Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like battered fish that would cross contaminate foods like gluten free french fries? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

I went with a vegan friend and he was able to eat. We let our waitress know and she told us that the chef usually had a fire dishes each night/week that are vegan.

The reason I'm giving this a three star review (and I feel bad doing so) is because I genuinely hated the drinks. Like viscerally hated. The menu really was a struggle as someone who's a gin drinker. There wasn't a lot on the menu which I'm often used to, but the drinks were either cloyingly sweet or incredibly tart and bitter. There seems to lack of balance and there were a lot of really weird flavors that really didn't seem to go together. Now I can't speak on every single drink on the menu, but I did try a couple that are either premixed or on tap and I really struggled with them. I was excited about the ginger drink, and I was given a taste of their homemade ginger beer, and it felt like it was going to burn a hole through my stomach. Which is typically not my reaction to anything gender flavored. I just think the balance of flavors are not quite right and so certain things overpowered other flavors. I ended up really not wanting anything on the menu because everything was so rum based and I really don't like rum, so they offered to make me a cocktail with some flavors that I liked. They told me they had passionfruit, which I was really excited about. It usually is a really nice combination of sweet but not too sweet and good fruity flavor. I had a passionfruit gin drink made, and it was absolutely gorgeous coming out. Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that the passionfruit that they have is on the very sour and tart side (contained by a staff member later), which has never been my experience with passionfruit in the past. One of the things that I told the waitress was that I really don't like sour. I like citrus but not something that is so overly sour that it tastes like I'm eating a warhead. And the drink that was made for me had both lemon and this really tart passionfruit to the point all I could taste was this awful sour flavor. I felt bad and drank it and was not about to ask it off the bill because they were so kind about everything. The drink ended up only being nine dollars and I genuinely wonder if they undercharged me, but I felt a lot better that that's all I paid for it. Aesthetically it was beautiful, but it tasted horrible. I tried my friends drink, which was a play on a margarita with Mezcal, and that was also incredibly bitter and sour. I'm not someone who needs disgustingly sweet drinks, hence me not liking rum, but I do need a balance of sweetness with the other flavors. My friend thought her drink was OK, but she said she wouldn't order it again. I would definitely give this location another shot if I could figure out a drink that would work, but it seems their drinks either are very sour or very sweet and I'm hoping that at some point they will be able to find a good balance between the two.

The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

There was very little drink in it. The agua fresca was a winner - the Sundown Sipper. It was refreshing and a great blend of juices. Not tart, perfect amount of sweet tropical flavor. I did really enjoy this. If you're not a drinker, you have options here.

I believe our bartender was Capano, and he did an incredible job. His recommendations were spot-on, and every drink had amazing flavor and was perfectly balanced. The combinations worked so well together, and you could tell a lot of thought went into each cocktail. The service was fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and the entire experience was worth the trip. Definitely recommend checking out Nocturno if you're down in the Arts District. I usually don't do reviews unless it's about saying something positive but in this matter I have to inform people especially my African American people. I live downtown and was consistently going to 7th and Carson every Sunday , until i came across one of the managers who decided he wouldn't or and staff members wouldn't serve me after being seated. Before having this incident I had no problems going there, I even thought me and the owner were friends until he showed his true color. After not being served for like 5 minutes the server walked over to me and said what can I get you started with and I ordered my meal with water and lemon and a orange juice. After she went back to place my order the manager walked over to me in a aggressive manner and shouted out, "I'm not serving you because you have a bottle of champagne and you can't drink that here and the reason you ordered a orange juice is to make mimosas". So the champagne bottle which he claims I can't drink at the restaurant wasn't open and it was on the floor in a Double bag and I had the bottle because I had just left the liquor store and decided I'm going to eat first before meeting up with my friend. After he talked I told him I intended on drinking this later and its not open, also its placed on the floor in a Double bag. After saying that he continued to say "sorry I can't serve you today and you have to leave now" after saying that multiple times, I politely asked him for the owner. After asking for the owner he said and shouted very aggressively "i am the owner now leave or I will call the police and have them take you to jail". After he said that "I said man i was leaving the moment I felt your negative energy and I am friends with the owner and we talk every Sunday when I come here to eat breakfast so stop lyIng". After saying that he continued to yell to the top of his lounges very aggressive "Get out of my restaurant before I call the police to come arrest you and take you to jail". As i was leaving i told him " you say your going to call the police on me for doing something non-criminal is kind of crazy man especially with everything going on with black men and the police, you act like I put my hands on you or stole something". So after saying that I was already walking out and he continued to scream in a aggressive unwelcomIng tone " leave, leave, leave, I don't care about those issues I'll call them on you". After leaving disappointed and how I was treated i came back a couple hours later to talk to the owner who had finally got to the restaurant about what had happened and how I felt and after talking with him he told me "what ever my manager says I go with and you can't come back for the day". After he said that I looked at him and said "you didn't hear one word I just said, I felt very disrespected by one of your staff members and all you can say is that I can't come back for the day, no apology or nothing". After I said that he turned his head avoiding lookIng me in the eye then walked away from me without saying a word and after he walked away, as I was leaving I walked pass him saying he was wrong and I will never come here again because you guys don't respect me or anyone who looks like me and thats not cool. This took me a minute to come out and express what had happened because after that incident I was still angry on how the manager screamed at me In a very aggressive tone threatening to call the police on me so they can pick me up and take me to jail, didn't sit right with me for a couple of weeks after and on top of that the owner is Fake and acts like he's a good person but is the true definition of why acting and being real are two different things and when you try to act good but your not shows how fake you are. read more

