Very delicious food! This is my third time here and it never disappoints. Took my family of 4, and we were seated within 30 mins on a Sunday. Must have the cinnamon rolls every time, especially cause they sell out! Service was great, fast, and attentive. Our waiter, Andres, did a great job at refilling our drinks and asking if we were doing okay. Also, shoutout to Adriana for being a kind host. Very great place to have brunch on a Sunday!
I've been coming to Winnie & Ethel's for years, since shortly after they opened in late 2023, so this experience honestly left me hurt, embarrassed, and extremely disappointed. We arrived around 9:30 a.m. Saturday with three adults and a child. We were seated at a table where two of the chairs were extremely flimsy and felt like they could collapse underneath us. Every time we moved, the chairs shook. This wasn't about being picky -- we genuinely didn't feel safe. When the table next to us opened, we asked our server if we could move. She asked the hostess, who then came over and loudly said from about 10 feet away, "We're really busy. I can't sit you anywhere else. What's wrong, you don't feel comfortable in the chairs?" The way she handled it was humiliating. I am a bigger person, and I'm very aware of that. I should not have to feel ashamed or embarrassed for asking to sit in a chair that feels safe. My wife was literally crying because we were worried one of us could fall in front of everyone. We felt singled out and, quite honestly, body-shamed. The hostess suggested putting all four of us side-by-side on a bench, which isn't exactly a comfortable way for a family to enjoy breakfast and have a conversation. She could have simply told us we would need to wait 20-30 minutes for another table, and we would have completely understood. We spoke with the manager, who offered to remove our dessert. I wasn't looking for a free meal -- I can afford to pay for my family. I wanted our concern to be taken seriously and handled respectfully. Then the hostess came to our table and said, "I don't know why you're mad," followed by, "I swear on my daughter's life." That response was completely inappropriate and only made things worse. Our server and manager were not the issue. The problem was the hostess and the way she treated us. After years of supporting this restaurant, I never expected to leave feeling embarrassed and ashamed of my body. Management needs to seriously reconsider how customers are treated, especially when they raise a legitimate safety concern. If you're on the heavier side, please be careful if they seat you in those flimsy plastic chairs. You deserve to feel safe and respected, not humiliated for asking for a different chair or table. This wasn't about wanting a better table. It was about wanting to be treated like a human being.

The bad: the perceived indifference from the team when I asked about why the nutter butters on my pancakes were not crushed (reading that sentence this is CLEARLY a #firstworldproblem). The menu says "2 malted pancakes topped with carmelized banana, crushed Nutter Butter cookies, peanut butter drizzle, and served with W&E cane butter syrup." Got that mental picture in your mind? Good. Now look at the actual dish that was presented to me. I brought this to the attention of the wait staff during the meal and then again with the host team on my way out. I got indifference from the former and "well, it will be off the menu in a week" from the latter. I know W&E's doesn't need my business, but I wish they'd at least pretend they do.
Winnie & Ethel's was the ONLY place I went to during my trip to Vegas that was absolutely amazing and added to my list of places to revisit. The food was delicious, genuinely. The pancakes were fluffy with an amazing caramel syrup and a healthy dollop of butter. I also got the country fried steak (with chicken) and the gravy on that was... omg. Just what I needed. My family also got the steak and eggs which left me jealous because the steak was cooked perfectly. Coffee is served in super cute varieties of mugs which made this place feel super homey. Our server was also very sweet. Highly recommend.
I love the option to make a reservation online-- knowing that I will be seated shortly after arrival is very reassuring! We were seated pretty instantly after arrival even with the heavy foot traffic in & out of Winnie's. It was super busy & we already knew that it would take more than 15 minutes to be served our food but our server did an amazing job checking in on us through the whole duration. Great service, excellent food, and an amazing ambiance! There was also plenty of parking available, which was a big plus. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again in the near future!
Definitely make a reservation ahead of time if you are coming on the weekend. The place is small and it does fill up fast. The diner looks like it's out of the 1950s or 60s. It is very cute and timeless. They even have a service bar you can sit at. I started with a coffee which is sourced from a local coffee maker. It is delicious. What is unique is that they have an array of different coffee cups they randomly serve the coffee in. For my meal I had the steak and eggs. The steak was unbelievable. The eggs and potatoes were good. The biscuit was yummy. My spouse had the chicken sandwich. He would not stop raving about it. Our waitress was very nice and made great recommendations.
Everything from the ambiance, to the silverware to the cheesy eggs made an impression. The portion sizes are huge and you will leave full and satisfied. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were tender. Also the french toast is a must try, not soggy or dry. Their in house syrup was great as well! The only reasons for the missing star is the biscuit was not my favorite and coffee tasted like straight water but it wouldn't deter me from coming again! A must try when visiting Viva Las Vegas!!!
Well about a 15 min wait with no reservation. Server is Dugan. He's friendly, patient, and very polite. :- ) I ordered the steak and eggs with house fried potatoes and biscuit (from scratch). Hubby got the pork fried steak w/chorizo gravy, (yummy) house fries and biscuit. Little bit loud but music is a good choice! Orders are slowly coming out but I've been here 45 to 60 minutes and I had Dugan go look for my order :-/ Well got my food, and it's worth waiting. (However, I asked for steak to be medium, and it was well done, which made it tough. That's my only complaint.)

