Great food and fantastic service! My fiancé and I went for brunch just before the Saturday rush. We used the Yelp check-in to get a Bloody Mary each, on the house (thanks, Liam!). I got the Irish breakfast, which came with 2 perfectly cooked soft-boiled eggs, roasted tomatoes, beans, sausage, bacon, chanterelle mushrooms and some greens for garnish. Unfortunately, something bad seems to have happened to this place, because it seems as if they have resorted to using second-rate canned ingredients instead of fresh vegetables. Needed to get off the strip after all the casino food. 7th & Carson was about a 15 minute uber ride away and was soooo worth it! Everything about this place surpassed my expectations. Starting with the great service from Audrey, to the personal attention from the owner Liam. And the food, oh the food... to avoid waiting for a table we decided to sit at the bar and that is exactly where I would sit next time. You get to watch the expert chefs cook the food, including Andrew who is so funny and orchestrates multiple rounds of food to come out perfectly. We had the grilled peach and burrata salad, it was so refreshing and had a homemade pesto base under the salad so you get a yummy flavor bomb with each bite. Next was the lamb sausage pizzeta (?), perfectly delicious! And last the tandoori carrots. Who knew carrots could be a super star?! Roasted in the wood burning oven first (as almost every dish is) then rolled in a yummy spice and oil rub and then popped back in the over. They even roast the carrot tops and add fried parsnips to the top. It was delish! Oh, and the seasonal IPA was a excellent as well! The really cool thing about watching the chefs is that I know what I want to try next time. The fried chicken, margarita pizza, heirloom tomato salad, flatiron steak, charred octopus and the sliders are all on my list. I can't wait to go back! read more