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting 7th & Carson for brunch, and I must say, it was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. We indulged in a delightful array of dishes, including Bottomless mimosas, Shrimp Ceviche with Blue Corn Chips, Classic Margherita Flatbread, and Avocado Toast, and we were blown away by the incredible flavors and presentation. 7th and Carson is an extraordinary addition to the Las Vegas Downtown, and a definite must-see for tourists and locals alike. I have been to 7th and Carson around 3 times already (I just can't seem to stay away!) and every time has been a unique and fun experience. They host live music 2 nights a week (Monday harbors an acoustic set by various artists; and Friday includes a live DJ on the patio.) The 7th and Carson experience brings a unique flair to the Downtown Project that hasn't been seen in a while. The servers are knowledgable about the menu, and seem very committed to the project. The restaurant is clean, with new sets of paint, fun prints on the tables, and a fresh vibe since it has been renovated. The hostess is kind, and both the owner and chef visited my table to discuss with me how my experience was. Of course, you could expect nothing less from the Irish hospitality spirit that fills the restaurant. To quote the owner, Liam Dwyer, he says, "It's a destination location, I want people to discover the minute the walk in, the atmosphere of home, and you're a new addition to the Downtown family," (Couldn't have said it better myself!) While at 7th and Carson, I tried the beet salad, which includes whipped goat cheese, beets, radishes, and bread crumbs. It was amazing! Situated conveniently on the corner of 7th and Carson, you're warmly greeted by Liam himself or another attentive staff member, setting the tone from the start. The short rib is undoubtedly a standout among Las Vegas dinner entrees, while during brunch or lunch, the short rib Philly and the watermelon salad with shrimp are personal favorites. Having frequented this restaurant since its inception, it was an easy choice to host Teach For America's School Leader Appreciation Dinner there in May 2023. The entire group relished their meals, and Liam and his team seamlessly handled the group payment in collaboration with TFA. On another occasion, when our team encountered Liam on the street, expressing our gratitude for his establishment, his generous response was, "Go inside and have a drink on me, Liam!" We were truly appreciative. Most recently, I spontaneously organized my annual New Year's Reflection Brunch for over 15 people at 7th and Carson, and they graciously accommodated us. The Place looks cute. let's talk about the food first. When we first saw the prices we were like oh no problem, the food looks good. It doesn't have a lot of food choices. My brother got a pizza and my sister and I got the salmon avocado toast. While we were waiting we got water. I was going to take a sip and the waters had fuzz. I'm guessing from drying the cups. When the food came it looked good. But in reality it was all mediocre. The salmon avocado toast was 16 bucks and it wasn't even a big size of toast it was definitely overpriced. The salmon was warm and it seemed like it was old. The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The waitress we had wasn't too bad I just feel like she could have paid more attention to what we were saying. Our total was 56 bucks and some change for two small toasts and a personal pizza. I don't mind spending money on delicious food even if the portions are large as long as the food is good but personally this place wasn't as good as it seemed and it was very overpriced. My siblings and I definitely decided that we will NOT be going back. We were peeved and disappointed what we got for the price wishing we would've gone to peppermill or black bear diner with better food and probably would've spent equal or lesser money. read more

