Be aware - they have a default tip charge (no transparency on this at all), and still present the bill with a field asking for tips. Not sure if it's intention, when they presented the bill details, they folded the bill so you won't easily see the back end with breakdown because it's folded. Besides that, service was bad and staff was not attentive at all. For all you can eat, food options are limited but sufficient. They are generous in portion. I took a picture of the salad bar which was pretty messy and lack some basic options like oyster sauce in authentic hotpot places.

Love hotpot and an all you can one is even better. I come here once in awhile. Its my go to place for me and my sister. Its one of the places you go to for comfort food. The thing is it might be a bit weird that you go thru a mexican place to enter but i found out its one owner. So makes sense. I'm not into super spicy stuff. So i prefer the regular soup base. All the balls are good. My favorite is the shrimp paste. Theres a lot of noodles and veggie options. Come try it out. Casual place and service is good.

My number 1 hot pot spot! I have been here several times and my friends and I still keep going there! It is usually empty at noon/lunch and you basically have the place yourself. It gets busier in the late afternoon to around 7 PM. It is around $27 per person but comes with unlimited meat, veggies, and soup mix. ALL YOU CAN EAT! You have to pay for the drinks. We usually get the best of both worlds soup and it is a mixture of the original and spicy soup. I love to add their thinly sliced marbled beef, mussels, shrimps (fresh!), fish and shrimp balls, quail eggs, napa cabbage, and bokchoy! I also never forget to order the amazing cucumber salad and the delicious fried bun. We mix our sauce the way the like it and usually consist of garlic, soysauce, chili, and chives. I would surely recommend this place.

I ate hot pot in this place yesterday, this place needs to be closed forever, not only the service is bad and I started to have diarrhea today, first of all, the food is not fresh, the seasoning is not fresh, last night when I slept, I began to vomit, because the food is too dirty to digest, this is just terrible, is it OK for the restaurant to open? Not only does the stomach hurt, but the seasoning vegetables are not fresh, look like they've been there for days, and the table tops are dirty and unwashed and unsanitized!!! In all my time in America, this is the only restaurant where I was so angry that I wrote reviews and made me physically sick! They also automatically charge a 15% tip, which they don't deserve!

I don't like buffets served at the table. I like to go for walks and pick up my favorite food depending on my preferences. And I don't like that a 15% tip is included in my food bill. The food is ok, but the service is like this. I didn't like it and probably won't go back.

All-You-Can-Eat Hot Pot: $26.99 per person.

AYCE hot pot costs $26.99 per person with a hefty $30 per pound fee for leftovers. The menu states a 90-minute time limit, but was not enforced, perhaps because only a couple of other tables were occupied late weekday evening. There is an à la carte menu with a couple extra options, particularly appetizers. Below is the list of everything our party of five people ordered and finished entirely (although pushed our limits to avoid leftovers), where prices taken are from the à la carte totaling $124.83: - Thinly Sliced Marbled Fatty Beef: $9.99 x 2 = $19.98 - Thinly Sliced Pork Neck: $8.25 - Thinly Sliced Chicken Breast: $6.25 - Imitation Crab Meat: $5.25 - Fried Fish Tofu: $4.95 - Shrimp Ball: $5.45 x 2 = $10.90 - Fried Fish Ball: $5.45 - Beef Tripe: $4.95 - Napa Cabbage: $3.55 - Water Cress: $4.55 - Baby Bok Choy: $3.55 - Daikon: $3.55 x 2 = $7.10 - Seaweed Knot: $4.55 - Broccoli: $3.55 - Soft Tofu: $3.55 - King Mushroom: $4.25 - Wood Ear Mushroom: $4.55 - Udon Noodles: $3.25 x 3 = $9.75 - Fried Bun: $4.95 - Spicy Cucumber Salad: $4.95 Soup bases are $3.95 per person, and we had the Spicy Bone Marrow Broth and Spicy Vegetarian Soup Base. With that, individually the price came out to be $28.92. So the all-you-can-eat choice is not that much more cost efficient, but is good for trying a variety of dishes if sharing with others. As for the quality of the food, the ingredients were fresh and well-portioned. Meat came frozen and sliced in thicker cuts. The spicy soup bases were a mild heat and did not have much of a depth of flavor. All vegetarian items were served on their own plates except for the beef tripe that was mixed with the wood ear mushroom and soft tofu. By the entrance has a sauce buffet that lets you customize your own sauce. Service was attentive and even came to ask for any final requests before the kitchen closed. The restaurant interestingly openly shares the same space with Maria's Mexican Bar & Grill.

