Deceptive practice is the business model. This review is of the location in Waterford, NJ…read more Be sure to check your sales contract for 1) change in vehicle pricing. 1k was added to the advertised price. 2) give the sales person in writing the amount of your down payment to give to the finance guy. A verbal amount was given to the salesman which was higher than what he relayed to the finance guy. Once discovered, an additional call and the redoing the contract to included the correct down payment and monthly payment amount was required. 3) the addition of a warranty. It is made to seem like the warranty is covered in cost by the dealer with the wording 'it comes with a warranty' (it's not; it added to the price) The warranty only covers cosmetic damages to the vehicle, not the mechanics like the engine, turbo, etc and will significantly increase the amount financed and taxes as the warranty is expensive for what is covered. 4) Ensure the approval letter be given to the finance guy. Even after presenting a pre approval letter, finance made additional inquiries with other lenders without my permission. Once discovered, it was determined the salesman never informed finance of the pre approval. 5) Have the vehicle throughly inspected by a mechanic not employed by the dealership if you're expecting not to have to put money into the vehicle immediately. The lie they will tell you is their mechanic did a thorough inspection when in fact, at least in this case, that was not true. Luckily, extensive research on the potential repairs needed for the year, make, and model of vehicle purchased was done beforehand, so repairs were expected. After discovering the issues outlined above, contacting the dealership and not getting a reply, a letter was written with the promise to report them to the state, an acceptable compromise was reached.

He and I, both explained to Manny that I know very little about cars and I just wanted good, basic, reliable transportation. Manny's was an hour away but my friend assured me it was worth it, as I was nervous about not being able to have my neighborhood mechanic look at the car before purchasing. Manny sold me a 2002 Toyota Camry with 145,000 miles and repeatedly stated, "trust me, this is a 'green light' car, you are good to go with this, I want to help a veteran out." I am not a "car guy", and beyond looking for the very basic stuff, like fluid leaks and making sure the car starts, I have no idea at what I am looking, I am not a macho guy trying to prove that I am gear head, and I readily admit it. I just want to be treated honestly. Manny knew this and took advantage of it. The car seemed to drive well and Manny told me the car was just what I needed. I paid cash to save some money and took it home. I took it in for PA inspection stickers and here is what happened when inspected and verified by two licensed mechanics that do not know each other, one is located in Philadelphia and the other is located in Bensalem. Their reports were virtually identical: 1. failed emission inspection, 2. failed safety inspection, 3. major oil leak in valve cover gaskets, 4. bad spark plugs, 5. bad brakes, 6. bad rotors, 7. brake lights out, 8. bad rear sway bar bushings, 9. broken flex pipe, 10. broken window washer nozzle, 11. broken sway bar bushing bracket bolt, 12. bad struts, 13. bad power steering belt, 14. bad battery that can't be recharged. I called Manny and immediately his accent mysteriously became super thick and his understanding of English suddenly decreased. He stated that "green light" can mean anything and that to him it means the engine starts and the transmission works, that's all. I acknowledged that the term "green light" is subjective as there is no legal definition, but that he knew what I perceived it to be when we he utilized the term. He stated that it is not his responsibility to make sure that I correctly understand or interpret what he means. He then told me he was busy and had to go. And here I am, broke and stuck... This was easily…read morethe worst, most unprofessional automotive experience of my life, which ironically pushed me to go have the best experience of my life at a completely different dealership. My girlfriend and I drove to the Voorhees location to look at a silver Honda Civic. We called ahead, and customer care assured us the car would be pulled up and ready. It wasn't. When we walked in, we met a salesman named Frank. I am a pleasant guy and like to make jokes, so I playfully teased him that they were "0 for 1" since the car wasn't out front. Instead of basic customer service, Frank immediately copped an attitude. He left to check his system, came back, and angrily told me the car was currently on a test drive (even though it was still parked right out front). He then loudly announced in front of the entire showroom and my girlfriend that they had run my credit and I "couldn't even afford the car." Here is the insane part: I never gave them my information to run a credit check. We were buying the car in cash with a certified check and didn't even need financing. Frank had mixed me up with another customer and was publicly humiliating me over someone else's credit score. When I realized his mistake, he offered zero apologies, called me a "cocky kid," and told me to leave. I demanded a manager, Lew, who switched us to a new salesman two cubicles down. While we waited, Frank actually called another salesman over, and they stood there whispering and pointing at us with a smirk on his face. It was so incredibly unwelcoming and childish that we got up and left. The regional director, Brian, called to apologize and set me up at their Williamstown location the next day to look at a black Civic instead. We agreed on a price of $29,382 (after I caught them trying to sneak in a $299 window-etching fee). I told the saleswoman, Nor, that I was driving back to PA to get the cashier's check and handle the insurance switch, and would be back by 4:00 PM. By 2:00 PM, she was texting and calling, trying to pressure me. When I told her not to rush me, she threatened to move the car to another location in Haverford Township just to force my hand. I was completely done with the high-pressure, disrespectful games at Auto Lenders. I took my family's advice and drove straight to Piazza Honda of Springfield. I worked with their sales manager, Frank Crinite, who treated us like absolute gold. The ultimate punchline for Auto Lenders? I walked out of Honda of Springfield with a BRAND NEW 2026 Honda Civic Sport for $30,005. I spent barely $630 more to get a brand-new car rather than dealing with the miserable, disrespectful staff at Auto Lenders trying to hustle me for a 3-year-old 2023 model. Avoid Auto Lenders at all costs. Go see Frank Crinite at Honda of Springfield instead.