Recently visited 7th & Carson and wow, what a gem in downtown Vegas! The eggs Benedict was a delight with those perfectly crispy potatoes - talk about a great texture! We were seated in the outdoor patio space, which had lots of shade and honestly a great ambience.my wife had the Short Rib Philly while I went with the chicken and waffles. Can't front, I enjoyed the short rib Philly more but my chicken and waffles slapped as well. We both went with the bottomless option, Bloody Mary's for her and mimosas for me. Mimosas had the perfect amount of champagne in it and the Bloody Mary spicy had its kick. Getting ready to walk out now and I have the perfect amount of buzz to go out and continue to enjoy my day. BEST FOOD IN VEGAS - and we ate in a few five star hotel restaurants during our stay! Gregg is a real master of his craft. Honestly everything we had was delicious - even the simple stuff like cheese and tomato pizza was delicious. The oxtail on toast is superb as are the ducking pots. The younger members of our party devoured the sliders and the chicken wings. Order the heirloom or peach and barrata salads for fresh clean taste to compliment your other dishes. We had 27 of us in Vegas to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and Liam, Jenn, Gregg, Oscar and the team could not have been more helpful, kind and attentive. This place is quaint and absolutely wonderful! We loved the simple décor and the tables were beautiful! The food was great, too! We wanted to try everything on the menu (which was well thought out and constructed). We had the sliders and the salmon as our main dish and added a side of the popcorn and fries! My picky 9 year old ordered the muscles and SHE LOVED THEM! We cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! The service was excellent too (and were picky when it comes to service) :):) The chef and owner were very friendly and welcoming and the hostess was genuine (she's the first impression and she made a great one!) We had a reservation for 4pm on Sunday which their website says they close at 5pm but when we arrived they said they were closing and they claimed to call me several times. I had no missed calls. They reluctantly served us but the bar was closed and they rushed our meal. It was good food but the attitude was disappointing. I went back and looked at other reviews and they have been doing this for a few years now of turning away reservations due to being closed. Very unprofessional. I would not go again. **EDIT** The owner isn't really sorry. One: They never responded to my personal email that day but publicly addressed me on a poor review.... Yesterday a group of friends and I visited, all for the very first time. Our reservation was for a Sat @ 11am. We was seated promptly. There is metered parking which is paid for courtesy of the restaurants. The food was delicious and the cocktail I ordered (Blood Orange Margarita) was great as well. The 6 of us all had a a variety of different things from the stuffed French toast, the Thai chili wings, chicken and waffles, jambalaya, carnivore omelet, shrimp salad and there was not one complaint against our group. I came here with a friend to catch up and it was amazing!!!! I made a reservation for 9am but it was unnecessary. We were the first ones there. As we sat down and ordered more people filtered in. We ordered the cinnamon roll and breakfast pizza to share and it was amazing. The cinnamon roll was soft and the cream cheese frosting had a bit of tartness and wasn't overly sweet. The pizza was good with scrambled eggs on top and sprinkled with sausage and bacon. Javier, our waiter, was super attentive and made some suggestions as well as answered our questions. The restaurant music was a bit loud in the beginning but as more people filtered in it was a bit softer. 10/10 will come here again. read more

My husband eats a lot, and was a bit disappointed in only getting 3 scallops. He did enjoy his food nonetheless, and I shared some of my dinner as I had plans for dessert. I planned on the panna cotta, but when I realized they had pistachio ice cream in the affogato, it made my decision more difficult. Regardless, I did stay with the panna cotta and a cappuccino. I enjoyed both. We'll definitely be returning some time soon. It's a great option when you're in the Arts District.
