Definitely make a reservation ahead of time if you are coming on the weekend. The place is small and it does fill up fast. The diner looks like it's out of the 1950s or 60s. It is very cute and timeless. They even have a service bar you can sit at. I started with a coffee which is sourced from a local coffee maker. It is delicious. What is unique is that they have an array of different coffee cups they randomly serve the coffee in. For my meal I had the steak and eggs. The steak was unbelievable. The eggs and potatoes were good. The biscuit was yummy. My spouse had the chicken sandwich. He would not stop raving about it. Our waitress was very nice and made great recommendations.

Food: 4/5 Drink: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food was great, service wasn't bad, just REALLY slow. My guess is that they were short-handed, but being upfront about that kind of thing is better than folks waiting 30 ish minutes for entrees and coffee refills. For the food, steak and eggs, and the chicken fried steak. Steak was ordered medium with over easy eggs, it was medium-rare but still tasty and tender. Chicken fried steak had good seasoning and was quite juicy, another well executed item. The biscuits were a little on the dry side, wish they gave butter with the biscuits (would've asked but didn't want to bother if they were running behind) Potatoes were PHENOMENAL, crispy and seasoned on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Ok...the drink, Brunch Old Fashioned, I think it would benefit from a little more OJ, but very bourbon forward. Overall, would go again, try other things.

Well about a 15 min wait with no reservation. Server is Dugan. He's friendly, patient, and very polite. :- ) I ordered the steak and eggs with house fried potatoes and biscuit (from scratch). Hubby got the pork fried steak w/chorizo gravy, (yummy) house fries and biscuit. Little bit loud but music is a good choice! Orders are slowly coming out but I've been here 45 to 60 minutes and I had Dugan go look for my order :-/ Well got my food, and it's worth waiting. (However, I asked for steak to be medium, and it was well done, which made it tough. That's my only complaint.)

This was my second time eating there, So I took my son there today for his 21st Birthday. He got the county fried steak breakfast and I got the fried chicken sandwich, which I ordered because it was featured on the YouTube video. My son said his food was great, and that chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had. Normally in any other restaurant I would just go past a Chicken sandwich, however this one is outstanding, amazing! If you've never been there and tried this chicken sandwich, you have to try it, that's all I can say. Our waiter was Berto, he's great! So would I recommend Winnie and Ethel, absolutely by my estimation everything on the menu is excellent. Go try them the first chance you get.

    Country fried steak and eggs

This place has been on my list since the opened. I grew up eating southern country food. It's just on the other side of town. We had occasion to be out that way and jumped at the chance to grab breakfast. I really like the atmosphere and appreciate a diner counter vibe. We had reservations and it was basically opening time so we were seated right away, but it took a while for someone to take our order. We ordered food and drinks all at once including bloody marys. The food did come out in a reasonable time but the bloody marys came out after the food. The coffee and water didn't get a refill until the end of the meal. So service wasn't great but adequate. The food is where the disappointment came in. I am a sucker for country fried steak but the choice is pork or chicken. I went with the chicken. They are known for their scratch biscuits and gravy but neither had any flavor. I would have to assume the gravy was made and sausage crumbled in cause there was no flavor. I was surprised that butter wasn't served with the biscuits and there was no way to ask for some. She got the standard breakfast with ham, bacon, sausage and eggs. The potatoes were crunchy and sausage just wasn't pleasant. Overall the food had very little flavor.

We wanted to try something new on a whim and decided to try this restaurant. We went on a Friday morning, and we proceed immediately. It took a while for our server to come and take our drink order, which was a little bit annoying because the restaurant wasn't packed. We realized our server had been talking at a table from the time that we walked in until she walked up to our table, which was about 10 minutes later. I'm an extremely timely person so little things like that absolutely irritate me. I told my husband if we have to wait another couple of minutes we were gonna go ahead and leave. Our server did come to our table a couple of minutes later and took our drink and breakfast order because we were ready at that point. Once our food came, everything looked great and tasted good. While we were eating, our server came over to see how things were going and at that point I ordered a bluebird lemon drop martini. We finished eating and our server came and picked up our plates and my drink still wasn't there. After a few minutes, my husband said we can cancel the drink and when our server came over, she said I think your drink is being made now. After a few more minutes of just sitting there, my last drink finally came and he ended up getting more coffee because we had been sitting there for so long. Had we not waited so long for everything we would probably return to the restaurant because overall everything was ok, not amazing but it was good.

Unassuming spot in a strip mall downtown. Very beautiful and clean! The servers were so sweet to my 9 year old! I truly can't remember what I had to eat- but what I can remember are these malted pancakes with caramelized butter and strawberries! I can't stop thinking about them! My son and I had one to share and I wish we had gotten so many more!!

Found out about this diner on TikTok. Made a reservation and was seated immediately at the reservation time. The diner is very cute reminds me of the ones back home in the Midwest. The host and our server was attentive and kind. The menu options for me were a bit limited because I don't eat pork and they didn't have the option to sub for turkey bacon or sausage. I spent $15 on my food because I had to order everything à la carte. And $14 on an alcoholic drink. The drink was cute and tasty but because of the limited options I personally don't see me coming back. But if you eat pork and enjoy big servings of food I would definitely recommend this place.

