Deceptive practice is the business model. This review is of the location in Waterford, NJ. Be sure to check your sales contract for 1) change in vehicle pricing. 1k was added to the advertised price. 2) give the sales person in writing the amount of your down payment to give to the finance guy. A verbal amount was given to the salesman which was higher than what he relayed to the finance guy. Once discovered, an additional call and the redoing the contract to included the correct down payment and monthly payment amount was required. 3) the addition of a warranty. It is made to seem like the warranty is covered in cost by the dealer with the wording 'it comes with a warranty' (it's not; it added to the price) The warranty only covers cosmetic damages to the vehicle, not the mechanics like the engine, turbo, etc and will significantly increase the amount financed and taxes as the warranty is expensive for what is covered. 4) Ensure the approval letter be given to the finance guy. Even after presenting a pre approval letter, finance made additional inquiries with other lenders without my permission. Once discovered, it was determined the salesman never informed finance of the pre approval. 5) Have the vehicle throughly inspected by a mechanic not employed by the dealership if you're expecting not to have to put money into the vehicle immediately. The lie they will tell you is their mechanic did a thorough inspection when in fact, at least in this case, that was not true. Luckily, extensive research on the potential repairs needed for the year, make, and model of vehicle purchased was done beforehand, so repairs were expected. After discovering the issues outlined above, contacting the dealership and not getting a reply, a letter was written with the promise to report them to the state, an acceptable compromise was reached. read more

Car did not start a week after i brought it on May 16, 2025. Brought it back n they "replaced a fuse and said they were contractually done" Cut off a week later. It has been shutting off since. They said they would send a tow truck which never came and car has been in the shop ever since. Still can't drive it because it's shutting off on me. Misleading pricing. I told them I saw add on cargurus website. It listed one price. Went in and did a test drive and liked the car. When we sat down to do numbers! Everything changed. Price on the guru's website was wrong and they blamed them for not listing the price was with a 2900. Down payment. If we go on the dealers website we would see the real price. Sold my wife a vehicle and the air conditioner didn't work and the convertable top want go up or down. The people we were dealing with want talk to us and keep giving us the run around. We're driving around with expired drive out tags,however after leaving message after message, they sent us a letter giving us more time for driving. Not sure how this letter is going to work if we get stopped. The car runs great and everything seem to work except the two things mentioned. We can't reach the owner for whatever reason and the manager for this GMotors's dealership is not very helpfu. He doesn't seem to care about our issue, just wanna sell car. Inquired about a specific vehicle and set up an appointment. Got to the G MOTORS location an hour away from my home. Was reminded of the appointment. The vehicle was not there. I was not told the vehicle wasn't there. When I got there the sales person tried to show me another vehicle. When I inquired where was the vehicle I wanted I was told it was out on loan. Very unprofessional and manipulative. They blamed the miscommunication on a call center. I was talking to and texting a person at the dealership not a call center. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THEM!!! Just horrible! Purchased a truck in March, just under $10000 and less then 60 days the truck locked up on the Atlantic City Express Way. Could barely get it to the shoulder and could have been a serious accident waiting to happen. Had it towed to a friends shop to hopefully get fix only to find out it a piece of junk now!! car purchased in March. Haven't put any real miles. The tires were the wrong size which messed up the ABS system. Car is currently is the shop with MAJOR repairs costing 6000. I called and spoke with someone who stated to complete the credit application online, which was done. The company then runs my credit then ghost me. No call NOTHING. I've called several times and everyone I spoke to at the location would tell me let me look up your information and call you back. it's days now and I haven't heard back from no one. Now my issue is, if they couldn't work with me, It would have been respected as a business to say we can't work with you but you guys continue to play in my face and not say anything. Absolutely horrible. I called to get some info about jeep that was priced at $7999. Spoke to one guy and he ended up hanging up on me because I asked why their fees were so high . He couldn't really tell me and hung up on me . I called back and spoke to Joe and he said he would run the number to get the price out the door and he told me to hold . I held for 30 minutes and he never came back . I called back and he yelled at me about looking their fees up on their website. I texted a man from the dealership (sorry did not catch his name) and asked if the car was really 1100 had to ask twice and he said yes plus tax. So I drove over an hour away excited. When I told him I would take the car he told me it would be 4000 but they would knock off a 1000. I was blown away asked why 3000 he said their fees are 3000 on thier website. I ddi not find the car on their woebsite so I did not know. So today I looked on thier website. Just so you know you will be paying over 2000 dollars the price the car is listed for. This is from their website so no one else has to waste thier time gas and tolls like I did. If I was told that when I asked I would not have bothered to go down there and then I was nasty to me because I did not want the car. Like I wasted his 15 minutes. When he wasted over 2 hours of my life. If he was just honest when I asked him in a text this all would have been