We had the typical Hawaiian traveller's dilemma: we had to check out by 11 am, and of course, we were on a red-eye night flight back home. We didn't want to rent a car the last day, so what would we do with our luggage on the last day? The condo we stayed at would not store our bags, as this was not a hotel, so Paradise Transport solved this problem easily for us. I called and was told baggage pick up would be $20 for 2 bags for the day. A fee of $15 would apply for bag drop off that evening, but if we booked them for airport transport, the fee would be waived. We needed a ride to the airport anyway, and were charged the low price of $18 each. The pickup lady for our bags was on the minute punctual, cheerful and the SUV type van she drove was a newer model and spotlessly clean inside. Our airport ride driver was early, cheerful, and we could not have asked for better service as well as a smooth, safe ride to the airport. Call these people first, for baggage storage, or airport transportation! Mahalo :-D

One of our favorite conveniences is the ABC Stores on the property. They're reasonably priced and have surprisingly good sushi and poke bowls for a quick meal. This summer visit was noticeably busier than our fall stays. The pools were definitely crowded, and the village was packed with tourists. While people say tourism is down, that certainly wasn't our experience--it felt very lively throughout our stay. Instead of driving, we used Lyft to visit the Waikīkī International Market Place, which ended up being much cheaper than paying for parking and was well worth it. During this trip, we stayed in the Kalia Tower and loved our room's view overlooking the ocean, lagoon, harbor, and even the marketplace below. My husband also enjoyed using the fitness center. He mentioned it was busiest in the mornings and mid-afternoons, so evenings seemed like the best time to work out. One of the highlights of our stay was our daily feathered visitor--a pigeon that stopped by to greet us every day, which became a fun little tradition. Overall, we had another wonderful stay and made more great family memories. We're already looking forward to coming back again next year!

From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. What truly stood out was her ability to make us feel valued not just as guests, but as people. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, and it was clear she takes great pride in creating a positive experience for those she helps. She anticipated needs we hadn't even expressed and handled every detail with ease and grace. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the front desk, maintenance team, and all the staff members we interacted with were all very friendly and really helpful despite the difficult circumstances. Their positive attitude made a big difference in our stay. The location is def a huge plus, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it super convenient. The pool is a bit small and tends to get crowded, but it was heated, which was nice, and we really enjoyed the SWIM bar and restaurant. The food and drinks there were surprisingly good but they have a new menu so I was disappointed I didn't get to try some of the items I saw on the Yelp reviews .
