We've been looking for a new place since we haven't been happy with our local place. A friend recommended Ye's. We placed our order online and went to pickup. The food was delicious, but my only complaint was that we did order a main dish, and was expecting a side of white rice with it, tho we did not receive rice. Also, the fried rice really didn't have much veggies in it. Looked like rice and soy sauce, and in our case, shrimp. All in all, good food for the price. And we may order again. read more

Decided to check it out. Got the Mongolian beef combo for two and shrimp fried rice. The Mongolian beef was horrible. Some of the worst beef I've ever tried. No peppers and gravy tasted like pure water. Beef had no flavor and too chewy. Combo for two was terrible. Every piece of chicken was not only cold but very under seasoned. Chicken wings still had pink in the middle of meat with no flavor in breading at all. Chicken skewers and beef skewers were so dry, I couldn't even eat them. Very disappointed in this place. If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would. I ordered from them at about 6:45pm today through DoorDash. My order was shown as "confirmed" and in process. My order was supposed to arrive between 8:10 - 8:30pm. At 8:32pm, I get a call from my Dash saying Ye's canceled my order. I called Ye's and the kid on the phone says "Oh yeah, we had a surge of orders and ran out of a lot of items so we had to cancel your order." They never called me to offer a replacement or to even INFORM me of this or ANYTHING. No customer service or even an apology. I asked why no one bothered to call me when the order first came in that they didnt have the items and the guy on the phone says "Well I'm new here and I can put you on the phone with management." Again, no apology. I told him that at this point, I was just going to leave a poor review and the guy on the phone had a smile in his voice as he says "Oh, you're going to leave a bad review?" The place is not my usual Chinese food place, but from time time I go back to see if it's changed. Sesame chicken, general tso's, and crab Rangoons. The fried rice is the way I like it and the general tso is ok. The crab Rangoons are more shell then cheese, didn't see or taste crab. First time here and it seems like there more interested in the gambling section of the restaurant or carry out I should say. They have a big restaurant but they mostly have gambling machines. The logo of the place also is more into the gambling nothing reaching out for a Chinese restaurant. I would have never known it was there if I would have never used yelp and search Chinese food. I walked in with my family to find out they only have one table. We ordered bbq fried rice, egg rolls, Mongolian chicken, kung pao chicken, sesame beef, sesame chicken and some tofu dish. The price is reasonable not expensive. The quantity of food is good for the price. The taste of the egg rolls and fried rice was really good. The Mongolian chicken was not to bad but the rest of the food wasn't to good. The sesame beef and chicken had a different color than I ever had and the beef was rubbery. The tofu dish my wife said it was okay. The staff were super nice and the place is clean. I would recommend maybe for a lunch special if you forgot your lunch but I wasn't a fan. read more

Nothing in the order process indicated they would phone verify the order after it was placed and since they were directed to voice mail, they canceled. My family was really craving Chinese food and our local one is gone so we are trying to find a new home for our Chinese take out nights. This place is NOT one of them. The hot and sour soup was gelatinous and sweet. And the texture was no bueno. Orange chicken had no sesame seeds on it but in the pictures it did, the kung pow was not spicy whatsoever And the tofu did not have a good texture and was chewy. The Chinese beef and broccoli chow fun. It had no broccoli. None. And the noodles were suppose to be extra crispy and they were not. Also hardly and beef and it was greasy. Fried rice was bland just like my sisters taste in Music and the white rice was probably the best thing we had that night. This will be our last time here and I do not recommend this place to anyone who can taste. read more

The teriyaki chicken I ordered did not look like the picture (not all that surprising), it was heavily sauced. The meat eggrolls were solid. The pot stickers had a lot of onions in the pork which I did not care for, but the dough and the sauce were very good. Maybe next time I'll try the chicken dumplings (which come deep fried) if they do not have all the onions. Will also try something more of bellwether for me at a place like this, fried rice or sweet & sour chicken, and then decide if this place will remain in the rotation. read more

Not too far from my place of work on Army Trail Road sits a place called Ye's Chinese Restaurant. Noticing that they were within a close enough distance to stop and retrieve food from at lunchtime, I decided it would be worth having a co-worker stop by here and pick up lunch. From Ye's I ordered General Tao's chicken. The chicken I received came with a thick lathered on sauce. Despite being listed as spicy on their menu there was very little kick to this chicken. The sauce included with it tasted more luck the soy sauce used for duck at other restaurants than the type of sauce used for any variation of a "General's" chicken. This wasn't necessarily a bad flavor, but it didn't match as well with the chicken as you might hope. The actual pieces of chicken varied a bit in quality from ones that were too cripsy or almost no breading. My chicken did come with fried rice, and the rice was definitely better than the chicken. It was brown fried rice with a variety of other things added, including apparently pieces of white meat chicken as well. If I were ever to order from Ye's again, I'd just do the rice and skip any sort of meat entree. While this isn't the best fried rice I've ever had it salvaged the meal so to speak from being awful to at least being filling. I also sampled some pot stickers here and found them to be strange in texture and not particularly tasty. My overall opinion of Ye's is that it's a good place for fried rice, but that I wouldn't want to gamble on ordering an entree here again. In general, if it comes up again I'm likely to "just say no to Ye's" (that pun would work better without the apostrophe). I'm going to give it two stars, while it's better than either nearby Twin or Stone Dragon, I still found it to be overall below average. read more

