This review is so overdue! About two months ago, I got a haircut from Celia. It was relatively soon after another haircut which made my hair go kind of crazy. Celia came highly recommended by a friend who also goes to Glo Salon, as she's well-versed with curly hair, which I happen to have. Before she got started on my hair, we had a chat about my expectations and how she'd make that into reality. I wasn't looking to lose much length, since I'd just had several inches cut off weeks prior. Instead, I just wanted my hair to calm down. Celia got what I was saying and did just that! She truly worked magic on my hair. She styled it so well with product and no heat. It was crazy to see how pretty my natural hair could be with such little intervention. I was excited to have Celia do my hair. She cut it and bleached my roots then toned them. Once the cut was done I expressed unhappiness which she responded by texturizing it and paid of course. With tip almost $200. Before I left I confirmed that if I was still unhappy I could call her and have it fixed which she agreed. I gave it a couple of days and tried different ways to wear it but when the primer wore off and I was left with roots that were not the color they are supposed to be I decided to send her a text. No response....... Then 4 or 5 days after that I thought maybe she didn't get it so I left a message. I still haven't received any response whatsoever. I am very disappointed. I was anxious to give a stylist another shot after so much shitty work done to my hair, and paying so much, but i saw her work on insta (@basialynnn) and thought I'd give it another shot. I even am traumatized to get trims but she SLAYED my shit. She is a true genius and perfectionist, her work shows in itself she refuses to do anything less than perfect. I flew in from Florida to get married in Vegas and I found Jaclin Garcia(Makeup) through word of mouth. Who in turn led me to Amanda(Hair). They were both AMAZING! Love love Amanda!! I was recommended to her and after loving my previous stylist for the last few years I was reluctant just like anyone to trust my hair to someone else. I had texted her previously to warn her about the mass amount of hair I have. The minute I met her I felt relaxed. She was energetic, excited and super open to all that I had to tell her about what I wanted done with my hair. I had showed her a picture of the color I wanted and she was honest and said she may not get me that light but she was going to go as light as I could without ruining my hair. It took her almost 2 hours to foil my hair, yes a long time (again I have tons of hair) and thru the whole process she was talkative, making me laugh, explaining what she was doing and checking to see if I was comfortable. Fast forward 4 hours...my hair is done and OMG did I love it! She cut a lot off my hair, textured it so I had volume and colored it to brighten it up! She gave me a whole new look and its amazing!!! Trust me when I say, you WILL leave happy every time. This salon is so chic and beautiful inside, with the most talented and nicest stylists. I have an extremely hard time trusting anyone with my hair, but I am so at ease every time I see Amy. She is the only person who I have been seeing for years and I wouldn't have it any other way. Amy knows exactly what I want and delivers beautiful results every time. I was very nervous with coloring my hair, but I knew I wanted to be blonde! Lol. Amy knew how to ease me into the transition and my hair was healthy the whole time. I became the blonde I always dreamed to be. Now that may seem simple, but it is not. Blonde is a process and it takes effort to keep your hair healthy throughout the process. I listen to my stylist, followed her lead and I am very thankful I do. Customer service is excellent here and they even have grade A products such as shampoos and hair masks that you need to keep your hair healthy and fab looking between visits. I'm a life long "dye hard" blonde. I came to Arianna for a color correction because the last colorist insisted on using a purple toner on my hair despite my urging her not to. My hair is far too porous for colored toner, it MUST Be neutral for my hair to shimmer and glow. Arianna listened to me unlike other colorists who thought they "knew better." Since being with Arianna, my hair is in incredible shape; it's strong, healthy, and more full with a lot less breakage. She knows what she's doing and can be trusted with bleach.... which is not easy to find! The photos show variances in color simply due to lighting, but you get the idea. read more

I came to Glo, following my stylist Hillary Page. She made a great decision. This is a lovely salon. It's not hoity-toity & pretentious like other spots in the valley, but still feels like an oasis. The owner is great. The stylists seems to all like each other. I can only speak of Hillary's capabilities but she is amazzzzzing. Hillary makes my blonde sing. She's also really incredible with extensions. I don't have them, but I've seen her work and it's beautiful. She's great with listening to what I want and recommending what will work best for my hair, complexion and styling abilities. I would not trust ANYONE else. read more