    The restaurant. So beautifully decorated.

I just love this place. The decor, the food, and the service! Today I had the the turkey, bacon, cheese, & avocado sandwich (hold the bacon) on a lightly toasted roll with a garlic mayo...omg, it melted in my mouth (it was a warm sandwich). My husband had the chicken fried chicken served with eggs, potatoes, and a super soft buttery biscuit. This is the second time we've been here and it does not disappoint. We had the pancakes the first time we visited and pancakes are their absolute specialty! Will be back many times!

    Charming restroom decor!

A great spot for breakfast and lunch. All made with good, from scratch ingredients. A lot of care into there food items for sure. We shared the Diner Breakfast plate with a handmade sausage patty and a brown sugar ham and crispy bacon and fresh eggs with a yummy butter house made biscuit (damn so cute). We also got the waffle with there blueberry compote and maple syrup butter (crack). They serve up Mothership drip coffee which I've had at the actual location (recommend). The look of the place is so darn cute and charming with a warm environment. Great ambience and great service. Truly a must try !

This was a diner that I was dying to try out. The menu put out on social media was incredible. I couldn't wait to go. We went for Father's Day and there was a server that was a singer and there was a "show" type of ambiance. It was great. The menu on the other hand did not have any of the items we were looking forward to trying.. the server said those items were no longer available. So we opted for steak and eggs, sandwiches and eggs Benedict. We also ordered a couple of different pancakes. The steak was allot smaller than we anticipated and the food was not what we expected. We loved the staff and the ambiance but the food did not meet the expectations. We will return at a different time to try again.

The epitome of what a modern day diner should feel like. Staff was the best!!!! Literally felt like friends bonding over our pets. Their breakfast cocktails were surprising delicious, I got a spiked cold brew alongside my original diner breakfast. It comes with three different meats (bacon, ham, and sausage) but I subbed ham for extra bacon. My husband really enjoyed their original gravy, and we definitely indulged in a malted pancake. 10/10 across the board! Highly recommend reservations to avoid longer wait times. They also have a Friday fried fish special. We can't wait to be back!

This was by far the greatest dining experience I have ever had in my 20+ years of life. From being seated by Adrianna to our meal ending in being serenaded by the golden voice of Terry for our anniversary. Charles the manager was so courteous and kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The star of our experience was Dugan! What a gem. If you get the privilege to have him as your waiter you're in for a treat. He balances charm, humor and the perfect level of attentiveness. The food of course is 10/10 and you can tell it is made with love! We had their cinnamon roll which had the perfect level of sweetness. The steak and eggs were cooked well and so filling. The price to food portion ratio is very reasonable. (Honestly with how good the food and service is I would pay anything really) I will be back EVERY single time I am in Vegas! Lastly, the music is fantastic, the vibes are right

The sourdough was pure perfection, soft and warm inside with crunchy and flaky crust. It also came with a salted butter and olive oil. You can order a loaf to go which I recommend if you can. You gonna be thinking about the bread all day anyway. For the rest of our food we decided to share a couple thongs so ordered a salad, two sandwiches, and a pasta. There was so much on the menu that sounded good. First to arrive was the Garlic Oil Poached Tuna Salad. It was a mix of refreshing mixed greens, tomatoes, a nicely poached eggs, and pieces of tuna. I was thinking it was going to be a seared tuna, but it was cooked. Regardless it was well seasoned and tasted good. To me, the Chittara Cacio Pepe was the entree star. It's such a simple pasta topped with pecorino and peppercorns but when it's done right, wow. The pasta was clearly freshly made and the sauce was so creamy. Yum! The sandwiches came with some mixed greens and various potato chips including purple and sweet. The Garlic Roasted Turkey Sandwich was deli style turkey served on a sesame roll, topped with a slaw and parmesan frico. The Meatball Sub was also on sesame roll, topped with pomodoro, basil ricotta, and provolone. The meatball was a little different, shaped more like a sausage but similar flavor. The tomato sauce was excellent as expected. Of the two the meatball was my favorite, but both were solid. This was a first class meal and I highly recommend coming to Esters if you want to break away from the strip and okay to pay for a nicer lunch experience. You can taste the quality and honestly worth it to just stop in for the Sourdough bread alone! The service was also top notch, very attentive and prompt. We all agreed we wanted to come back next time we are in Vegas to try their dinner.

