Decent 85 degree bakery location! Although the plaza is a bit odd to drive into and the parking is a bit frantic, it's nice to be able to visit this location to grab a quick bite and drink. Whenever I come in, bread is freshly stocked. In the mornings, I enjoy grabbing the jalapeño cream cheese bread. If I'm visiting in the afternoons, I like their brioche. I've tried an array of bread here, but these types of bread are consistently good. On an off day, I get the milky white chocolate bread. Their flan in the little ceramic jar is decent, too. I've gotten their coffee early in the morning when there are discounts. When I want to change it up, I get their sea salt coffee the drinks here are very decent when it comes to boba, too. It was a good balance of the strong coffee taste, but also sweetness, however I didn't really taste the saltines of the sea salt topping, but overall it was a good drink. This location is smaller but a great to-go spot. The seating area has about 5 tables, and I didn't notice any outlets to plug into but it would be a good spot to get some reading done or work on your laptop if you have a full charge. The staff are all nice and are fast with getting the drink orders out. I haven't been to an 85C in a while and didn't realize there was one next to Super King. I tried the taro rolls and they reminded me of the cheese rolls from Porto's but with taro filling and they were really good. MUST-STOP BAKERY! Every time I'm venturing in the area I have to stop at this 85 Bakery. It's the BEST in SoCal and they always have a great array of treats. Love the Ube Bread, Milk Cookies and Milk Pudding Pastry. The coffee is top-notch and made with non-dairy ingredients. This place is for anyone though, my Dad isn't into plant-based drinks and he was able to enjoy standard milk and cream. The wait time was about 5 mins and we had our order ready. Cozy, clean bright and busy little spot that I visited a couple weeks ago in Claremont, I was greeted by a young man with glasses, grab some cheese rolls and ask about the strawberry and banana smoothie the young man name John(I believe was his name)gave me the information I needed and told me about the pins when I ordered 2 drinks, you get a cute little pin(I chose the one in the pic), he is the reason I am giving the spot 5 stars, why because when asking about the smoothie and the milk tea he let know that I can add stuff for and extra charge to any of the drinks and the coffee that they use for the Americana, he took the time with us and was still able to help other, his polite and positive attitude made this busy spot more enjoyable because as I was waiting for my drinks this place got busy, so have patience, and enjoy look at all the delicious looking treats and cakes and I got a marble Toro too, sorry I didn't take a pic of that, but it was really good not to sweet. I used to go to 85° bakery in West Covina. Their product was awesome. Their shower full all the time but since November 2025, the shelves are more than half empty every time I go by so I started going to the Claremont 85° and they had product but then in December 2025 they also stopped having anything on the shelves very limited half the store is always empty so I asked the employee what's happening and of course he said the manager doesn't order that much on Mondays because he didn't know the reason I said today's Friday and your shows are less than half full. Same thing happen at the one in West Covina except they told me that their sales are down so the manager doesn't want to order too much well, how can you have sales if you have no product very very disappointed. We went here to get a cake for my sister's birthday since she loves it from here. This was the closest location and it was easy to fine. There is tons of parking spaces. The inside was very clean and looked nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn't have the strawberry cake that was a bigger long thin portion so we end up going with many different slices. We got the strawberry cream, tiramisu, macchiato, and red velvet slices. They were all delicious, but my favorite would be the strawberry cream and it didn't taste too sugary. Also, we got a few pasties too. We stopped by here today OCT 31, 2025 for a cake bread and a coffee. One of the staff was rude, it's around 10AM in the morning idk maybe she's having a bad day already. I asked for a cup Of water for my son and this lady wearing black costume rolled her eyes on me over A CUP OF WATER and didn't bother telling me that the water is on the counter, Like wth is your problem as if I did not buy anything from the store! I complained to the manager who said she would make it right and give me a complimentary cake on mother's day. I live 1 hour away but my parents live nearby. My gut told me to call before I pick up the cake. Wouldn't you know it no one there knew anything about this cake and what's worst is they didn't know who I was talking about when I said the managers name. This is the worst customer service! So... I needed a box of goodies to take as a gift to someone in Upland. I was pleasantly surprised to find that 85C had a location close by, so I stopped in. I will say that I've been to a LOT of different 85C location in SoCal. That being said, I can confidently say that this one is the smallest in size. As such, I immediately knew there probably wasn't going to be a big variety of buns/pastries and I was right. All of the classic items were there, but the variety wasn't. Which, to be fair, wasn't expected due to the size of this operation. The staff was very friendly and kind, but the interior just needed some extra cleaning and care. One of the leather seats was ripped, a door was hanging off a cabinet... not a place I would want to stay for a bit to enjoy coffee and conversation with a friend. But if you need to pick up a cake or some baked goods and's are in the area, it's a good location right off the freeway to pop in & out of. read more

I'm usually in Claremont almost every weekend. That's where I pick up my Mom before heading out to San Gabriel Valley for our good eats run LOL. 85 Bakery happens to be nearby. They have pretty good pastries. I usually get their jumbo guava cheese strudel, cinnamon twist, taro swirl, red bean bread, milk pudding, mango custard bun, and coconut twist. I haven't bought their toast bread yet, but I have tried them at my friend's tea party and they were very good. They have some good drinks, too. Tiger boba latte, frozen marble taro, mango slush, pudding milk tea, peach green tea, and boba milk tea are some of my preferred drinks. The only thing I don't care much for is their cakes. If they can make them a little bit sweeter, it would be perfect. Mango creme brulee, tiramisu, strawberry chocolate mousse, and coffee creme brulee are the chosen ones if I must order cakes from here LOL. Staff are nice and pleasant. Service is usually quick unless there's a long line. Selection of pastries are normally available whenever I am here. If not, I just pick what's available. I will be back here for more pastries. I've always seen this location off the 10 Freeway and was curious as to this particular location. It is off the Indian Hill Blvd exit adjacent to the Super King supermarket. The parking lot seemed to be very chaotic. I felt like I was avoiding being hit in the parking lot from all the supermarket traffic. This particular store was actually quite small. There wasn't actually much to choose from. They offered the bare minimum pastries which was disappointing. This is a relatively small 85 but it still has everything you want from this asian bakery. Upon walking in you grab a tray to put all your pastries on. They have bulk drink options as well like their thai tea and milk tea (around $7.50) Pastry options vary from day to day but some recommendations I have if it's your first time is the milk tea bun (milk tea flavor with some chewy boba pieces inside) and the tarp marble. They also have savory options as well such as the potato croquette and the hot dog options. Fast, friendly, and phenomenal food. Ran in to grab 2 cakes and snacks for work and was out of there in 10 minutes. Which is about as long as the stash of breads I got lasted in the office. Everyone loved it and devoured the breads and cakes within minutes. read more