The restaurant is located inside Maria's Mexican Restaurant. I think the owners have the Mexican Restaurant, the Hot Pot, as well as the Chinese / Sushi restaurants. Covering all sorts of cuisines. The Hot Pot was delicious! We did the AYCE at dinner $23.99/pp but they also have ala carte options. Appetizers were not included as part of AYCE. Select the items from a list. You order in rounds. Round 1 choose broth. Go mild bone broth, spicy bone broth, or half and half (best of both worlds). I was happy to know the broth was beef based and not lamb because I really can't stand the gaminess flavor of lamb. Then select from a variety of meats, vegetables, seafood, tofu, fish balls, meatballs, noodles. The meat options were beef brisket, pork neck, chicken breast, fatty lamb, lamb shoulder, and lamb leg. Then walk over to the sauce station where you can create your own dipping sauces. Options were green onions, cilantro, fresh chili's, garlic in oil, soy sauce, vinegar, satay sauce and peanut sauce. The combinations of these sauces are magical. Super yummy. Service was good too. They always came back to ask if we wanted to order 2nd and 3rd rounds. The refilled drinks and made sure to check on the amount of broth and topped off when necessary. They also checked the heat to make sure pots weren't too hot. Overall, this hit the spot for me! The both was very flavorful and the meat and vegetables were fresh. The quality and service was on point. Would definitely come back here again!

To start off, YAY to finding a hot pot restaurant in the suburbs! I always went to Chinatown to get my hotpot fix but I'm so happy to have discovered this place! I went in for dinner on Sunday and it was very empty (only 1 customer). They have an AYCE option and an a la carte menu. We got the ayce with best of both worlds where you can get half and half of spicy and not spicy. The flavor of the broth was fantastic and all the ingredients were SO fresh! One thing that caught me off guard was finding a few of those small flying insects between my bokchoys i guess that's a sign that the veggie is fresh but no thank you. We did tell the server and he changed it for us right away. Also the portion isn't always exact so do pace yourself when you order for each round and check to see if all the ingredients came out! There is a cart of sauce station where you can make your own dipping sauce. Sanitation is a bit questionable but not enough to hold me back from going back . Overall, I'm so happy with the taste and the quality of the food, I can't wait to go back!

This restaurant doesn't qualify to receive any star rating this restaurant is a horrible place to dine I do not recommend dining in this restaurant there are cockroaches, mice all over the kitchen area as I was using the bathroom. I will be reporting this to the department of public health this place needs to be shut down completely. I wouldn't be surprised if there soup was infected by these Rodents. Server Austin was a very rude waitress And has no manners. I was dining in and ordered their all you can eat and as soon as It hit 9pm Austin had asked my family with small kids "you need to leave" what type of restaurant operation does this place run. After we had paid for our meals (bill was $200+) total of 6. Prior to us arriving which was 8:15pm this restaurant should of told us that their door closes at 9pm so that way we could of looked else where to spend our money. After coming home my stomach started feeling sick to the point I had stomach flu. Again after seeing Cockroaches, fruit flies, and mice I wouldn't be surprise what they put in their food. With covid still going on this place doesn't Sanitize and Obviously this place is Filthy as ever. 110% I do not recommend this hot pot delights at all to anybody STAY AWAY if you do NOT want to stomach flu the next day!!! Austin - you're a horrible, RUDE and disrespectful human being. You should be shame that of yourself especially kicking out small kids while they still had food in their mouth. What restaurant does that!? Again, I will be reporting this to the Department of Public Health ....this place needs to be shut down.

I feel like we fell into the same trap as a few other yelpers. We saw great reviews and some decent food pics so we gave it a shot. We were overall just disappointed. The broths were not very flavorful at all. Felt like they mixed the broth with too much water or something. The sides we ordered came very nicely presented but it was clear that the quality was lacking. There were a couple of okay tasting things but for everything else I was done after one bite. Would not recommend or come back unless the food tremendously improved.

