I went to ask how much a pedicure was and was told $22 and I specifically asked if that included a callus remover and the man at the register said yes. When I went and picked out the color and sat down the lady gave me a paper and their pedicures went into the $40's! I said I just wanted the $22 and I was told that it came with the callus remover and she just said no and I got the $22. She talked to herself A LOT! I looked around and was like who the hell is she talking to?!? The message with the rocks was nothing to brag about. I won't be going back. I went to this nail salon once before and was pleased with their service - I had a pedicure. I returned today and did not have a good experience. The girl that did my pedicure was very rough with the tools on my pedicure and it was not a pleasant experience. My heels were so rough when I went to bed tonight that I had to get up and use a file on them to smooth them out. When she did my manicure I had polish all over my fingers. So, I decided to talk to the manager/owner when I asked for change for a tip. All of the sudden while I was talking to him, the girl who did my nails comes up to the desk and starts hollering about "what is the problem". The manager said that I thought she was rough on my pedicure. She was saying that was the way she does a pedicure if I wasn't happy with it that I should let her know. I knew with her attitude that it would not be a good experience to tell her so I just let it be. I have no intentions to return to this salon for nail work in the future. I feel that the manager should have told her to go work on her current client and not be at the front desk hollering at a customer. read more

I have been to Pretty Nails several times and have always had a great experience. All the staff I have encountered are friendly and professional, but most importantly, this salon is clean!! They use disposable pedicure liners and open a clean set of tools for me every time. I have never had a bad manicure or pedicure here. For those of you who are gel polish lovers like I am.... I had an appointment on a Sunday with Tina to do a gel polish change as well as an eyebrow wax. The owner pulled me aside and told me that they are not allowed to do a polish change first thing in the morning because it's against their culture. I have never heard such a thing in my life. The owner is terribly rude and disrespectful he and his wife are so terrible. I will never come here again as I did speak with Tina and she advised me that she didn't know anything about the situation and she would never deny me a service. The owner gets 50% of what all the technicians in there gets. So he shouldn't have lied to me since he would have gotten money anyway Beware of this place and the owners. read more

I went here for a manicure and gel polish, My manicurist was Amy, she barely spoke english and made fun of me not knowing how the gel setting lights worked. I was not impressed as there was a hair stuck in my polish and gritty piece of nail file stuck at the tip of another. They were fast and just not pleasant. read more

I have been to this nail salon 4 times. 3 visits were walk-ins and 1 was an appointment I scheduled 1 day in advance to ensure I would get a specific nail technician. I have had many pedicure and various salons and I have finally found a nail technician that really takes pride in her work. Her name is Helen and she is amazing! I am a runner and deal with chronic ingrown toenails. She does an amazing job at getting them out completely and gently. I typically do a gel product with colored French tip and my pedicures have lasted 6 weeks! Even after a light trim of nails at home the colored tips still look great. I have had excellent service every time. The bathroom (in the back) is always clean which I do pay attention to. The salon is clean and serene. Love the massage chairs. The only reason for 4 stars is the lengthy pedicure time. Don't go in when in a time crunch. But, if you do have the time it's well worth it! read more

I have always gone in here to get a pedicure and nails done. Today was the last time I will ever give this place my business. The lady that did my pedicure was extremely rude when I only chose to get a basic pedicure. Then the lady I received to do my nails was so concerned with what each employee was doing then actually doing even a decent job on my nails. Multiple times I had to ask her to fix things and received attitude. I always tip 5-10$ when I leave there but I was so discussed and mad that I chose not to leave a tip. I went to this salon last week with a friend and her two daughters who were visiting me. We all wanted the basic pedicure. The woman flipped to the $35.00 and up page. I asked about the $25.00 pedicure and she acted offended that I would not want the $35.00 pedicure. I was paying for all four and two of them were children so didn't want the most expensive. I have had many pedicures and they always use lotion and rub your legs and feet but this gal who did mine did not do that. My friend got the same pedicure and I kept asking my gal why she didn't do the same thing as my friend and she flat out ignored me. My pedicure was a total of maybe 15 minutes. My gal also talked and laughed the whole time with her co-worker which made me feel uncomfortable. My friend paid the tip for all of us and gave each of the gals $5.00. If I had known that, I would have told her not to pay that much. I will never go back and never recommend this salon to anyone. read more

In town visiting in-laws and needed a pedi. This place is fantastic. It's large with many spa chairs so four of us sat side be side. They use disposable liners, which I hadn't seen before, but love the cleanliness of them. They off a menu to choose the type of service. I chose pedi with scrub and cucumber heel repair. The scrub was wonderful...very relaxing. The cucumber lotion not only made my feet ultra soft but their was enough in the cup for my hands, arms, and elbows. Next is the use of hot rocks for a leg and foot massage and then a hot towel. Wow! I gotta find one of these spas in Cali. read more

I was here a few weeks ago. Too bad TIffany couldnt be bothered to get off her phone. I've been here before and had a decent experience. They are close to sams' club and when I have a sitter I try to do multiple errands but I wont be back here. Tiffany was back and forth with her dang phone. I was seriously interrupting her day. The sea salt scrub lasted a couple minutes, the lotion massage was a few more minutes. I asked for a manicure, AFTER the pedicure- so i could move to the tables (I have a bad back)- well more phone calls later and tiffany did the manicure in the pedicure chair. I moved to the drying area and she asked 'you pay now?'. Well I was going to pay on the way out but i guess I can pay now- No tip for tiffany. read more

