The sesame chicken was more boiled chicken and vegetables in a thin sauce resembling a plain cornstarch slurry. And the teriyaki chicken? More boiled chicken and vegetables, this time swimming in brown gravy. Not a hint of teriyaki flavor could be located. We checked. Thoroughly. For a moment, we genuinely thought we'd been handed someone else's order. Then we called the restaurant, only to be told--in an impressively rude manner--that yes, this was in fact our food, and no, they would not be correcting the order. We were left with $30 worth of tasteless boiled chicken, crunchy rice, and the lingering question: What exactly happened here? Unless your dream Chinese takeout experience is paying restaurant prices for chicken that tastes like it was boiled during a power outage, I would steer clear. There are surely better uses for $30. Possibly even throwing it directly into Lake Michigan.

Pricing is maybe a dollar or so above others at times but worth it for better quality. I have only tasted about 10 things so far and all have been great. I'd say the least appetizing would be the plain white rice that comes with some dishes. It always seen pretty dull and not fluffy but then again that is pretty much any Chinese place. It's always gets hard and when you reheat the next day it's not worth it. I use my own Jasmin rice instead. But other than that everything gets a thumbs up from me.