My guess is that they were short-handed, but being upfront about that kind of thing is better than folks waiting 30 ish minutes for entrees and coffee refills. For the food, steak and eggs, and the chicken fried steak. Steak was ordered medium with over easy eggs, it was medium-rare but still tasty and tender. Chicken fried steak had good seasoning and was quite juicy, another well executed item. The biscuits were a little on the dry side, wish they gave butter with the biscuits (would've asked but didn't want to bother if they were running behind) Potatoes were PHENOMENAL, crispy and seasoned on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Ok...the drink, Brunch Old Fashioned, I think it would benefit from a little more OJ, but very bourbon forward. Overall, would go again, try other things.
This was my second time eating there, So I took my son there today for his 21st Birthday. He got the county fried steak breakfast and I got the fried chicken sandwich, which I ordered because it was featured on the YouTube video. My son said his food was great, and that chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had. Normally in any other restaurant I would just go past a Chicken sandwich, however this one is outstanding, amazing! If you've never been there and tried this chicken sandwich, you have to try it, that's all I can say. Our waiter was Berto, he's great! So would I recommend Winnie and Ethel, absolutely by my estimation everything on the menu is excellent. Go try them the first chance you get.
This place has been on my list since the opened. I grew up eating southern country food. It's just on the other side of town. We had occasion to be out that way and jumped at the chance to grab breakfast. I really like the atmosphere and appreciate a diner counter vibe. We had reservations and it was basically opening time so we were seated right away, but it took a while for someone to take our order. We ordered food and drinks all at once including bloody marys. The food did come out in a reasonable time but the bloody marys came out after the food. The coffee and water didn't get a refill until the end of the meal. So service wasn't great but adequate. The food is where the disappointment came in. I am a sucker for country fried steak but the choice is pork or chicken. I went with the chicken. They are known for their scratch biscuits and gravy but neither had any flavor. I would have to assume the gravy was made and sausage crumbled in cause there was no flavor. I was surprised that butter wasn't served with the biscuits and there was no way to ask for some. She got the standard breakfast with ham, bacon, sausage and eggs. The potatoes were crunchy and sausage just wasn't pleasant. Overall the food had very little flavor.
We wanted to try something new on a whim and decided to try this restaurant. We went on a Friday morning, and we proceed immediately. It took a while for our server to come and take our drink order, which was a little bit annoying because the restaurant wasn't packed. We realized our server had been talking at a table from the time that we walked in until she walked up to our table, which was about 10 minutes later. I'm an extremely timely person so little things like that absolutely irritate me. I told my husband if we have to wait another couple of minutes we were gonna go ahead and leave. Our server did come to our table a couple of minutes later and took our drink and breakfast order because we were ready at that point. Once our food came, everything looked great and tasted good. While we were eating, our server came over to see how things were going and at that point I ordered a bluebird lemon drop martini. We finished eating and our server came and picked up our plates and my drink still wasn't there. After a few minutes, my husband said we can cancel the drink and when our server came over, she said I think your drink is being made now. After a few more minutes of just sitting there, my last drink finally came and he ended up getting more coffee because we had been sitting there for so long. Had we not waited so long for everything we would probably return to the restaurant because overall everything was ok, not amazing but it was good.