My wife's Gelmanicure started to chip and come off 15min after she left the salon, she went back, they fixed 3 nails and applied another coat even after she told them, that she wasn't ok happy with the way her nails looked and it seemed as if the others would be coming off as well. She was told not to worry and all they could do was fix the broken ones. Two days later, 4 more nails had chipped and come off, she went back again and asked for her money back, they refused and said they would just keep fixing it. The attitude of the manager was horrible, she blamed the chipping nails on my wife and the possible medication she was taking??? She's not taking anything! I have never had a pedicure or gel manicure anywhere else that compares to the ones I get from VAN at Pretty Nails! She takes a special interest in every client! Van never rushes and she makes sure that the end product is superb! The only downside to Pretty Nails is that they have a Frequent customer card in which you can earn points towards services! However, with the new owner he won't allow one to pay with a credit card and still earn points! He requires cash payments in order to earn points! When I talked to him about this I explained that he should post this for all to know! That was over a month ago and still nothing is posted! In addition the fact that he prefers cash makes me a little concerned that he is not reporting income correctly! While it does cost a business to allow the use of credit cards---I call that customer service! read more

The owner will rip you off if you don't know the prices. I went in for a gel polish change that's 20 dollers. I was told by my girl friend to go in and I told him I was trying to find a new place. I said how much for today and if I come back for gel nailes he said well today it will be 25 for gel to remove the gel then 20 every time. I said ok. Well the girl wrote on the form 20 and walked me up and he started yelling at her no I told her 25 today. She was telling him no its 20 not 25 he said no its 25 to remove polish come on your going to charge me 5 dollers to remove my polish because I'm a new customer. I'm so upset. DON'T GET TIFFANY UNLESS YOU WANT A SPEEDY EXPERIENCE Pretty Nail tale with Tiffany- My 10 year old first mani/pedi 4:35 water and feet in chair only 13 minutes and painting toes. Prepped and painted fingernails from the chair- in 20 minutes. 35 minutes in all. Told owner I was unhappy and she said that a kid mani/pedii was 35 minutes then later 35 to 45 minutes. Tiffany never let it dry between coats so when she sat her under the light she told her only 5 more minutes and I stopped her. She said only the under coats will be wet and the top will be dry. I told her Really because you never even let it dry between coats. She said not 4 coat. Base 2 color and top is 4 ... well top and base dry fast she said...Owner said" fast or slow it doesn't matter as long as the polish looks good and it looks good." I didn't tip her on purpose...not because I'm poor- I got poor service. I would expect this for a color change but not a spa pedicure/manicure. Very disappointed. You'd think the owners would realize that all the other patrons saw her take advantage of us. Get anyone but Tiffany unless you want a quick job! read more

I'm new to AZ and it's been hard finding the right nail shop, I went for the first time to this place and asked if they did shellac, they said yes, I choose a light grey color and I then asked if they had the one for my feet, because all shellac colors don't have regular colors. Anyways, they did my nail and feet with the same color, the very next day, my finger nails turned a dark purple!!!!, But I had already flown out to Ca for 2 weeks, I was not a happy camper, finally on the 3rd day I figured I could take a picture and show them when I got back to 8 pretty Nails, when I got back today, I was trying to explain to them what happened, and thank God another customer came to the front to let and show them that the same thing had happen to her also!!!! her finger nails did not turn as dark as mine did, BUT they turned!~ They said it wasn't their fault and that they would help the other lady but not me because I was gone 2 weeks!!!!! The bottom line is both of our finger nails turned colors the very next day!, regardless how long it had been grrrrrr Needless to say they would not take the responsibility for it! Great location with parking. Under different management and the service is lousy. Wanted 2:00 appt, he said 1:30 would be better. Got there on time and sat and waited. Complained. Man answering phone and greeting customers started my manicure. After numerous interruptions,I asked for a different manicurist. After awhile he sat me with someone else who finished but then removed new polish application because she wasn't happy with it. Very unsatisfied. I decided to try this place because I just moved to the West Valley. It started with my first phone call to set an appointment, the man asked me my name twice, (Brooke) and then laughed at me saying that's an odd name. What the heck? That is SO rude. Then when I went in for my appointment and they didn't even know what I was there for. The pedicure was nice until the scrub, the woman made it feel like she was trying to peel my skin off. She didn't get all of the dirt from under my toe nails either. I got a fill as well and had one nail that needed to be redone completely. That nail looks horrible and has no acrylic on it, I'll have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. She didn't file them down, or the old acrylic. She kept looking at the clock because she wanted to leave, and I could understand that her and her coworkers were talking about me and laughing. Plus, their online prices don't match their price menu, upcharging you, and being expensive. Overall, NEVER going there again. I don't recommend it. I will now be making the long trip to Petit Nails in North Phoenix with Twin who does an amazing job. A fill and FULL pedicure is only $37 and they don't have different packages for pedicures, they just take care of you! read more

I got a new full set. all the nails were shaped differently and also like four nails already had chipped acrylic due to tech filing way to thin. When I proceeded to pay I didn't leave a tip due to horrible job and then what I think was the owner came outside to ask me and my friend who also got a full set and she as well was very disappointed with her service if everything was okay. We both were unhappy with his response to our displeasure with his salon. He told my friend that there was nothing wrong with her nails and he wasn't sure why she was mad and he flat out admitted to my face that the tech did a horrible jobs now my nails and they looked bad and then proceeded to tell me if I come back tomorrow he will give me a discount. However I never went back because before I even got home that day one of my nails had already straight broke off due to acrylic being so thin so I knew then the nails weren't going to last especially in my line of work!
