Service was friendly with a smile too The competition is fortunate that this Arco AM PM store is located on the other side of the overpass. As always, Arco's gas prices are cheaper. They only take cash or debit cards. If you use your debit card, there is a 35 cent charge. Worth it cause of the price difference. I think AM PM's slogan is "too much good stuff". It was given multiple extra pumps, a much better flow for traffic, and the sensors for the pump areas so you know when to pull forward in line. Now when I stop here, I either pull up directly to a pump or maybe wait 5 minutes max. The worst time of day you will still only see a 5 to 10 minute wait. It has been absolutely worthwhile and I will now sometimes go out of my way to fill up here. Thank you for the upgrade, corporate!

Sodas, coffee, chips, snacks and some other specialty items I saw that they advertise on the door. One thing I've partake in was their touch less car wash. Which I'm impressed with. You drive into and this little screen prompts you to slowly drive in as it sprays off your car the tell you to stop and put your car in park. Then the machine does the rest without touching your car. All done with high powered sprayers and then when done you get to drive through a 2 minute blow dry. And it's a buy 4 get one free with a card they give you and the punch for you. Worth it I think. The whole thing takes about 5 minutes. I just couldn't give 5* because the gas isn't cheap enough for this to be my go to place for fill ups. In a pinch it's handy.

They have done their best to streamline their "self-checkout" process. However, the Costco Food Court lines are crazy long, and move at different paces based on who is attending to it. I wish they did have drink carriers, since the hot dog is a common item that is ordered and it comes with a drink. Those drinks stack up and it would be convenient to have a drink carrier to manage all of the drinks. They recently added chicken tenders to their menu, and I don't recommend them. You get 5 tenders for $6.99. They come with a Chick-Fil-A-type sauce, but it doesn't help cover just how salty the tenders are on their own. And they were extra salty! The strawberry banana smoothie also tasted very processed. I wouldn't recommend that either. I miss the classic berry smoothie they used to offer back in the day. I'll stick to the Costco hot dog deal.

While I was waiting in line, a man came into the store with a pit bull that didn't appear to be under proper control. I was next in line before he walked in, but he was helped first. When it was finally my turn, the dog had moved closer to the counter. I politely told the cashier I didn't want to walk up because I have PTSD and a severe fear of pit bulls after being attacked by one years ago. Instead of showing any understanding, she rolled her eyes at me and acted annoyed. This wasn't about disliking dogs--it was about feeling safe and being treated with respect. A little kindness and empathy would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and dismissed. I work long 12-hour shifts in customer service myself, so I understand that work can be stressful. Even so, I believe every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect. Sadly, because of this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