Unassuming spot in a strip mall downtown. Very beautiful and clean! The servers were so sweet to my 9 year old! I truly can't remember what I had to eat- but what I can remember are these malted pancakes with caramelized butter and strawberries! I can't stop thinking about them! Yes, yes AND YES!!! A must try!! Amazing vibe! Scratch kitchen! Fantastic service as soon as you open the door! We will be back! We tried the corned beef, eggs, benedict and the pot roast French dip. Both were very flavorful and nice portions. We left very full and happy Our server Kathryn was, hands down, one of the best servers we've ever had! The place is located in an old historic part of Vegas, right next to the Art District. We are definitely looking forward to going back and trying more things and with friends. The epitome of what a modern day diner should feel like. Staff was the best!!!! Literally felt like friends bonding over our pets. Their breakfast cocktails were surprising delicious, I got a spiked cold brew alongside my original diner breakfast. It comes with three different meats (bacon, ham, and sausage) but I subbed ham for extra bacon. My husband really enjoyed their original gravy, and we definitely indulged in a malted pancake. 10/10 across the board! Highly recommend reservations to avoid longer wait times. They also have a Friday fried fish special. We can't wait to be back! read more

Found out about this diner on TikTok. Made a reservation and was seated immediately at the reservation time. The diner is very cute reminds me of the ones back home in the Midwest. The host and our server was attentive and kind. The menu options for me were a bit limited because I don't eat pork and they didn't have the option to sub for turkey bacon or sausage. I spent $15 on my food because I had to order everything à la carte. And $14 on an alcoholic drink. The drink was cute and tasty but because of the limited options I personally don't see me coming back. But if you eat pork and enjoy big servings of food I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I just love this place. The decor, the food, and the service! Today I had the the turkey, bacon, cheese, & avocado sandwich (hold the bacon) on a lightly toasted roll with a garlic mayo...omg, it melted in my mouth (it was a warm sandwich). My husband had the chicken fried chicken served with eggs, potatoes, and a super soft buttery biscuit. This is the second time we've been here and it does not disappoint. A great spot for breakfast and lunch. All made with good, from scratch ingredients. A lot of care into there food items for sure. We shared the Diner Breakfast plate with a handmade sausage patty and a brown sugar ham and crispy bacon and fresh eggs with a yummy butter house made biscuit (damn so cute). We also got the waffle with there blueberry compote and maple syrup butter (crack). They serve up Mothership drip coffee which I've had at the actual location (recommend). This was a diner that I was dying to try out. The menu put out on social media was incredible. I couldn't wait to go. We went for Father's Day and there was a server that was a singer and there was a "show" type of ambiance. It was great. The menu on the other hand did not have any of the items we were looking forward to trying.. the server said those items were no longer available. So we opted for steak and eggs, sandwiches and eggs Benedict. We also ordered a couple of different pancakes. The steak was allot smaller than we anticipated and the food was not what we expected. We loved the staff and the ambiance but the food did not meet the expectations. We will return at a different time to try again. read more

Food: 5 stars Service: 4.5 stars I saw some foodie reviews and we had to try this place for their amazing breakfasts. Reservations are recommended as this place was packed with walk-in parties. The chicken fried steak and eggs comes with a choice of sausage or turkey, a nice change from the usual beef. Their biscuits are homemade, and you can order it with either their sausage gravy or chorizo gravy, or half and half. All of it was delicious! A friend ordered one of their Benedicts which looked great. They also offer a cinnamon roll that must be tried. Served warm, it's soft and gooey, so decadent! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed this place thoroughly. Even though the place is loud, we were able to hear each other. Love the homey vibe, as evidenced by the personalized photos and old-time memorabilia. Our only complaint was that they forgot some of our orders a bit, but we would come back, definitely! read more

