This is my first time having Indian cuisine. I came here on a Friday at around 12:00pm. I was greeted by the owners son who was very friendly. We were promptly seated and began to eat the buffet. The food was very hot and fresh. Since I've never had Indian food I decided to try a bit of everything. The butter chicken and chicken tandoori was especially good! After we ate we left. I got outside to my new truck and the battery was dead. I went inside and asked the owners for for jumper cables. His dad came outside very quickly and helped me try to jump my truck for around 30 minutes! I had to get a new battery. He even let me keep the jumper cables for a few hours encase I needed them! After I got the battery replaced I returned the jumper cables to the son. He even offered me a free drink knowing I'd been there a while! 5+++++ stars for customer service, food, and just good people running this place. read more

The food here is very tasty, portions are huge (if ordering takeout) and the prices are great for what you get. The restaurant itself is a small hole in the wall buffet with plenty of tasty options if you're craving Indian, and the buffet is expanded further on the weekends. I tried this place with my family. We were very impressed with the selection. Having two very picky eaters with us, everybody was able to find something that they liked. We left full and satisfied. Pros: Several veggie selections and variations of spice to choose from. We don't have many Indian Pakistani restaurants to compare this one to, but all in all a great deal. We paid a little over 40$ including tip for four buffet dinners. Cons: we came in for dinner at 5pm and several dishes ran out within 15 minutes of our arrival and were not replenished. So there were some things that we didn't get an opportunity to taste. Also there is minimal seating. We will definitely eat here again and probably grab take out to have at home. read more

I had a buffet everything is okay when we hungry but the chicken biriyani was spoiled it smells old

I like this place they had about 10-15 dishes (maybe even more), chai, soups, samosas, biriyani, butter chicken, chili chicken, saag, vegetables, NIHARI! (lol), Chicken seekh kabob, naan, fountain drinks, etc I can't even remember but I liked that this was a totally new concept of Indian/Pakistani buffet. Keep in mind this is one of the few left Indian buffets and this caters to more American palates but it is enjoyable nonetheless. I really enjoyed the naan, biriyani, and chicken seekh kabobs. Currently the buffet runs $13/ person + $2 for fountain drinks I felt it was worth it considering no one else has all day buffets. Also, customer service is extremely catering and kind they are doing customer service above and beyond so please consider this when writing less than 5 star reviews because your votes make or break places and I can't believe I was hesitant to come here due to questionable reviews. This is a very bad buffet in my opinion it tasted to bad and it was not making sense because the fryums were so salty but the French fries had hardly that much salt. There service people are kind and they care that people who act obnoxious or drunk will get kicked out which it good though. The peshwari chicken was better, but seemed like they cooked it and then recooked it to heat up. Lastly, we came around 2 pm on a Thursday for pickup. Probably the worst Indian food I've ever had. The chicken tikka masala was watery like broth and had no flavor. My 3 year old thought it was soup, which wouldn't have been all bad for her if it didn't taste like nothing. The color was off on the chana masala, so I knew it was going to be bad before I tasted it. I was right, sadly. The chickpeas were super mushy and - again - no flavor. Garlic naan didn't have real garlic, but rather some kind of granulated/dried garlic. First you walk into the restaurant and see they have elected to "proudly display" their kitchen that is neglected of basic cleanliness. The same neglect extends to the dining area. Examples: Old buffet table dismantled with insulation, screws, and sawdust next to silverware. Completely unsanitary. Ceiling tiles missing and smoke hanging in the room indicating there is not proper ventilation. Also further evidenced by the stained walls and greasy floors covered with dirty carpets. Witnessed the cooking ladies licking their bare fingers and picking up gloves at the fingers and putting them on and touching the food. Another lady straight up licked her bare fingers and dug into a dish on the buffet without a glove and dug around to find a fried egg in a dish and proceeded to touch them all and then put it on a piece of bread while looking at me and smiled and started eating it while walking into the back room. Butter and milk sitting out at room temperature on next to the grill and no time stamps on the food as I can see the back of the buffet. Kitchen looks like the walls or cooking area has not been cleaned in years. If you choose to display your kitchen and techniques you should operate under the highest food preparation guidelines and exhibit professionalism. Also the service was horrible. I will never go back. I've had Kebab and Curry a few times now and I haven't been disappointed, so much so I had to write a review. Not many buffets I've gone to have had good food all around like this one does, everything has flavor and well seasoned. The owners are really nice and you can tell they want you to enjoy your experience there. The setting is a cute little vibe as well. Always clean when I go there. I noticed on the weekends they add a lot of special items to the buffet like Indian pizza, fries, spring rolls, fried chicken, etc. so definitely try them then too if you want more options. Let me start with saying this was my first time experiencing any type of middle eastern cuisine. I didn't know what to expect but wanted to be able to try different things at once so what better way to do so than a buffet. Some will say it's a buffet so it's probably not as good as a place where you order one dish. I have nothing to compare this to but it was every bit amazing. The flavors are wonderful and new. You can tell they make it fresh and with lots of love. My favorite thing I tried was something called Dal Makhani. It was rich, savory and warm with spices. Wasn't up to standards this time. Ordered delivery on Friday and my food was delayed for over an hour and I live 10 minutes from the restaurant. One of my vegan samosas was beef and I don't eat beef. Naan was tough to chew instead of soft and overcooked. Not satisfied with my aloo gobhi and fish masala either. Bland and not tasty. Someone dropped the ball. For lunch, we got takeout from here and ordered the chicken tikka masala and the palek paneer and ended up very disappointed with our food. The spice levels were incorrect- the dishes that we ordered were not adjusted at all and were mild, which lacked that "kick". The chicken masala lacked in flavor as well and was not buttery at all contrary to other masalas that we have tried. The Palek Paneer tasted oddly burnt for a lack of better words. I've tried this dish many times and never ran across this issue. We did like the naan that they gave us-but honestly that's just bread. We chose this place because in the area, this restaurant had the best reviews both in YELP and google for Indian food. But now that we have tried the dishes, we can't help but wonder if we were just given a bad batch of food or to never completely trust reviews..overall nothing worth eating again and disappointed. read more

