I had to pick my son up from school right in the middle of the appointment window, and of course he called and was 15 minutes out and I was 20-25 minutes deep in a carpool line...no problem I'll see you then. Less than an hour later the culprit was found, one of the kid's socks had found it's way into the impeller. Tested a cycle and everything works great. Service call + the fix was $180, barely more than some places want just to come out and diagnose. If you're needing an appliance repaired, don't hesitate to call them!!

The tech advised me to order a heater and thermistor for my refridgerator. I did. They came out and replaced them both. A few weeks later my fridge froze over again. Another tech came back out and said it wasn't the heater or thermistor. He said it was the control board but offered no solution. I have wasted over $700 on their diagnosis and my fridge is still broken. I would recommend using a different company.

I called around to 4 different appliance repairs companies before finding Michael at The Appliance Team, and he was the only one who was able to come by on the same day without charging for an emergency visit. He showed up only a half an hour into the 2 hour window that he gave me, with a 20 minute heads-up call to make sure I was home. Super courteous and friendly, extremely professional. He was able to quickly diagnose my fridge, which had sadly reached the end of its life. But Michael was able to give helpful advice on what to look for in a replacement fridge, including brands to avoid, styles that are most energy efficient, and even local stores that he likes. He also gave me some helpful tips on how to best take care of my dishwasher and washing machine. Seriously a great experience within an overall stressful day. I will absolutely recommend this company to all my local friends and family and won't hesitate to call them again should I ever need them.

He ran a diagnostic test and he found a leaking drain pump, luckily for me had one on his truck, & within 30 minutes replaced & tested it. I was shocked at how reasonable the invoice was! Needed an igniter for my oven, they were the 1st that answered the phone, several called me back…read morelater. I had already trouble shooted that it was the igniter and had it all apart, this was Monday and appointment was Thursday. Checked local stores and the original Frigidaire igniter at Lowe's was under $30. It has very easy access with 2 wires to cut and connect with wire nuts, and 2 small screws. I could complete in under 20 minutes if not for my 3 herniated disc, so $30 and 20 minutes later would be cooking. They have some overhead but are a husband and wife with 1 tech that lives by them(nice guy). So after paying $252.33 for 20 minutes I contacted the wife who was very defensive and acting like she knows nothing about her business ? She promised the tech or her husband would call me to discuss the bill from February 10, 2022 and today is 29 days later and never a call ? ? ?

They were quick to reach out via phone and schedule a site visit to give me a (free) estimate for the work. Let me tell you, most home repair companies that I've dealt with in Charleston have been a bit of a disappointment. It's hard to get people to call you back, or get you information. Transworld was the opposite. They very quickly got a quote over to us and were very helpful and speedy when we wanted to make some changes to the original. The guys came out and did the work last week, and we're super pleased with how everything came out. Transworld will be my go-to for any electric needs, and I will be sure to recommend them to all my buds!