Love this place! So cute and a great menu. We came on a Sunday morning. It was pretty packed, but we were still seated quickly. Our waiter was super nice and patient with us while we took a long time to check out the menu. Everything came out quick and delicious! I even inquired if one of the coffee options came iced - it didn't, but they made it iced for me anyway!! read more

Kathryn was our server and the most friendly and cheerful person you could ask for. She is great at explaining the menu and making sure you are well taken care of. We enjoyed the southern plate (light and fluffy biscuit and exceptional grits), Samoa French toast and we split a pancake (made with malt). Everything was delicious and scratch made. The vibe is energetic and friendly, we can't wait to comeback. read more

Stopped by Winnie and Ethel's Downtown Diner and overall had a really solid experience. The service was good and our waitress was very nice and attentive. The potatoes were a highlight for me. They were well seasoned, tasty, and had a nice little crunch to them that gave great texture. I ordered the corned beef Benedict and substituted the English muffin for a biscuit. From bottom to top: the biscuit itself had great flavor, but it was a little too hard on the top and bottom and came out lukewarm. The corned beef had really good flavor as well, but unfortunately it was cold. My poached egg was cooked perfectly soft just how I like it, but it was also cold. The hollandaise sauce was excellently executed flavor wise, but again, it came out cold. I was offered to have it remade, which I appreciated, but it did take a while to get my plate the first time and I was starving at that point, so I decided to just eat it. Overall, I still think this is a great spot. The flavors were there, the service was kind and professional, and everyone has an off moment now and then. I'd definitely give it another try. read more

First visit and it did not disappoint! I would definitely come back next time I am in Vegas. I ordered the fig and honey french toast. It is filled with fig jam, honey ricotta and topped with honey lemon butter and lemon zest and candied pepitas. I LOVE fig jam. So to see this on their menu was such an unexpected treat and it was delicious. I also ordered a side of andouille sausage which had good flavor and mild spice. Service was great. We visited on a weekday around brunch time and were seated promptly. The wait staff was courteous and friendly. The decor was so cute. I loved how the mugs didn't match and made me feel like I was eating at a family member's house. It's a casual spot good for groups of 2-6. They have a mix of tables and large booths. I want to go back and try the pancakes. read more

This was by far the greatest dining experience I have ever had in my 20+ years of life. From being seated by Adrianna to our meal ending in being serenaded by the golden voice of Terry for our anniversary. Charles the manager was so courteous and kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The star of our experience was Dugan! What a gem. If you get the privilege to have him as your waiter you're in for a treat. He balances charm, humor and the perfect level of attentiveness. The food of course is 10/10 and you can tell it is made with love! We had their cinnamon roll which had the perfect level of sweetness. The steak and eggs were cooked well and so filling. The price to food portion ratio is very reasonable. (Honestly with how good the food and service is I would pay anything really) I will be back EVERY single time I am in Vegas! We cleaned our plates the food was that delicious! I could've licked my cup clean, but I'm not an animal... tempted, but I composed myself. The service was great, too. Our server was friendly, accommodating, and kept our drinks full the entire time. They do take reservations, which I'd recommend. We went early and were seated right away, but as we ate, the place quickly filled up. The ambiance has a nostalgic, old-school charm: cozy, clean, and inviting. It felt like the kind of beloved neighborhood spot you always want to come back to. Definitely looking forward to coming back. read more

Yes! Pancakes, hot dogs & burgers with awesome fries, all served in very nice high chairs( 2 year old cutie next booth today) .
Is breakfast and lunch menu served even at dinner time?
Wheat free menu? I have wheat allergy.
Two people in our group have food allergies. The staff checked everything with the kitchen & they were able to have a nice meal.
Is lunch served at breakfast time?
Yes it is according to the menu! We have ordered it before too. Lots of yummy options!
Is breakfast served all day?
Audrey, it sure is! Please come in for breakfast, lunch or dinner, anytime you're craving any of them!
