Took my vehicle to 2 other shops about a fluttering noise in my F150 as it would start up. They both said I needed to replace all of the timing chains. I called other shops. Everyone said it would cost between $2200-7000 to repair. That is quite a price range. Jay at No Worries Auto Repair advised to first just bring it in and do a full synthetic oil change and see if that might help before spending that kind of money. He also stated that the fluttering might not get worse and the vehicle could be driven for quite some time or it might require the timing chain repair quickly. All vehicles were different. "No Worries" worked-on my 4Runner some months ago. The experience well-exceeded expectations. I was in quickly, and work was completed professionally in two hours at a very reasonable cost.My repaired drivetrain has functioned perfectly, even in the road-challenged areas I sometimes work. My Toyota truck has never let me down, but when a bale of barb-wire fell from a truck on the highway and wrapped around my drive shaft, first aid was needed. I intended to do it myself, but after talking with the guys at "No Worries", I felt my truck was in good hands. I've worked with many shops in my life, it's often hard to know whether you are getting good advice; but having worked on my own vehicles for years, I would gladly take my truck here again. I believe as long as you have a mechanic and hairdresser you trust, you can be happy living anywhere. But until you get there it can be awful. I had been a neighborhood customer of this place for about seven years and it is now on the third owner. The first owner couple under Nob Hill Auto Repair was basically a local favorite. They helped me buy my new car and I opted not to do a warranty because of them and distrust of dealers. I was very upfront that I was a woman who knew nothing about cars but I wanted someone who could keep my cars going with regular maintenance so I wouldn't have issues. The new owner came in about 4-5 years ago and there was a regular turnover of mechanics and front desk people. She made the front area nice and retro but didn't appear to know much about cars and it was apparent the employees knew that. They did help me find a used car but somehow that super friendly guy who helped me and knew me and my cars was "no longer with them." Basic niceties like running me home nearby after dropping the car off went away because they didn't have enough people there. On my last visit, which was maybe a/c related and an oil change, the next new owner (who had been a mechanic there for a little bit) tried to upsell me on fluids until I told him I was a longtime customer and I didn't need that. That made me feel this guy wasn't watching my back. So when no one was answering their phone this morning at 8 am I found another place (a referral) that quoted me $250 less for the brake job they did on my similar model car last year. I hope the new guys are better and it sounds like they are. In the end I'm much happier with a longtime grungy garage with amateur and kid sports team trophies on display and mechanics who have been there for years and know their cars, and a desk person who offers to run me home nearby while my car is getting worked on. read more

I have patronized several Auto Repair shops in Albuquerque. Most of the time I left disappointed and my wallet a lot lighter. The manager, Anthony, was friendly and knowledgeable. He walked me through EVERYTHING! Gave me a good price (their prices are routinely 20%- 30% less than their competitors) plus a 24 month 24000 miles warranty!!!!...and during November they give a 10% discount. I was also able to speak with a MASTER TECHNICIAN to clarify what is being done to my car. All in all, the woman who owns this repair shop has exceeded my expectations. read more