avoided and I could have done something more produtive. The worst Carlot not only in Jersey, but in the United States. Purchased a car from them, did not even bother to wash it or clean it out. Shipped to me over 1000 miles away and came in completely filthy dirty. Bad shocks and alignment which cost me over $4500 to repair once I purchased the car. Unprofessional and unethical! Salesperson answered every question with, "I don't know " or "I'm new", or "I have to ask my boss but he's not here", etc. Answers that my daughter was able to find online. I gave a 100% refundable deposit with a signed agreement then when I asked for it back got excuses then they tried to charge a $50 fee! Stay away! It is a scam! Addendum: on 8/7/24 the manager called me basically saying that since I had finally received my full refund that I should remove my review. He stated that salesperson (Fernando?) is just a salesperson, only there to sell cars and doesn't know anything else. I explained that 3 other dealership salespersons could answer those questions. I stated that the review would remain, thank you, and hung up. He immediately called back this time with a more stern, hostile tone asking what I wish to accomplish with my review. I said to prevent people from buying your cars and to please not call me again. Fast forward the check engine light came on a day later after I bought it, I called the dealership and warranty they won't help me even after I contacted the owner of g motor name Alex. Told gmotor to cancel the warranty and give me my money but they refused since they did diagnosed, refund is 1500 which is nothing close to diagnostic. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible! They do not honor the prices that they land on through negotiation. I negotiated a price with the salesman but when we got to the purchase portion, the "sales manager" said no. Really? We had gone back and forth for days on this car and finally settled on a fair price, but when I called to put my deposit to hold the car, the sales manager added $1,500 to the price. That was more than we had started at! They do not keep their word and have no qualms about it! I do not recommend going there. People already have issues trusting used car dealers, now here is another reason! They bump UP prices after negotiation. I believe that negotiation is supposed to be a middle ground, no? Not meet in the middle then add to benefit the seller. Oh, right and LIE to the customer to get them to the sales table and switch it up on them! You see, some people do not have unlimited income or are willing to increase their debt for a lie. I happen to be one of these people. I purchased a car from here on march 12th. The car is alright. It is a hybrid and before completing my purchase I asked Freddie if there was a charging cable included with the car. He assured me it was there and I trusted him because he seemed kind (but then again so does any good scam artist). I take it home and there was no cable! Those things are expensive and I would not have gone through with purchasing the car if it had no cable. I assumed it was a mistake so I called and asked about it he said he would investigate and call me back. He did not call me back. Then whenever I called, he would not answer for days. I called G motors after a while and was left on hold for an entire hour while they tried to get me in contact with him. Then they wanted to say "It was definitely in there because we charged it here. It must've gotten misplaced when we got the car serviced. So there's nothing we can do." When I said that was not acceptable because that is a piece that belongs to me as a part of my purchase where they assured me the cable would be there, they finally connected me with Freddie. Then, Freddie said he would order one and send it to me. That it was all a simple mistake and he would take care of it. I had to call multiple times for updates on if the cable was currently being shipped so I would know when to expect the package. Needles to say I have not received my cable and seemingly never will since Freddie has gone back to not taking my calls. Many have told me they probably allowed me to get a good deal and then took it out of the trunk while placing the temporary license so they would still win at the end of the day. Which, if I'm not mistaken is theft. I have no way to charge my half electric car. Even better they assured me there was nothing wrong with the car and it had been fixed when they bought it. Lies. There is an issue with the sunroof which does not shut (we brought this up to them and they said they'd get back to us... they did not) and there is an issue with a pump which makes the car leak coolant. The mechanic is trying to charge us 1000 to fix it. After reading the one star google reviews I saw this is common practice from them. The 5 star reviews are only there because they beg for good reviews after selling you a car. Thank God I held off on my good review to see the scamming begin. DO NOT BUY FROM G MOTORS! In July 2023 bought a car for my 17-year-old daughter. after explaining to them that I needed something reliable as she already had one car that had problems and we wanted to get her something more reliable. We then purchase a vehicle and one day later the check engine light came on. I called our sales person and he stated not to worry that they would have to fix it and make it right. Here we are April 2024 and my daughters car still cannot pass inspection and they basically wipe their hands clean after going back-and-forth various times, and said they can't fix it. I had to pay for new catalytic converters, as well as all for oxygen sensors, and one who knows about cars knows that they are very expensive. Even with all that being done engine light continues to be on. I've gone back to ask and see if I buy the factory catalytic converters if he could help me at least with the labor so we can rectify the problem. Still waiting for a phone call back after three months, Whatever you do if you do decide to buy for them make sure you get the #Warranty! So sad that this had to be our experience as we're still paying for a car that will not pass inspection! read more
