I love gelato, and on our last night in Texas, our friend Lizzie invited us to this cute little place. She gave us a choice between going to have yogurt ice cream or to go have gelato, Lisa and I chose gelato. I was in heaven because I love to have gelato or ice cream whenever I can. This location was filled with different flavors and very clean and welcoming. The young lady who took care of us was super sweet. She gave us samples of a couple of flavors we weren't familiar with. I finally opted to have a scoop of pistachio and chocolate. My friends had chocolate. It was such a fun place to visit and view all the delicious deserts and flavourful gelatos. A perfect end to our wonderful time in Houston visiting our very dear friend. We would definitely make this our traditional goodbye place on our next visit to Texas. read more

We really enjoyed the ice cream at this Gelateria. At first I was disappointed they didn't have my favorite flavors (Mint Chocolate Chip and Dulce de leche). But the good part is that it forced me to try new flavors. It is a true Gelateria (Italian Ice cream) with mostly American flavors and a few Italian flavors. I ended up getting the Dark Chocolate and Reeses peanut butter cup. The place is very new and nicely decorated and very clean. Everyone in there was very friendly. My kids kept asking to try different flavors and they thankfully didn't get annoyed with us. They kept a smile on their faces the entire time. They have given place is very big and they have a seat in the back at the window that shows them making the ice cream!!! LOVE this place! We've came a few times, first for my mom's birthday because she loves tiramisu and I was looking for a place that serves authentic tiramisu. We got the 3 scoop gelato on a cone for about $7 and I think it's a STEAL! I will recommend this place time and time again. The serving is huge and can be shared with 2-3 people. It's quite a bit. The gelato is super smooth and so good. I always think about this place. The cannolis are also pretty good but for the price, I would get the gelato. It's so much more worth it. As for the tiramisu, turns out my mom doesn't really like authentic tiramisu as much as her frozen style kind, haha. I wouldn't order the tiramisu again for the price for one slice. Mmm gelato! Was craving something sweet and stumbled upon this place. Sooo many options to choose from... from cakes and cheesecakes, cannolis, to the famous gelato. We both got two different flavors, raspberry cheesecake and kinder chocolate. Both were really tasty and good. Kinda bummed that the waffle cup required getting 4 scoops of ice cream, I didn't realize that prior to ordering it and was stuck with 4 scoops of the same flavor. This place had some AMAZING unique gelato flavors! I had several samples and loved them all. I ended up going with the oreo and dark chocolate...I know not unique...but the kids and their dad had some fun flavors so we all ate off eachother. :) Very cute little shop and interesting to know that this is their only location in the U.S. GREAT service. Delicious and creamy gelato and other sweet pastries to try! There are two counters worth of gelato flavors, so you should definitely come on and try a sample or two before choosing your order! The shop is decked out in cute and Instagram worthy decor, with both indoor and outdoor seating available for guests. Workers do wear masks while serving you, but it is not required for customers to wear them (though most I saw were wearing them unless they were eating). There is plenty of space for you and your guests to spread out inside so that you can safely distance from other guests and enjoy your gelato! read more

Stopped by on a Saturday shortly after opening for some gelato - the service was fast and friendly. They have a lot of flavors which is great - I got the pistachio and tiramisu, the tiramisu was really good but I've definitely had better pistachio gelato. My husband had the tiramisu and espresso and really enjoyed both flavors, I also sampled the espresso and it was really good. If you know the area getting in and out can be a little tough due to construction around the area- but that's at no fault of the restaurant. The parking was easy and plentiful. The reason I only rated it 4 stars was the price!! $15 something for 2 small gelatos?! That's a lot- I was recently in Vegas and paid pretty much the same for 2 gelatos that were a bigger portion and were a lot better- dare I say the best gelato I've ever had. I wouldn't expect Vegas prices in a suburban gelato shop in Texas ... even with inflation. I'm really glad that this place is here and will definitely consider a re visit but I do think they need to rethink their prices to fit the product and location. read more

The Gelatist has a nice assortment of tasty gelato flavors and the service was great.Also, gelatist has tons of space to sit inside and outside along with a cute neon sign. I had a small cup with two flavors Chocolate chip and Nutella topped with a waffle cookie. Size portion are decent for kids and adults plus the prices were reasonable.
