Brundage location like I normally do…read more I come to this store at least 3-4 times a week for gas and snacks, but this visit was very disappointing. The cashier, Mayra, was rude, unwelcoming, and acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. While I was waiting in line, a man came into the store with a pit bull. The dog was on a leash, but the owner wasn't holding onto it, so the dog was free to walk around near the front counter. I was next in line before he walked in, but he was helped first. When it was finally my turn, the dog was still walking around near the counter. I politely told the cashier that I didn't feel comfortable going up because I have PTSD and a severe fear of pit bulls after being attacked by one years ago. Instead of showing any concern, she rolled her eyes at me, acted annoyed, and simply moved to another register. What upset me the most was that neither the dog's owner nor the cashier seemed to care that I felt unsafe. As a customer, I shouldn't have to choose between paying for my items and feeling safe. A little understanding and professionalism would have made a huge difference. I have been a loyal customer of this store for a long time, but after being treated this way, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope management addresses this situation and reminds employees that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and that customer safety should always come first. If you have small children please don't take your children to this store since they allow any dogs to come into the store without proper leash.

But today was a different experience. I accidentally locked my Keys in the car with my child in it. They came to the rescue so fast and utilized all of the resources to help me open up my car safely, quickly, efficiently. The gentleman next-door at the car wash, I can't say enough good things about them! The owner and his wife and their son are always so gracious and wonderful. Gas is gas... it's always on par with all the other gas stations nearby, but the one thing that sets this place above the other gas stations is the snacks! They support tons of local gems, from Smith's Bakery to Dewars to even some of the local spots that make protein desserts. This location is always busy, but the employees are quick so you're in and out with no problems. Sometimes there's a line, but it moves pretty quickly. This is located in a nice area, but traffic in the area gets congested at times.

It all tasted super fresh and delicious, and the nice folks behind the counter mentioned they had gotten those in that day. This gas station is not your normal gas station. They have a little bit of everything in here. My favorite thing about this Sully's is the Smith's bakery inside. Yes I know, Smith's is everyone's reminder of their childhood in Bakersfield... but for some reason I never get tired of the champagne cupcake. It's my favorite here. Other than the goodies from Smith's you can find deals on the energy drinks and also you get a little small reward if you sign up and get a Sully's card. It's kind of a little coupon card basically. I'm not an energy drink person, but I'll get it from time to time for my husband or my oldest son. This facility is clean and the staff is really nice. My last visit here everyone was super cheerful early in the morning. Very nice way take start your day is to visit an establishment where everyone makes you feel like they are happy you came to visit.