Unethical. I took my car to have an oil change and fix a falling engine undercover. The guy calls me 4 times throughout the day telling me I have more items that need to be addressed which the total came out to be about $5k for a 15 year old Volkswagan Jetta. I said okay to 3k (after the 3rd call), but after he kept calling and increasing the price now up to $5k I sensed that this person was just trying to get money and had lost all my trust. I said stop all the work and just price me for what you've done; he says he's taken the front tires off and was about to do the brakes. I said put the tires back on and forget the brakes but go ahead and charge for the time if you need to. I'm pretty upset at this point. When I get to the shop, I'm trying to be civil but this guy starts off with "hahaha, I was fighting with this engineer all day about pricing. They sure are stingy." 1 - I wasn't even haggling 2 - what does my profession have to do with whether I want to pay. And then this guy kept nagging me about why I wanted the work stopped, I wanted to polite and breft and said if I have to shell out $5k for repairs I might as well start looking for a new car that's more reliable. He then says "Oh so are you going to get a Mercedes then? Or maybe a BMW?" Obviously I can't afford that if I can't pay for 5k on my car... So all in all, I pay $250 for an oil change, a fix-up for the hanging engine undercover, brake light replacement. A month later, the hanging engine undercover comes off and then the oil cover is hanging off. I take it to another mechanic and they tell me that the screws weren't tightened on for the oil and the cover that's why it fell the way it did. Thanks- I hope that $250 was worth it. EDIT - Also looks like my review on http://www.surecritic.com/ got removed...I didn't realize this could happen. I have the email confirmation that it was submitted and her response. The 4 stars that surecritic gives that company is inflated and incorrect. The owner keeps pretty good tabs on these reviews. If only she were that way with how the shop ran. Took my old car to these guys to fix the A/c, which they did and even did a little extra work in replacing a valve at no charge. I also asked them if they could fix a problem with my door and they did and did not charge me. The business is owned by a couple of young guys who are smart and friendly. No worries has gained my confidence back. I was called back regarding my brake light quote and invited to come back in. Being in the customer service business myself mistakes do happen and I was probably a big too harsh on No worries. I dropped my car off this morning at 745am and it was ready to pick up by 930am. The quote to fix my brake lights was fair and was fixed immediately. They also fixed one of my seat belt buckles. I plan on taking my car back in next week to get a belt replaced. A couple weeks back I took my vehicle in to the shop of No Worries Automotive Repair and had my head lamps cleaned. I have a 2001 Civic and over time the lamps became foggy and unclear. At night it was difficult to see. After the treatment the head lamps are like new. I recommend anyone do this treatment and you will be completely satisfied with the results. When I asked to schedule an appointment I was told they would fit me in if I didn't mind waiting a bit. Jay and his brother are running this shop and their professional yet friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, with a couple of coffee shops across the street its an ideal way to lounge. My experience. I wrote an email to the owner a week ago and have had no response. To: Mary Korch and Lisa Perea On August 3, 2016, I took my car to No Worries Auto Service. My check engine light was on and the car was stuttering as I drove. I saw that this place was owned by two women. I liked the idea of that because sadly a women alone is often taken advantage of when taking care of a car repair. The young man that waited on me was very nice. He got out the machine that reads codes. The code indicated one of the crankshaft sensors was the problem. He told me that it was best to replace both of them. The cost of the one that showed the problem was $70 or so. To replace the other was $180 or so because they had to remove and get behind something or other and took more time. My bill for this was $500.78. When I left the light was off but the stuttering shortly started up again. I went back the next day because the light was back on the stuttering continued. Anthony said they would check it out. I was told next that the computer was going out on it. Said that would cost $300 for the part, I could not drive it once he ordered the part. When they got the part in (about a week) they would install it and then tow it to the dealer to have it programed. At this point I had to rent a car for what turned out to be 10 days. Not a cheap proposition. Now I see on the paper work that the information about the VIN and mileage was put onto the computer when the programming was done. So the car rental was totally unnecessary. That bill was $320.54 from Enterprise . About a week later, I got the car back the bill was $1003.95. I was charged $100 towing and $250 to have the computer programed. As I was leaving, Anthony said I may still get that stuttering because my transmission was going out. The light still kept coming on and the stuttering continued as it had. I saw no point in taking it back as so far I was out $$320. for the car rental and continued with the same problem I took it in for. I saved a bit of money and took it to a transimission place. I was told it was not the transimssion. They called No Worries to see what was done. I had given them the paperwork I was given from No Worries. I was told they hooked up the code machine again and got back 3 codes. The codes were 0387 Knock sensor, 036 crank sensor out of range and 0440 evaporative emissions something or other. Having seen the vouchers from No Worries, they called to check out how the second crank sensor was replaced because the part that had to be removed obviously had not been removed. They were told that the sensor could be replaced without removing "if you know what you are doing." They removed the part and the second sensor had obviously not been replaced as the part and wires were old and very dirty. They were also told the knock sersor had been replaced and I was not charged for it. It too had obviously not been replaced. I have the parts and a picture of the the part that was supposedly removed still in tack in the car. I asked about their fees for programing the new computer. I was told they take the computer to the dealer to be programed and then install it. So having said all that, I would like to request the following: 1. $178.14 for the crankshaft sensor plus the labor. 2. $100.00 for towing my car 3. The difference in what I was charged for programming and the actual cost of the programing. If this is the amount the dealer charged to program then I'd like to have a copy of their charge. My information shows the amount is negligible. I will accept a charge one hour of labor for the time to take it to the dealer and back. 4. $320.54 for the car rental. Even asking for this money back, I assure you that I will not only not refer any of my friends to your business but will actively let people know not to trust your business. If I do not hear back from one of the owners withn a week, I will then call the Better Businss Bureau and post a review on YELP. I will also contact the State licensing office. And, I will file a claim in small claims court. If I have to go this route, I will request all charges be paid by your company. I go back to this business being owned by two women. I expected more from this place and am very disappointed. read more

I came in this morning hoping desperately for a solution to my tire problem- sadly No Worries doesn't do tires. After giving me a recommendation for a tire shop, the attendant went above and beyond by helping me put my spare tire on before I left. He talked me through how he was changing the tire and never made me feel stupid. It was a wonderful experience even though my problem was still ongoing. read more
