The layout is super cute and has plenty of photo opps if you're into that like me.But prepared because they definitely follow a certain dress code. My friend and I were both able to get in but we saw some people get turned away because what they were wearing was not good enough to get in lol (embarrassing af). Went here with boo day before my birthday. It was really nice! It was 3 levels to it. The crowd is mixed and the there was DJs for each level I believe. Really enjoyed this place! We sent from 6-8 pm and it wasn't packed. Very relaxing. The weather was beautiful and it's mostly outside. Not sure if it will be different during the Houston summer heat but a cool night in April it was fantastic. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! My friends and I decided to stop by this place as it's in our neighborhood. We arrived around 5 pm and noticed there was no one at the entrance checking IDs etc. First red flag! The weather was perfect and we all had on summer wear as it made sense for an outdoor rooftop bar. We spent at least $1000 as we were there celebrating my birthday until 9 pm. After we close out tab, I'm approached by a middle aged white guy who appeared to be a manager/worker at the facility because I noticed him throughout the day. He tells me that I'm not in dress code and I have to leave the venue. I had on a nice button up shirt and shorts. There were no visible signs or anyone enforcing dress code prior to this guy coming up to me. I was shocked to say the least but not at all surprised as this seems to be a common theme for bars in Houston. Instead of making a scene my friends and I respectfully leave the venue and WILL NEVER PATRON THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! Save your money and time!! It's happened with black and white men vontrolling the door like the gates of heaven. We've been told men can wear shorts but not cargo shorts? Of course they had on cargo shorts. Pockets are pockets and we are older people! You can wear Nike but not Jordan's? What's the difference? So then we tell him we were entertaining guests from out of state and at least let them see the place we had hyped them up to enjoy the answer was a NO! Because our friend had on Jordans he couldn't enter the premises while my hubby has on Nike. Wtf!!!! What gives: black men buy the Jordan brand more than whites so let's discriminate? The black guy on the door most recently was just what the world doesn't need, someone who doesn't speak up for civil rights, denying entry to black men while letting whites enter without a word!! I've been here before and it was pretty inside but played lame music. I came tonight to give it another try because it looked busy. A Friday night. I wait in line to show my ID and my friend went this morning to get his ID turned so they cut the corner on his ID. even though it's still his ID. still 21. Still valid. Hasn't expired. They wouldn't let him in... UNTIL they asked "oh wait are you with them??" (Referring to us, a group of hot girls). Bouncer: "ok one sec I'll ask another bouncer if we can take you". Another bouncer comes with a flashlight. He takes all of our IDs. He says to my friend who is a woman and is 22: "your ID is fake im not taking this". THE ID IS NOT ONLY REAL BUT SHE IS TWENTY TWO YEARS OLD. she offered him a second form of ID and he refused to take it. The bouncers are so full of themselves and obviously can't read an ID or match a face to a picture. we even called over an officer and complained. We ended up leaving because no club is worth dealing with an ass bouncer. The only explanation for my friends not getting in is because they are both gay so 77 is homophobic. The two gay people in my party were given a hard time. Coincidence??? I think not. What a trash establishment. 77 has no idea who they just turned away. Big mistake. I don't even know where to begin... my boyfriend had been waiting to go to this bar for months for his birthday. We are long distance so I flew for his 21st birthday and we were so excited to go to this bar. We get there with about 8 people and we are all 21 years old and have real IDs. However, I got denied without any explanation as to why and everyone who was with me got denied after that for being "associated with me" even my friend who had already gotten in was then told to leave. We were all compliant with the dress code and none of us were even drunk so they had no reason to deny us. I asked the bouncer why we were getting denied and explained our situation hoping that he would let us in after. However, he just got defensive and told us to leave right away. This place is super pretty with it's multiple levels and great views. Music is good too. I recommend coming around 10 to avoid a line. If you show up at 11 or 11:30 you can be stuck waiting for a while as the place can get pretty crowded. Drink prices aren't too bad but can be hit or miss when it comes to alcohol content. read more

Really friendly staff and door men based on my first experience here tonight. I do love the all white with multicolor lights and unique bar design. I would normally look forward to coming back with such a nice ambiance, great music and staff, however, I was quite put off by all of the smoking that was allowed. I don't know if Midtown has changed it's rules and I'm certainly not trying to tell anyone how to live their lives. But it really took away from the whole experience to breathe in all of the cigarette smoke and to leave smelling like that. I hope this is something that will change in the future. Until then, I'll more than likely frequent other bars that are non smoking. read more
