    Double Cheeseburger
    chris k.

Stopped in for lunch and was amazed. Got the double cheeseburger and my god it didn't disappoint at all, one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. The bun is a nice potato roll that's put on the grill the grilled onions house sauce and the pickles give it a great touch great flavor. Will definitely be back again. Plenty of seating it's huge inside. Service was good food came out pretty quickly.

I was so excited to find out one of NYC's best burger joints finally arrived in Bergen country, opening their store in Hackensack. To my surprise, this was a massive store, with plenty of tables for guests to dine (86 max capacity), though most of their stores in the city are tiny and mainly for take outs. They did a fantastic job with the interior, creating a minimalistic vibe in the store, with a huge counter in the back side. Ketchup, forks and napkins were available there. The menu was tiny as they're known for. Just single/double burgers, impossible burger, fries and drinks. Single burger was $6.50 and double $9.50. We went for family lunch, so we ordered 3 single burgers, 1 fries and a soda. I used my membership account from years back, to get the reward points for the purchase. Took them about 10 minutes to prepare the order. The associate at the register was very friendly, he also brought the order to our table when it was ready. The burgers were sooooo good, as I remember from eating them in the city. They make the whole burger, including the bun, so soft and juicy, it just melts in the mouth. We all loved it so much, we actually ordered another double burger to share, since we were still craving after eating one. Fries were deep fried, so they were crunchy kind. We had a delightful family lunch. I am sure we will be back many times more here. Wishing the new store all the best!!!

Great burger joint in Hackensack. The "smash" style burger is not really my thing but the flavor is definitely good. I had a single burger with fries. I basically devoured that thing and wanted more. Their sauce really made the burger to another level. Small menu. Just burger fries and drinks. They sell glass soda. Very good The staff were nice and friendly. The place is clean and spacious. Many tables and some standing bar. Bathroom is clean. Big parking lot in front. Very convenient.

So happy we finally have a 7th St Burger in Hackensack! Before this, I had to go into the city to get one. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant is brand new, clean, spacious, and has plenty of parking. The burgers were juicy and delicious with perfectly toasted buns, the fries were great, and I loved the house sauce. The atmosphere was comfortable, the music was good, and overall it was a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

There is always a wait at lunchtime regardless if you want to dine in or take out. I have been a fan of what they do for a long time because you just don't see this type of establishments around anymore. They have certainly stood the test of time. Beef patties, smashed with a lot of grilled finely cut onions, then add pickles, American cheese, and some ketchup, on a soft pillowy Martin's potato bread is a can't miss right? This formula has not changed here for decades. Like I said, I really appreciate the deep history. However, if I'm being honest, I wish the beef quality was better and the cook would add a tad more seasoning. For me, their burger has always tasted slightly bland compared to my favorite burger joints. Yet I still come back. Prices are not what it once was either, but what is? It's still very inexpensive. What I consider a large slider rather than a full size burger is still considered good eats in my book. I certainly would stop by when in the neighborhood if the lines are reasonable.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.

Considering how I had an impulsive meal at McDonald's for $13 of similar portions not too long ago, Marty's is a better deal by miles. The chicken sandwich is nicely battered and arrived slathered in their house sauce that reminds me of In N Out's 'animal' sauce. I like the addition of the sweet pickles, too. And their Cole slaw is actually good; also made in house. The fries used to be thinner, which I miss. But I can't get over how good the salt and vinegar ones are. I will just have to accept the regression in quality. Nothing lasts forever, after all.

This may seem negligible, but if you want to eat your burger fresh off the grill having a comfortable place to do so in the store is a big plus. The burger itself with just cheese before adding addition toppings is moist and the angus beef juices give the bun just the right kick when you take a bite. Add on toppings like grilled onions, bomb sauce, lettuce pickles and you have a burger worth fighting over for the last bite. Ordering is very easy with the large menu broken into different sections including burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, wings hotdogs, sides, and willing staff who are able to answer questions about the menu choices.
