My only negative comment is the TV's. I don't see the point in them being on in a restaurant with music and it was on some music video station with less than family friendly content. A really trendy, clean restaurant. It's tucked into more of a residential area at the corner of W 1st and Ave B. The owners are very nice. The food is really good. My husband and I shared the appetizer plate for $16 and it was more than enough for both of us. I loved the kettle fried potatoes on the skewer with a spicy sauce. The hot wings were very good. If no stars was an option- I'd do that. The food is waaaaay too greasy, the batter just falls off, is soggy and is very salty. Everything we ordered was bad and the avocado was so mushy it seemed almost fermented/overripe as it would be when it's starting to rot. That's why we haven't been back and won't go back. This place is a breathe of fresh air in a town with Chili's and and a handful of fast food joints. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. The place has a cool vibe with live music playing on a big screen tv. Reminded me of old school MTV, when they actually played music. Ok, the food. I had the carne asada fries, they were amazing. The portion was perfect for lunch. The service was good and super friendly. I encountered three different ladies who were all very service oriented. That stands out in this town. I will be back. UPDATE: I've been back several times and the issue with the fries has never been repeated. The food is always hot, delicious, and quickly served. If you need a good, quick lunch, 830 is the place. We thought about the avocado fries but....the server...super sweet and welcoming...she said the carne asada was her favorite. I trusted her opinion. Score! I ordered the wedge salad and M got the Buffalo Chicken Salad. It must have been really good because he did not offer me a bite like he usually does!! They also have burgers and other items that all look really good. I'd probably get the carne asada tacos next time. They've been open less than a year and from our conversation with staff it sounds like more ideas are in the hopper. My vote would be to add some adult beverages to go with their awesome appetizers with some outdoor heaters for some great patio sips and eats. Heard about this new restaurant and wanted to try it out! Looked over the menu on their website and wanted to try the buffalo chicken sandwich. The menu states it can come with fries or chips. I called the restaurant prior to placing my order and asked what chip options they have for their menu and the lady who answered said they only have kettle chips. So 2 coworkers and I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with chips as the side.. My coworker picks up the order and our total is $42.22...because they charged us $4 extra for the kettle chips on top of the price for the chicken sandwich. Crazy. Another thing, our chicken was burnt...not over cooked...straight up burnt. I'm all about second chances but not a good first impression. read more

The place is new so expect to wait. It took 30 minutes to get our food but worth it. We were in no rush so it was ok.