This is a good place for lunch and I recommend this place. You should try it at least once. We ate here on a Friday from 12:30 until 1:00, and had no problem finding a place to sit. Indoor and outdoor seating available. TV on three walls and a reasonably good buffet bar. Very casual dining experience with music lightly playing. The food is very good and is spicy or as mild as you want. The items on the buffet are tasty and are what you would expect from an Indian/Pakistani restaurant. I recommend the Biryani and the chicken peshawari kebab. If you are American and eat halal and have ever wanted a good sausage, then the chicken peshawari kebab is for you, The staff working the day we came here was very nice and continually had my cup filled. Next time we are out in this area with our daughters, we're going to take them here also. Today, Friday, November 8, 2019, we took the girls here. We all ate and enjoyed ourselves. The value is unbeatable amazing meats and selection chicken, goat, biryani, wrap all of that up with some warm Naan and some chutney. This is the worst Indian restaurant I have been to in all my time in the US. The weekend buffet is overpriced for the sparse vegetarian spread. The food was either undercooked or burnt. For example the chole was nothing but canned garbanzo beans in a watery yellow "sauce". There is also a cross contamination risk. For example there was a piece of chicken in the potato fries tray. The ambience was dingy especially considering the price they charge and the substandard food they served. Ok so they have Indian Pakistani dishes. I went in for thier linch buffet in a Saturday and was veey impressed with the variety. They had 4-5 veg dishes, 3 chicken gravy items, 1 goat gravy and then paya and nihari. There was a lot to taste from but sadly the taste wasnt so great. It was mediocre as per the taste. Only the nihari and paya tasted good but rest were alright. This restaurant would be great who do not eat a lot of desi food since the taste isnt very authentic but so much variety and quite decent tasting dishes. The sweet dishes tasted good. read more

Price is fair and environment is mom and pops style. Its simple. You walk in and help yourself. Waitress will come by with drink orders. Our waitress was friendly and specially ordered us some fresh garlic butter Nan. Its was really good. If you like spicy , they have some items that will make you sweat. There was plenty if chicken items and rice. We went for the curry and nan really and we left full. I've been to 786 Kebab & Curry a few times for lunch. At slightly over $10, it's priced roughly what you'd expect for a pretty good lunch in the area. I have dined at 786 Kebab & Curry a few times because I am the worst kind of glutton. 786 has a fair number of meat and vegetable selections. After a few visits, I'm pretty sure that they will always serve the same things for lunch. In a lot of ways, this isn't bad. You know what you're getting here. There's the standard Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, and the like. The only thing truly lacking from the buffet is a spicy dish. 786 chooses to simply have spicy curry available as a sauce, but this of course doesn't work that well. Service is fairly average. They have almost everything on the buffet line, and the only thing the employees have to do is refill your drinks. This is sometimes done promptly, other times not. I've been to better Indian restaurants, but 786 Kebab & Curry is a fine place to dine in Gwinnett County. read more

This hidden gem has some of the best Indian food I've eaten. I've been a regular here for the last few years & it always exceeds expectations. Unlike most family owned restaurants I've been to, this place actually makes you feel at home because it's so comforting & the staff is welcoming, too. Eating here gives you a glimpse of the culture with the music playing in the background, the posh paintings along the walls & the cool Bollywood movies that play on the TV. This place is a great introduction to culture & I wish most restaurants would emulate this. The customer service is always amazing & the owners always make you feel heard. The service was spectacular here. Mohammed went out of his way to show my mother who is not familiar with Pakistani and Indian cuisine which foods are spicy and described all the flavors to her. Both my parents and I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and think it was well worth the visit and they usually don't branch out much with where they eat.