I've seen a lot of generally good reviews for this place and was excited for a long time to try this place. I got the mixed broth. I placed a slice of beef in both the regular broth and the spicy broth to test the flavors of each. The regular broth was pretty bland and the spicy broth was heavy with the flavor of chili oil. They offer a nice sauce bar which I used to bring the flavor up on the broth. This isn't the reason for the lower review. One of the pieces I ordered was dumplings. After cooking, I tried a bite and was surprised by the flavor (in a good way). I didn't expect shrimp in the dumpling. But immediately upon looking down, I lost my appetite with the dumplings. The shrimp were not deveined. $8 dumplings were left uneaten at the table. The serve wasn't bad. Reading other reviews, I was aware they automatically add 18% gratuity that they list as a service charge on the receipt. They mention it on the menu in the bottom left corner. This place is ok. I'm not saying don't go but if you do, read other reviews.

Yes, this place is right next to a Mexican restaurant. In fact they don't even have a door that separates the two restaurants which was kinda weird. Some guy sipping a margarita was staring at my friend and her husband which was a little unsettling... But the food here was good. Like really good. If you're a hot pot fanatic, this is one that you definitely have to visit. The service was great as was the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Get the AYCE and then an order of the fatty beef, lamb, fish paste and udon noodles! Then finish off your meal with an order of the sweet bread. They look like tiny buns that are fried and covered with a sweet glaze like a donut. Nothing beats those straight from the fryer. I still think about how horrible my hotpot experience was at Lao Sze Chuan's in Chinatown before and am thrilled that something this good is in the burbs. And did I mention the service is great here? They actually refill your water and check up on you! Imagine that!

We normally go to Ramen Misoya or Chicago Ramen, both great options with vegan and "halal" options…read more I saw this on some Chicago Halal Foodies reel and decided want in. I got take out and everything was well packaged and remained hot after it got to it's final destination about 1h away. My partner is vegan and enjoyed the vegan option. It wasn't anything fancy however most places slap vegan after taking things out and you pay the same price. This place more or less built the ramen with vegans in mind and so the ebb and flow of the ingredients worked out to be a delicious ramen dish. I had the spicy halal ramen, it was also delicious. We also got two halal chicken ramens which, you guessed it, was delicious. The broth wasn't as thick as ramen misoya or as light as chicago ramen. It was in between but actually really good and not as salty. We also got the spring rolls, sesame balls, and agedashu tofu which tasted well. The spring rolls and tofu weren't as crispy but it was a long trip so not on them. I could've sped, but I was getting great mileage. They still tasted great. Now this place also has Chinese dishes which makes it a great option when in the mood for various Asian cuisine and going to one shop. I forget the name of another joint in Chicago on the west side that does the same but it has all the things and it's great but that's an even further. Regardless everything we had was enjoyable and the halal chicken tasted significantly better than Ramen Misoya. It was seasoned very well. At Ramen Misoya, it's not "zabiha" but it's considered halal. I'll try to explain it as best and fast as I can. In Islam halal/haram means permissible/impermissible. Halal in terms of food mainly applies to fauna (i.e. animals, fish, insects, etc). For example corn, pineapple, bread, strawberries are exempt and are thus always halal. Zabiha is the term which means the animal was sacrificed, while being thankful for it, and a process was followed to ensure minimal pain and suffering and it was cleaned, prepped, etc properly. Basically to be thankful for what you have since you're benefiting from something living / cognizant and not just being flippant because it's livestock. Now for some animals in order for them to be edible, it has to be permissible (i.e. halal), as such it has to be Zabiha. However there are schools of thought where so long as the food you are about to receive and or consume isn't haram (i.e. pork) and it was given with pure intention, you can say "Bismillah" and enjoy your dish. Zabiha and halal are often conflated but I hope this explains why.