3.5 stars. Can't speak for their Americanized Chinese food since I've had none...I like the more authentic Cantonese style food they serve. I went in the first time to get an avocado smoothie based on some good reviews about their smoothies. I was a little reluctant to try the food because it's a small take-out place with no dining area located in a quiet suburban strip mall. After watching a guy behind the counter make the smoothie with care, I knew I would return for the food. So I did and will continue to do so. The black pepper beef was awesome. The $2 wonton soup was better than the $6 wonton soup I had in some fancy sit-down Chinese Japanese fusion restaurant nearby. Pot stickers were tasty but a little greasy. The salt and pepper tofu sounded promising but turned out pretty awful. The made-to-order fried minced pork dumplings (Ham Sui Gok) were quite authentic. I was told Shu Mai and Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow) are also made to order by a former dim sum chef working in their kitchen. Most customers don't know about these dim sum items or don't think about ordering them so they don't sell much. Expect a prep time of 20-25 minutes for these so call ahead. Ricky, the owner (I think?) will go above and beyond for his customers. If they don't do some "classic" Americanized Chinese food right as a few reviews pointed out, it's probably because that's not what they cooked in their past lives, or what they would normally cook for themselves. read more

I've been coming here for some time but unfortunately am expierencing a decline in quality and service. One of the most frustrating, and inconsistent issues is their unfamiliarity with the coupons on thier printed menu, vs the discounts and offers on the online ordering system. They are willing to argue with the customer over a non-extent online coupon, or thier instence it's in the printed menu, when it is not. Or instructing one to print them out when it's not an online option. I wouldn't even know the online deal existed it they hadn't told me. Then they ask for a coupon that isn't there. Two of my last three orders were incorrect. Wrong or missing food. Or the inconsistent condiment extravaganza. Either 4 times what a person would need or missing half the items you want. The food (when correct) is generally good. But frankly, the recent attitudes are something I could do without. read more

After reading a number of good reviews, I ventured off the standard Chinese restaurant and decided to order takeout from Ye's last Saturday. Everyone else and their mother decided to order from here as well. Girl on the phone told me 15-20 minutes so I ordered, got dressed and headed over. I sat and waited....waited and waited. It was likely closer to 35 minutes when I received the meal. Not a huge deal, but certainly an annoyance. (When I arrived, they were telling people 40 minutes to pickup on the phone) The order was wonton soup, general tao's, sweet and sour chicken, beef lo mein, pork fried rice and crab rangoons to sample quite a few different things. Note: sweet and sour chicken was free with order. Look at their website. Wonton Soup was the highlight. It was flavorful and full of wontons. Definite good stuff. Crab Rangoon were more dough than stuffing. The stuffing was very muted and not great. General Tao's - too gingery for me. Beef Lo Mein - Not very flavorful Pork Fried Rice - Good offering - definite order again. Sweet and Sour Chicken - Flavor was fine, just not my personal favorite. Overall, I likely will not order from here again - maybe YMMV. The prices were lower than my normal place. read more

I don't get all the bad reviews?! I just had this place's food for the first time and thought it was all really decent for the price! We got orange chicken, general tso chicken, cashew chicken, chicken fried rice, egg rolls, and chicken lo mein...the general tso chicken was a little on the salty side but everything else was good! especially the chicken fried rice. I didn't try the lo mein or cashew chicken but everyone agreed we all liked it. The owner/manager (not sure?) was very nice and let me use a coupon then told me to keep it to use again next time (I picked up so not sure how delivery is). This place has the most flavorless nasty chicken fried rice I have ever had. It makes the fried rice at Panda Express taste good by comparison, and that's hard to do. Not the best Chinese I've ever had, but pretty good and reasonably priced. The portions are huge! I also like that they repeat your order back for accuracy. Vegetable eggrolls: yummy, strong flavor of peanut butter which I like Regular eggrolls: pass Sesame chicken: ok, but probably wouldn't order again Kung Pao chicken: not really spicy, but very good nonetheless. I got the mongolian beef lunch special with fried rice. The fried rice was alright at best. Diamond Garden used to make better back when it was open. The egg roll was fried well and had a good crunch and flavor. Unfortunately, the mongolian beef tasted awful. It looked like they emptied the contents of some campbell's chunky soup and threw some chopped green onions in it. It is by far the worst I have ever had. 2 stars for the good egg roll and mediocre fried rice. read more

It's with great sadness that I write this review. Ye's used to be my go to Chinese for over 20 years. Up to a few years ago it was great. Then they started cutting corners with the quality of the ingredients thinking no one would catch on. Unfortunately when you have a loyal following it's very easy to tell. The fry batter is different and the shrimp is very small and tripled dipped and you can't tell it's even Fried shrimp. Everything else is bland and just not how it used to be.