I went to Ashley for the beaded weft extensions and it was the worst experience ever !! I can list off so many reasons why . First she was 30 minutes late !! So unprofessional she was calling her coworker/assistant dense behind her back , I had to come in days later because of how loose they were getting and she had the beads spreaded so far apart . Anyway the girl up front was super nice and welcoming, I even got some complimentary products and I got lucky because they were having a special so I got a good percentage off which is awesome. Just walked into Glo and have faced the worst experience of being shouted out. I waited patiently in a lobby room to ask for more information. But as soon as they noticed me one lady shouted out. We scheduled something for a few days out and then the day of she texts me that she got double booked. Passes me off to her partner and gets me in later that day. Great. I get another text saying that she's out of the salon and asked if I can come in at 6. Ok. Get another text, cancelled. Asks if I can come in tomorrow, I can, and then says she's not sure if she'll be able to make it. Will not be trying to make an appointment here again! Celia has by far been the best person to dye my hair! I love her work and she always gets the texture I want, I spent a majority of my teenage years trying to communicate that perfect spiky kind of choppy pixie style to hair stylists and she made it happen without me needing to even tell her! The worst stylist I have come across; she not only did not keep her promise on the price she was going to charge me but she did not do my hair as I asked; she washed my hair 4 times had no idea what she was doing; took 5 hours for at least a 2hr work and they have all patients sitting together not 6 ft apart or taking turns to wash your hair. I really hate leaving this review, but customer service is so huge for me that it can make or break how I feel about spending money somewhere. Amy did my hair for years and I stopped coming in because my daughter was going through hair school at the time and I had her do my hair instead so that she could get credit for the hours. I texted Amy on June 20th to see if I can schedule an appointment for my younger daughter and Amy texted me back & said she was out of town and would get back to me the next week, but it's been almost 3 weeks and I've never heard back from her. It would be much easier to schedule and appointment through the salon, but Amy does her own scheduling so you have to either call or text her directly. Obviously, I took my daughter elsewhere and would have a really hard time referring anyone to this salon. Had I never had my hair done here before, I would've given this a 1 star but Amy is a decent stylist so I opted for 2 stars just for the lack of customer follow through . Okay ladies so I was a first time new customer here at this salon and let me tell you everything that I wanted wasn't going as planned. I had dark hair with yellowish blonde mix (recently cut) to be healthy. Once the girl bleached my hair i was sent to be under the heat chair for 30 mins causing it to be more damage. Then I was send over to wash it out and brushing it while it was wettt! Making my hair more fragile and damage. I was legit freaking out due to the amount of hair falling out. I wanted to cry. I was there for 7 1/2 hours .I had my front hair cut uneven and someone else came to "fix it" and said "it won't be noticeable if you curl it" Once again still wasn't fixed enough and I no longer wanted to get more hair cut off. I wanted a refund of half of what I paid to be fair and I was told No. it might look good in picture but in reality I have a bunch of split ends and hair fall. I won't be back anymore due to poor customer service. Now I have to fix my hair again and make it grow out and fix someone else mistake. read more

Glo Salon is a new salon that recently opened in my neighborhood. Since it is so close, I decided to give it a try. I scheduled an appointment with Amy, and I'm glad I did! She took the time to listen to what I hoped to achieve, made some suggestions, and made my vision become reality. Upon walking in, I found the ambience to be fresh, upbeat, and welcoming. Every person I encountered was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. I waited to write my review until my second visit to be sure my joy in finding my new salon was justified. It was. Alexa was at a different salon when I first went to her for Keratin smoothing treatment, and she is so talented that I followed when she changed locations to Glo Salon. It's obvious Alexa enjoys her work, is a perfectionist, and gives me the most beautiful hair. She took away the frizz and now I have the silkiest, smoothest hair. It's really hard to find a salon artist that is committed to doing the work right the first time. I came across a salon artist through Instagram by the name of Ashley and I was really impressed with her work. When I contacted her, I told her exactly what I wanted, needed and expected and she went above and beyond to ensure my visit exceeded my satisfaction. The salon was closed on Monday and even though I contacted her on short notice, she was still able to move her schedule around to meet my needs on Monday night. The time we met was definitely reasonable since I got off at 5:30 p.m. and I was able to still make my appointment at 6:15 p.m. which I was definitely on time. She opened up the salon out of consideration for me and I have not came across an individual such as Ashley willing to accommodate my needs on such a short notice and also make sure my needs were well overall met. I simply explained to her that I have too many split ends, grey hairs and my hair is completely dead. I told her that I wanted to trim/cut my hair, dye my hair a dark chocolate red brown color, shampoo/deep condition it and style it. Upon my arrival, even though I showed her an picture of what the color I want is similar to, she already had the color mix prepared. Ashley is an artist that knows exactly what you need and want just by telling her. Her efforts to make sure I left the salon comfortable was peaceful. My fiancee was really impressed since he was there with me and the following day at work, I received several compliments. ALL THANKS TO ASHLEY! I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT MY HAIR AND ABOUT MYSELF! I had been in a very bad car accident , the medications I took caused a lot of my hair to fall out ,the hair that grew back was extremely fine ...I was embarrassed to go any where . My daughter has been going to Britt & her hair looks the best I have ever seen it , so she took me to see Britt at Glo salon ...everyone there was so nice ,I felt very comfortable .