They have quite an extensive menu offering both Korean & Chinese entrees. It was tough deciding what to choose but we ended up ordered the Jjampong + Jjajangmyeon combo, Pork & Stir-Fried Squid, Galbitang, and Soy Garlic Fried Chicken (Bone-in). Out of everything, the Jjajangmyeon was the clear standout. The flavor was so good that I'd honestly come back just for that alone. Absolute comfort food. The Jjampong didn't quite hit for me -- it wasn't bad, but it felt a little bland and lacked the umami I usually look for. I've had better elsewhere, so I'd probably skip that next time. Similarly the Pork & Squid stir fry just didn't pack the right punch for me so I would pass too. Other highlights were definitely the Soy Garlic Fried Chicken and Galbitang. The chicken was packed with flavor, perfectly crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside -- a must-order. The Galbitang was comforting and hearty, with about four bones in the soup, super tender meat, and a clean, soothing broth. The space itself is small with only four tables, and we lucked out getting one. It has such a cozy, homey feel -- like you're sitting in her kitchen while she cooks you a homemade Korean meal. Service was excellent too; they checked in often and kept our drinks refilled. Overall, a great start to my 2026 food reviews. I'll definitely be back -- especially for that Jjajangmyeon and Soy Garlic Fried Chicken. I can't wait to try more of their dishes.

I had the spicy beef pho, and my son and the birthday girl had the non-spicy beef and chicken pho respectively. The five stars are because my wife thought it was very good! TBH - So did I and my son, but she is the pho aficionado. Go to Pho Xich Lo for some Pho! Peace!

So far I tried Mr A's across the street for breakfast and it's a hit or miss it's good on certain dishes like the pancakes but not the French toast. This is my first time trying this Vietnamese place across the street and it seems pretty clean I did try to come here but you have to come here Wednesday through Sunday and I came on a Monday or Tuesday and they were closed. Right now this is my opportunity trying them and so far it's been a quaint and ambience on the declar if they're playing soft jazz music. So far service was pretty quick. Instead of the typical traditional Vietnamese summer or spring rolls I went for the Chinese side which they had shrimp shumai which is more dim sum I just ordered one it was okay. I ordered the pho with the beef tendon and it was a meh ok. I think it could have been a little more flavorful with their pho broth but it wasn't bland either. Needs more cinnamon. What's also unique was the fact that they kept their soup spoons and their regular spoons and chopsticks in this wooden box and then another peculiarity was you had to get the condiments of basil chili pepper bean sprouts and lime up in a tray versus for them to bring it to you. The line in the basil didn't seem that fresh which is why I was a little disappointed other than that it was okay. I don't know if I would come here more often but there are other places I tried that are Vietnamese in which the pho had more flavor and was better. I probably would come here for their dim sum

The Din Tai Fung of Illinois is finally here!…read more My family and I have been chasing the high of Din Tai Fung's soup dumplings for years, but there has always seemed to be an absence of restaurants like this in the Midwest. Thankfully, Phat Phat stepped in to fill that gap. We drove 30 miles for a late lunch around 2:30 p.m. to hopefully beat the crowds. There's a huge parking lot in the back, the building itself is incredibly unique, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. It feels modern while still being warm and inviting. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered two baskets of the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, the Enoki Mushroom appetizer, Chicken Fried Rice, Phat Phat Chicken, Nasi Campur, and finished the meal with the Mango Sago. Everything was incredible. The soup dumplings definitely filled the void that Din Tai Fung left behind. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The Mango Sago was the perfect palate cleanser and a refreshing way to end the meal on a hot summer day. The standout for me was the Enoki Mushroom appetizer. That will be a must-order every time we come back. We also have Indonesian family and have visited Bali, so we were excited to try the Nasi Campur. It was spot on. The satay is another must-order in my opinion. Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as welcoming and pleasant. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we'll absolutely be back.

After trying this place, I really wish we had this in CA (or maybe we do and I had no idea this whole time). I LOOOOOOVE noodles so this place was literally made for me lol. Although when we visited, I was already semi-full from an earlier meal so I ended up just getting their gyoza which was honestly perfect. Super delicious and would definitely get again with some noodles! Service was quick and easy. They have the menu on the left side along the wall before you walk up to the register to order. The interior seating felt a little outdated but I assume most people order take out anyway. Huge parking lot, it was basically empty when we came by! My bf got some kind of teriyaki chicken noodle thing and his sister got some Mac n cheese. The portions are a good size and can honestly be made for two meals for someone like me. Would definitely come back! IG: @ammysalamii
