I echo eveything else said about this place: overpriced retail, rude management and a parking lot that resembles a post-apocalyptic dream sequence. No doubt the abandoned husks of cars that litter the place are from former owners who said "F- this place: I'd rather just leave my hoopdie here than have to deal with these a-holes." This station can be described in one word: OVERPRICED. I'm not sure if it is because they are so convenient to the highway or what, but their prices are easily 10-20 cents more than other stations in the area or in Burbank. Also, if you are a female, I would not recommend going here at night. Lots of shady characters hanging around and I have rarely been here without being approached by someone asking for a handout. read more

This gas station is incredibly expensive ($1.50 more per gallon than gas stations five miles in any direction). Today (July 2015) they're charging around $5.10 per gallon while a Shell station in La Canada Flintridge is charging $3.60 per gallon. This gas station isn't near an airport or rental car terminal, so I don't know why they're marking up gas prices by 40-50%. To add insult to injury, they also charge you extra to use a credit or debit card. They also allow bums to hang out around the perimeter, so there are significant security concerns, especially after the sun goes down. read more

Shady. The lighted sign reads Self-Service and Full-Service. I used my debit card at the self service pump only to find the higher gas price being dispensed. I stopped the pump and went inside to inquire about the price. The guy inside said that the price was for cash and credit/debit cards. He told me to look harder and I'd find the signage. Motorists beware, this is the gas station from hell. It is close to where I work and they sell both of the cigarettes I smoke. Both of which are not easy to find. Every single time I go there I swear I will never be back, but then before I get on the 134 my gas light goes on and I realize I'm out of cigs. Crap. And I'm back. Let me explain.. Never have I encountered a pleasant person working behind the counter. Sometimes I will go in to buy stuff and the guys behind the counter will finish with the person in front of me then say, "We're closed for the next five minutes." The first time this happened I thought it was a joke, but no. They refused to help me or the rest of the people behind me while the two of them argued about papers one of them was holding for the next five minutes. Once they finished they said, "OK, we are open now." Why didn't I leave? Because I am a picky cigarette smoker and the Mobile station across the freeway doesn't carry what I want. One more example of why these guys are evil (evil pronounced eeville). I pull in, pay for my gas, and as I'm filling up I notice that the price listed on the sign is ten cents cheaper than the price listed at my pump. I go inside and alert the attendant of this error. Does he care? No. Will he give me my money back? No. Maybe these guys have a personal vendetta against me. I really don't know. What I do know is that I've got to stop going here. read more

Three words describe this place: rip-fucking-off. I suppose that's only 2 if you don't count the expletive, but that expletive is VERY important to this place. The gas here is easily 30 cents more than what you get 5 miles in any other direction. If your indicator light is on, and your car is running on fumes, by all means stop by here...but fill up with a gallon max, then continue on your way. read more

ATTENTION!! Do not come here. Got charged $99 on my card!! I have a 2.0 liter 1991 camry. I filled it up with 13 gallons which costs $54 and some change. How can you even put $99 in a car?! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! The cashier guy middle eastern named MIRAN, kicked me out of the store. I was getting coffee and trying to fill my cup and it just took me so long (which i want it to be really tasty) , the told me that he's going to close the store and I needed to step out of the place like at that very moment! It gets one star for existing. Other than that I would have given it zero for lousy service, false advertising, and overpricing. I went to use my Ralph's rewards. The pump said I got 20 cents off per gallon at $4.21 a gallon, therefore should have showed $4.01. It only went to $4.17 and when I went in to ask the manager why and to please fix it he said "cash only". I replied "you're the only shell station that doesn't honor the 20¢ off reward by credit card. Do you want my $70 fillup or should I take my money and my business elsewhere?" He said "sorry, can't" so I drove a quarter mile to the Mobil station and got a lower price than I would have with a discount from the overpriced Shell. Avoid!! Shell is normally one of the most cost-effective stations around. This is one of two exceptions in all of Los Angeles that I've seen (the other in Chinatown on Hill). Don't go here. Went to snack shop - items are not marked for price and when I bought 5 items, receipt was not itemized. I went back in and asked teller to provide an itemized receipt and he would only do verbally. He couldn't add up to the total (he was over so he said he gave me a "discount") which suggests to me all their prices are made up. read more

This is a great place, they are very courteous, especially the cashier named Ray. They greet me with a smile, help me with my car such as checking the oil and transmission oil and brake fluid and water levels. They're drinks are extra cold and the candy i get is always fresh. Its truly a wonderful experience filling up my gas tank over at Pasadena Shell. read more

This place is HORRIBLE!! It is overpriced and the people that work there are so rude . I bought a fountain soda one day as my summer job was right down the street, and when I finished paying as I was walking out I accidentally without notice dropped a small piece of the straw wrapper on the floor . As I was exiting the clerk behind the cash register starts to yell at me in front of other customers and makes me pick it up and throw it away in a very rude manner. I didn't mind him asking me to throw away the piece of paper but the way he yelled at me was unnecessary. I was only 14 at the time and I didn't know better but if the same thing were to happen again I would definitely yelled at him back. This is the most racist business I have been to. I was born and raised in Pasadena and witnessed " my " city go through growing pains like most medium to small towns . But this She'll has been consistent with their racist behavior . I work early in the am and cycle to work in China town , so I ride by there to pick up various things and every single time I ask for something at the window who ever is working acts as if they don't hear me and then after retrieving the items I asked for to purchase they keep the merchandise behind the glass say nothing and look at me ... I ask how much ... Nothing ... I ask again ... Then they bark an amount at me and I pay and leave . I tally up the tax on what I purchased and it's always off in their favor . Today it was off by 1.50 which isn't much until you see how they treat their non black patrons . They can hear them clearly and even offer to open the store part for them so they could better shop. This has been going o. For more than 4 years. They know who I am ..I'm hard to forget .. Especially when I'm there at least twice a week of not more . This is not an isolated incident is what my point is . I know that they think I'm a black homeless dude or something because I have dread locks . But I have had it 1.50 twice a week for 4 years that's 624.00 bucks ! I'm leaving this terrible review here and plan on going as far as I can . Thee is no reason to have to experience any kind of thing like that in 2016...
