    Cheesecake Spring Roll.

I am sharing an updated review after my recent experience at 8000 Miles. The food, especially the Thai Basil Shrimp or Crispy Garlic Shrimp, are my favorite dishes. Basically, I love anything with shrimp here. The Lynfred plum wine is great if you like a sweeter wine. The servers are always fast and so appreciative of their customers. Don't skip dessert! The cheesecake Spring Roll is tasty and crisp, and the banana won tons are an equally sweet way to end your meal here. In the warmer months, you can sit outside on the patio, if you don't mind shouting over an occasional train passing by. 8000 Miles is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in this area.

SO GOOD! Whether it's to dine-in or carry-out, 8,000 miles never disappoints!!! My favorite is the Crispy Rice appetizer. Don't order this for the table because you will NOT want to share it!! If you're dining in, be sure to try the saké flight!!

If you visit this place, you absolutely *must* try the Crab Rangoon dip--it's out of this world! The dip is incredibly tasty, and they give you more than enough chips to enjoy every last bite. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, but I'm giving it a slightly lower rating because some of the beef in the beef lo mein was a bit fattier than I'd prefer. Overall, though, it's a delicious spot that's definitely worth checking out!

    The crab Rangoon was yummy!!

Tonight was our first time dining at 8000 miles and to say we were impressed would be an understatement! The food was great and some of the best we've had in a long time! We had amazing service from Yan Yan! She was attentive and made great suggestions! We will be back! Highly recommend the sesame chicken and pineapple cashew fried rice!

First time diners. Service was great and quick. Delicious food with reasonable prices. We ordered the House shrimp fried rice and Fireworks Salmon Roll.

    Spicy beef. All oil.

Every single meal that my husband has come home with from here has been an oil slick. The only reason he keeps coming home with leftovers is because he keeps getting taken here on work outings. I finally got a picture for reference. This was the spicy beef he said. We have also tried the fish. The Mongolian beef. The kung pao chicken. The dry chili chicken. The beef with jalapeños. And he has tried others which he hasn't brought home.

It definitely has a lively atmosphere, and I could hear Polish being spoken at many of the tables, which made the experience feel authentic. There were also plenty of non-Polish guests enjoying themselves as well. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly despite how large and busy the restaurant was. The restaurant was also very clean and well maintained. The food was fresh and satisfying. Portions were enormous, and many dishes are easily large enough to share between two people. The flavors were mild and balanced, which I appreciated since nothing was overly salty or heavy. The sauerkraut was good, although I personally would have preferred it to be a bit more sour. Overall, the food was enjoyable, the atmosphere was unique, and it's a fun place to experience Polish cuisine while enjoying a lively social setting.

It was time to try. We expected a bit of a hole in the wall and that's not what we found - we found a very nicely decorated and maintained restaurant with a lot of dark wood overtones - we were seated immediately and given an extensive menu. I ordered a Polish beer, and we ordered a Polish plate - kind of a combination sampler plate if you will - and a ground pork cutlet dinner. Now before we could say anything? Some bread showed up with a lovely but lightly flavored hummus type spread- we enjoyed it because it also came with a nice big half sized pickle. When the Polish plate came? OMG we had sauerkraut - we had sausage - we had some pierogies, and when the pork cutlet came out? It literally covered the entire plate and was resting on a bed of freshly mashed potatoes. We shared the Polish plate and we shared the extremely large pork cutlet. Now to be fair? We loved the Polish plate immensely - while the cutlet was nicely breaded, and the mashed potatoes were great? I'm not certain I could say that about the pork cutlet. There was nothing wrong with it. I think the flavor was fine, but it was not something that I would order again. It just wasn't my taste that's all. So would we come again? Yes. Yes we would!

We walked into a casual, cozy space with a smaller dining area that can feel busy during peak hours, but the atmosphere stays simple and focused on the food rather than a polished dining experience. The setup works well for a place centered around a warm bowl of noodles, where the attention stays on what is in the bowl rather than what is on the walls. The ramen is the main reason to visit, especially the signature Kitakata-style noodles. The noodles have a thicker, springy texture that gives each bowl a satisfying bite, and the broths are where the restaurant stands out. We tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, which brought a deeper, richer flavor with a noticeable kick, and the Green Chili Shio Ramen, which offered a lighter but still flavorful option with a cleaner broth profile. The balance between the noodles, broth, and toppings made the bowls feel thoughtfully put together rather than just another standard ramen option. The toppings were generous and the eggs were cooked well, adding a creamy richness that tied the bowl together. Beyond ramen, the sides are worth adding to the meal. We ordered the pan-fried gyoza, which came out with a crisp exterior and a juicy filling, making it one of the stronger starters to share. The karaage also added variety if you want something beyond noodles, with a crispy coating that held up without being greasy. The menu has enough options for different preferences, including vegetarian ramen choices that do not feel like an afterthought. Because of its popularity, waits can happen, especially during dinner hours and weekends. Joining the waitlist ahead of time is a good idea if you are planning around a specific schedule. The restaurant moves with a steady pace once seated, and the service generally matches the casual style of the space. The staff handle the flow efficiently, and even when the dining room is full, the pace of the meal stays comfortable without feeling rushed. Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai is a strong ramen destination for anyone looking for flavorful broths, well-textured noodles, and comforting Japanese dishes. The spicy ramen options and pan-fried gyoza are highlights, making it a place worth visiting when you want a satisfying bowl rather than just a quick noodle stop. The quality of the broth and the texture of the noodles make it a step above the average ramen spot, delivering a meal that feels complete and well considered.

Well- let's just say he wasn't too warm or welcoming and could barely grunt a greeting. Hmm. We were quickly seated in a very japanese-looking restaurant (a good sign). We ordered two apps - the chicken karaage and the agedashi tofu. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu pork ramen (not on their web menu, but still...). First demerit- my ramen arrived before the apps did. Seriously. Seriously? Me with a main dish and my hubby/friends bereft of food? Oh wow. I didn't touch it until the apps arrived a couple minutes later - finally their mains arrived. Yay. The apps? Well, the chicken karaage was really fried chicken breast meat (no bones; not a prob for me, but hubby - a japanese man by birth- was not impressed). The agedashi tofu was yummy and quite good. Nice! Ok- my ramen was - yes- spicy and oily, as any good ramen should be. The bad part? I could tell the bean sprouts weren't fresh as my sensitive digestive tract let me know - fast- that the sprouts were "not" fresh. Yikes. Not a good thing - hence the demerit. Ok- first- we may come again. But gosh. the workers really need to be a bit happier to be there- or - if they can't be pleasant - keep them out of the public's eye. That would be a big help- after all, this was our first visit- and it wasn't too welcoming - it would have offset the bad sprouts, you know?