What happened to Vegas? It used to be known as a place of luxury and stellar service. If you had…read moretold me before our trip that the staff at the tattoo parlor were going to be the most customer centric, people-oriented establishment we'd encounter, I would have laughed in your face. This should have been a 5-star review, but by getting in their own way, things quickly changed. Let's start with what they did right and how the stars started to fade. What they did right was the breakfast buffet. It was $33, that included your breakfast staples and an omelet bar. I LOVE AN OMELET BAR!!! I also need to tip my hat to a review I read that claimed the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The server didn't mention is, but OMG, it was liked nectar from heaven, and when it's 110 in the shade, I need to be as close to heaven as possible. Unfortunately, things got off to a rough start. Probably about 8 groups in line and the host was struggling to manage things. The manager came out and started asking who was older than 21. If you were, you could be seated in the bar, otherwise the wait would be 5-10 minutes. Hungry AF, we reluctantly chose the bar. Once sat, we watched staff walk by, but no one asked for a drink order or gave details on the buffet. After 5 minutes the manager walked by and we asked what the process was. He advised, someone was coming to take our drink order, them we could use the buffet. 5 minutes later, we still hadn't had anyone take our drink order despite staff walking by constantly. We went out front, requested a manager and the same guy came and I said, "you said seating would be immediate, it's been 10 minutes, we want a table, not a bar flat top and we are not interested in waiting". He knew I wasn't playing, walked us to the dining room and sat us. There were plenty of open seats, problem was, they just weren't sitting people fast enough. Here is the other thing that got under my skin. If people say they want the buffet, seat them near the buffet. Why do I want to serve myself, then walk through the dining area, lobby and back into the bar. Sorry, I think walking around with food is tacky, unless you are a paid server. We probably would have been better off at a non-buffet, because there was no way, I was eating $33 worth of food. I had a custom omelet, which was probably the best veggie omelet I've ever had, 4 strips or bacon, hashbrowns and 2 glassed of OJ. I could have probably replicated that anywhere for about $25, but I did get that juice refill and a generous scoop of hashbrowns. I thought I may have gone back for fruit, or maybe a second smaller omelet, but that single plate filled me up. I also drank about 50 oz of water, so again, my tummy was full. Now here is the thing about a buffet, you serve yourself, so you server has one job, keeping your drinks topped off. That didn't happen. I was 2/3 through my plate and despite her interacting and serving customers left, right and in front of us, she never filled our drinks, I had to call her by name as she walked by for what must have been the 4th time without acknowledging our empty glasses. Again, this could have been 5 star, what they do here is essential. I don't need prime rib, ham, roasted turkey and seafood on my breakfast buffet, I'm not eating it, so I certainly ain't paying for it. We looked at buffet options and most breakfast buffets were 3x this price, for that reason. A point came off for the poor seating episode. I understand you wanting thin out your lobby, but have the staffing to support where you seat people. Another point comes off for the lack of service. All our server had to do was keep are glasses topped and she couldn't, it wasn't even like she couldn't keep up, we watched her just standing and talking while we were dying of thirst. Not taking a point off for this, but I am making a suggestion. A lot of places don't serve fresh squeezed juice. Bacteria can grow and you can actually get E.coli. The juice was cool, but not cold, what ever the juice was in should have been iced. Not only does that make for a well chilled glass, but it prevents bacteria from growing. Buffet, better than expected. Service, and absolute joke!

We've been here 3-4 times and can't believe I've never left a review!!…read more So for starters, they have a great happy hour, trick is it's in the bar seating area only, they do have a couple high tops set in the back should you choose to imbibe. The dining area and outdoor patio give a rustic country kitchen feel which suits their fresh seasonal ingredient filled menu. We have honestly never had a bad meal here. The food tends to disappear before we get to take pictures, sorry that's lacking. I've read the service here isn't good, but we've either been lucky or just have come on good days because we haven't had any issues. The only issue that is kind of a nonissue is that it gets busy fast, of the 3-4 times we've eaten here we've probably come 10 times and there was a loooong wait so we decided to go elsewhere. If you're in the area and want something delectable for lunch or dinner, I'd say yes stop in and enjoy yourself !

My family and I have visited Honey Salt several times over the years with our son and friends. When…read morethey first opened, we genuinely enjoyed coming here. The restaurant was always busy, there were often long waits, and we understood why--it offered a very enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, our last couple of visits have been very disappointing, especially during my son's recent visit from Southern California. The food simply was not prepared to the standard we had experienced in the past, and the overall experience fell well below our expectations. After that visit, one of the managers, who is no longer with the restaurant, invited us to come back so they could make things right. We appreciated the gesture and accepted the invitation. However, when we returned, we were greeted by a gentleman who introduced himself as the General Manager. Rather than listening and showing empathy, his first response was that he needed to "go check" what had happened. That immediately gave us the impression that our concerns were being questioned instead of acknowledged. One of the issues during our previous visit involved being charged for soda water from the fountain, something that many restaurants provide without charge. Instead of resolving the matter in a customer-focused way, there was resistance. Even after being invited back to make up for our previous experience, we ended up paying the full bill without any effort to honor the goodwill that had been promised. To me, great restaurants are built on more than just food. They are built on hospitality, accountability, and creating a customer-obsessed culture where guests feel valued and respected. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I've also noticed the restaurant doesn't seem to have the same level of activity it once did. I don't know the reasons, but from my perspective, changes in management and a lack of attention to the customer experience may be contributing factors. I truly wish Honey Salt the very best because we once enjoyed dining here. However, based on our recent experiences, I can't recommend it. Others may have a different experience, and I sincerely hope they do, but for me, first impressions--and how a business responds when something goes wrong--leave a lasting impression.
