Grease soak overcooked Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ordered food. Sweet and Sour chicken was in eatable. Was soaked with grease and dried out from over cooking. Called and all I got was "sorry". Never get from there again

    The inedible crab rangoon
    Amanda M.

Worst crab Rangoon I have EVER had. It appears they must stuff with cat food, it didn't even smell fresh. Seriously gross. The freid rice was nothing more than a few small pieces of chicken with some rice. Total fail!

    String bean beef

Sooo Disappointed!!! Lesson learned! Saytay chicken is not on a stick here. If you google saytay chicken it looks nothing like what we received. Secondly we ordered string bean beef and it was more onion beef. The BBQ ribs and fried rice were delicious but the other items had to go back. See pix

I couldn't post any pictures of the inside because the doors were locked.

Food is extremely disappointing. The dumplings look like they've been left out for hours.

Terrible food, just ordered orange chicken and it had absolutely no flavor. I trashed it and just ordered pizza. Waste of money.

The Mango Chicken May Have Once Met a Mango…read more We ordered mango chicken, sesame chicken, and teriyaki chicken, and somehow received three slightly different interpretations of the same dish: bland boiled chicken and vegetables in progressively different brownish liquids. The mango chicken was boiled chicken and veggies tossed in a sauce that may, at some point in its life, have been in the same room as a mango. The sesame chicken was more boiled chicken and vegetables in a thin sauce resembling a plain cornstarch slurry. And the teriyaki chicken? More boiled chicken and vegetables, this time swimming in brown gravy. Not a hint of teriyaki flavor could be located. We checked. Thoroughly. For a moment, we genuinely thought we'd been handed someone else's order. Then we called the restaurant, only to be told--in an impressively rude manner--that yes, this was in fact our food, and no, they would not be correcting the order. We were left with $30 worth of tasteless boiled chicken, crunchy rice, and the lingering question: What exactly happened here? Unless your dream Chinese takeout experience is paying restaurant prices for chicken that tastes like it was boiled during a power outage, I would steer clear. There are surely better uses for $30. Possibly even throwing it directly into Lake Michigan.

Ordered the Hunan Beef with extra beef, Chicken with garlic sauce and pot stickers…read more Yes the pot stickers were thick and doughy, only place that has thin dough is Twin Dragons. BUT Fortune House has delivery (Twin Dragons doesn't) and Fortune House gives you a lot more for your money. Good amount of meat, a lot of crispy, crunchy (no over done) vegetables, bell pepper, water crestnut, carrots, broccoli and bean spouts in a rich creamy nice rich gravy. The garlic chicken was likewise very good. This week I've been trying out many of the Chinese restaurants around Hanover Park and for the money - so far, Fortune House gives you the biggest bang for your buck. Amazed at the difference in restaurants and in my humble opinion, Fortune House this week wins the prize for not being stingy with the meat and veggies. Fast, delicious, big portions and cost effective.

Basically it's only for carryout orders so know that before. The food is pretty average looking and tasting. Bare bones kind of place where you get it to go. It's got the fairly common items you find at most of these places in strip malls. The atmosphere inside certainly is uninspiring. Hardly any room to even wait inside. It's about $9 for an entree at lunch. I got the Homestyle Bean Curd. This is fried tofu with a spicy brown sauce. Basically this is all there is to it. This also comes with a side of rice. For sure it's not much of a location, just a counter. It's actually open daily, unlike almost every other Chinese place. This is located on Schaumburg Road at Staffire.

The fried tofu, fried rice and noodle dishes would highly recommend. They are our staple dishes. The industrial decor with open ceilings make the space appear open and spacious. However, it creates a space where the noise fills the room. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely bustling and gives a lively feel while dining. Staff were friendly. The wait staff seemed very busy managing tables. Service wasn't slow, but definitely felt their restaurant is always at capacity which is a good problem to have! But just expect to have a wait while there.

The Din Tai Fung of Illinois is finally here!…read more My family and I have been chasing the high of Din Tai Fung's soup dumplings for years, but there has always seemed to be an absence of restaurants like this in the Midwest. Thankfully, Phat Phat stepped in to fill that gap. We drove 30 miles for a late lunch around 2:30 p.m. to hopefully beat the crowds. There's a huge parking lot in the back, the building itself is incredibly unique, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. It feels modern while still being warm and inviting. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered two baskets of the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, the Enoki Mushroom appetizer, Chicken Fried Rice, Phat Phat Chicken, Nasi Campur, and finished the meal with the Mango Sago. Everything was incredible. The soup dumplings definitely filled the void that Din Tai Fung left behind. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The Mango Sago was the perfect palate cleanser and a refreshing way to end the meal on a hot summer day. The standout for me was the Enoki Mushroom appetizer. That will be a must-order every time we come back. We also have Indonesian family and have visited Bali, so we were excited to try the Nasi Campur. It was spot on. The satay is another must-order in my opinion. Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as welcoming and pleasant. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we'll absolutely be back.
