The kids loved the music videos on the television and just a good environment. The food was meh. The kids loved their corn dogs, (they looked homemade and so good!) but the other kids didn't like the chicken tenders. Asked for ranch, and each side of ranch is .50 which is fine but I feel like tenders should come with a sauce- and the ranch sides are teeny tiny. The carne asada fries were ok- a lot of dry fries and not a lot of toppings/sauce- maybe if the Fries and toppings were layered? And this was my $8 Caesar salad- it wasn't the freshest lettuce, incredibly small (fork for size reference), came with a ton of onions on top that weren't listed on the menu, and comes with chipotle sauce. The dressing tasted good (actually went better with the chicken tenders so maybe that could be an option!) but a Caesar salad needs Caesar dressing, and more than just a tiny sprinkle of Parmesan. Was looking for some grub in Del Rio that wasn't TexMex. I found 830 Kitchen and they did not disappoint. The service was great. Staff was invested and kind. The environment felt warm with some soft Christmas music in the background. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger with a side of fries. Burger was juicy, sauce was complimentary and jalapeños tasted fresh, not soggy. It was a good hand held burger so the buns did not make it too breaded. Also really enjoyed the seasoning on the fries. I was not shorted on fries at all. In fact I was stuffed before I could finish them. All in all, I give them 5 stars. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table, but they hand you menus and invite you to sit down at a table to choose your order. I continue to introduce my friends to this cute place. It's an hour long vacation to Cancun. That's how refreshing, interesting, and modern the decor is. These people know how to make good food and so far have continued to surprise me. I ordered their grilled chicken breast wrap. The seasonings on the chicken would make Colonel Sanders jealous. It was great. And i usually don't bother eating fries which accompany my meals but they had put some kind of lemony, citrusey seasoning and enough of it that i ate every one of them. Great food! In town for a short visit for work and found this place on line. Don't let the outside scare you this place is great. It is small on the inside but it's worth it. I got the chicken salad on a crescent roll, with cucumber and tomato salad. Delicious! Friends got a gyro, it was huge! And other friend got a Cesar salad with chicken. This place is very nice inside and out and very clean, the ladies are very nice as well,however upon arrival we were told there was a 30 minute wait on the food , we waited over an hour for carne asada fries and a burger, the food was good nothing to wow about and for the price ,the servings were kind of small .Also you have to get up and ask for everything , lemons for tea , salt , drink refills and ketchup, it was not much of a relaxing atmosphere. I'd say just put the condiments on the table along with the napkin. read more
