I was driving across country for a funeral when my starter died and left me stranded in Moriarty, NM. I'm not mechanically minded enough to solve it myself and I called around for help. Nobody except 8 to 8 even answered their phones. I'm so glad they did! The dispatcher was an incredibly kind and calming influence. She dispatched 2 mechanics reasonably quickly to come help me at the truckstop where I had broken down, and with a little bit of tinkering, some banging, and a lot of prayers, they got my car running and I made it to my destination safely. Those two men were friendly, professional, and saved my entire trip. DO NOT trust this auto shop with your vehicle! Rebecca, the owners wife, will LIE and STEAL from you!! This is the most unethical, and unprofessional, auto shop I have ever worked with...they STOLE from me; I sued and WON! PLEASE, take your vehicle to any other shop and AVOID 8 to 8!!!! I had a 12 hour drive and was near Moriarty when my car overheated! Thankfully the nearest exit was Moriarty. I waited until the next morning to look for a shop and when I found one they told me it was by appointment only and they mentioned "8 to 8 Auto Care". Thankfully when I called 8 to 8 Auto Care they were able to fit me in their schedule to check my car out. They found the issue (a hose burst... causing my car to leak all the coolant) and informed me that they would see if there was any parts available! KEEP IN MIND. It's a small town but they still manage to track down the parts in order to get me back on the road. Best customer service and service over all read more

Took my f-250 in for repairs. They had the vehicle for over a month, and when I got the truck back, literally nothing was fixed. On top of that, I was "accidentally" triple charged to the tune of about 6k extra dollars that was a "software error". I was assured I would get paid back. It is now going on 4 months later, and I'm still waiting for my money. Unbelievable. read more

*SCAM SCAM* Please do NOT use this shop! I broke down in Albuquerque I live in Moriarty. I called 8 to 8 and Rebecca the owner was very nice during this phone call and proceeded to tell me "that the diagnostic fee would be $50 if they fix it and $150 or more if they don't". I said "ok no problem". She called the next day and told me "it would be over a $1,000 to replace my fuel pump". She then told me "she already ordered the fuel pump". I said "what I didn't agree to that price. That is a lot more then I was willing to pay" and Rebecca the owner said "then ok you dont have to pay for the pump but it's going to be $392.77 for the diagnostic fee". I then said "what? That's insane for just a diagnostic fee". Rebecca the owner then started calling me "dude" and randomly naming off a list of things they supposedly did to diagnosed my car that took over 4 hours of the day. She continued to call me "dude" and being so unprofessional, and combative I couldn't believe it. I had to go into the shop with a Moriarty police officer because I knew with the unprofessional manner that Rebecca the owner conducts herself there would be a confrontation. Thank God for the officer being there because she kept telling me to "stop running my mouth" because I was telling her "I'm done with this conversation to just ring me out". She then said "I'm not accepting your card you must bring cash". I looked at the cop and the cop looked at me and said "just comply. Her shop her way" I said "ok". I went and got the cash and the officer completed the transaction for me. The officer also told me "he responded to a call for the same exact reason before to this auto shop". Let me start this review by saying that I have never posted a review about any business but this experience was so horrible that I could not help but say something. I was quoted a ridiculous price 5200$ to do some front end repairs and brakes on an 03 Dodge truck and when I told them that I would like to pick the truck up and not do repairs they wanted to charge me 223$ for diagnostics which I thought was a little high. I then went to pick my truck up and it was parked out front unlocked at 330 on a Monday afternoon with the shop says open and all doors locked and no one insight, I waited until 545 and then went to talk to the local law enforcement parked a block away and amazingly when I did this a mechanic appeared from behind locked doors and drove my truck into the shop. I ran back and proceeded to sit in my truck and ask to pay my crazy 223$ fee and get the keys to my truck, which he could not do, they then called the cops and tried to have me arrested for trespassing. I did get my truck back 223$ later which had to be cash because they no longer would take a credit card because I'm a harassing customer in Rebecca's words. I know that Rebecca and John will have there own story but believe me it's all lies out of there mouths.... I am taking my truck to a different shop tomorrow and received a written quote of 1500$ to do the same work. This is a horrible shop and business that are nothing but crooks please take my advice and stay far far away at all costs.. Just trust me on this...if your car or truck needs anything beyond normal maintenance and minor repairs, don't let them touch your vehicle. They really have no idea what they are doing. read more

My car was overheating and I had told them that the fan was seized. They said they replaced one sensor ordered other one. Said I'd be fine to drive the car until they get the other sensor. The car overheated again which the fan was never replaced or addressed, as well never replaced the sensor that was ordered. Then when the car was towed to them they told me the connection for the radiator hose that was on the firewall was incorrect and leaking. They replaced and said the car was running rough and the cylinder 3 was misfiring. I asked for them to stop working on the car and put it back together so I can come get it. They left the engine wires disconnected ruined my starter and all the money I paid wasn't even worth it. When the issue was never fixed my I had to replace the starter and now the radiator fan which I had originally asked to be addressed. I will never go back can't trust an Unreliable shop and mechanic. Very upset they put me through the ringer not t on mention I had to walk home after dropping my car off when they had told me they would give me a ride home and pick me up. More lies read more

Horrible service, extremely unprofessional. Shop owner John does not seem to care about customers at all. My kids and I were traveling, when suddenly heard an odd noise coming from my car so we stopped at Unique hoping we could be helped. John quoted me $1700 for a repair, I could not afford that, being a single mother of 4 kids. I went down the road to Coast to Coast, & they were wonderful! They got me back on the road for $250!! . read more
