Only thing I wish would change is the packaging. As they make each bread it is put in individual plastic baggies which create a lot of waste. Was here on Sunday 1/18/26. Despite only visiting twice, I've already left both times with a huge haul for under $40! They have an incredible selection of baked goods. My go-tos are the garlic cheese bread, Hawaiian chicken, bacon and cheese, red bean, and the taro mooncake (essentially hopia, IYKYK). It gets super busy, but the line moves fast. Prices are amazing--around $2.50 per item--and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If you don't see what you want on the floor, definitely ask; they are great at restocking. Leaving the Valley after a week long golf getaway we came over to buy some sweet and savory items for the road. This footprint is much bigger than the one I go to back in San Francisco. You'd think that they would have more items to select from. At 7am today there was only one savory item - the bacon and cheese pastry. Fortunately it's one I like. As for sweet - one of my favorites is the chocolate chip bowl. It's big. Usually I'll eat 1/2 and then the other 1/2 later on in the day. Hubby's go to is the bag of chocolate chip cookies. Beverages - I got the americano coffee. Strong enough. There's a large indoor eating area. They've been opened about six weeks. Hopefully they'll expand their bakery items. My go to coffee is always the iced salted caramel coffee! It always comes out the same and has the perfrct amount of coffee/sweetness for me. My favorite pastry is the white chocolate raspberry. Weekdays are usually slower than weekends (as expected) and can usually find a table to enjoy drinks and pastries. Definitely recommend to order your drink on the screen as soon as you get there, that way its being made while you look at the pastries, and then make line to buy them. But if you are not in a hurry or the screens are taken you can also order with cashier when paying. Everyone has been friendly so far. The only thing I can say is the times I have gone the tables have not been wiped so Ive always had to clean them myself. I also have never seen anyone on the floor cleaning, but not sure if they have a specific time they do this or not. Today I was there 1-2 hours before closing and the trash by the door was full and I never saw anyone out on the floor. But I definitely love having a bakery close to home! read more

I'm really happy we finally have an 85°C in Palm Desert. I've been to other locations before, so I already knew what I liked, and this one has been just as good every time I've gone in. The pastries are fresh, the drinks are consistent, and it's a nice change from the usual spots around here. My go to items are the Hokkaido milk buns and the milk bread. They're always soft and fluffy and honestly kind of addictive. I've tried a lot of their drinks and haven't had a bad one yet. The sea salt foam drinks are especially good, and the peach tea is another favorite. The berry cheesecake also disappears fast in my house. The staff here have all been friendly and patient, even during the opening rush. The space is bright, clean, and easy to move through, which makes the whole experience better. Sooooooooo happy an 85° popped up in the Palm Springs area! My husband and I stopped by to check out their soft opening around lunchtime and we were met by a long, slow-moving line which was partially outdoors. We didn't mind too much as we were excited for all our little treats :) The interior is fairly spacious and very clean with a fair amount of seating. The bakery didn't have all of their menu items in stock (which made sense for a soft opening), but they still had a wide variety of items to choose from, including their pork sung bun and spicy sausage, some of my favorite savory breads. We got just enough to fill us up for lunch as well as a sea salt coffee. Once we ordered and paid, it didn't take long for our coffee to be ready, and it was perfectly delicious and not too sweet! We'd definitely visit again on our next vacation to Palm Springs, as it's such a staple for any sweet or savory bites! read more

I probably won't order from the app again I ordered to Vietnamese Ice Coffees and two egg tarts and it said it would take 25 minutes for it to be ready. I got there with about 5 minutes to spare. So I waited... As I did, I watched as cutomers who came in after me get there orders. At about the 35 minute mark, I saw a barista put to coffees in the refrigerator and heard ask some one to grab the tarts for my order. I went up to the window right as he was coming with my tarts. He asked me if that was it and said no, I have two drinks to pick up. The barista told him it was ready and in the refrigerator. So, a total of 35 minutes to get my order, thinking that gong through the app was faster. I won't make that mistake again, I go straight to the counter and order. read more

We always enjoy visiting 85° bakery in various cities. This one seems a bit smaller but we're happy to have one out here finally. We had gone in the evening, so lots of things were already gone. We got egg tarts, ube bread, coconut strudel, and potato croquettes. All of them were good. The line was long but went fairly quickly. Service could be friendlier. We'll be back soon. read more

The food was really like especially the Jalapeño bread but I am LIVID because tell me why my sister has PLASTIC IN HER DRINK its like little strands but theres is to much and she almost choked on it and it is scary of how much plastic is in this damn Mango Green Tea with Popping Boba drink.! Was feeling hungry after Joshua tree and saw that there was 85 C. Veronica recommended the walnut cinnamon rolls and it was delicious! She was super nice and helpful. This location was way nicer compared to the other ones I have been to. There was a line but the wait wasn't that bad. The tables were clean and there was a lot of bread to choose from. I mostly like to leave positive reviews because every place can have a bad day but if I was upper management I'd want to know what is going on! It's really unfortunate that such a great chain has such a bad manager. The poor work ethic and negative attitude trickles down and then all the employees act like him. We have been to several locations Century City, San Diego, Irvine...all with excellent customer service! The product is consistent which is good but the service at the Palm Desert location is lacking. Sometimes the drive through is closed, but today it was open. There was one car ahead of me and none behind me. I get to the ordering part and order one tea for myself and one sausage roll for my 3 year old. The lady said we don't sell food from the window. I'm not sure that is true because we did the exact same order in the last two weeks and had no issue. When I asked she said it's dependent on how busy they are. So I parked and went in expecting to see a crowd. There was one group of four eating at a table and two ladies paying for their order (no drinks) in front of us. That's it! I asked to speak to the manager because I was looking for clarity when I saw the empty store. He was not helpful or kind. I think a sign in front of the drive through that says drinks only (if that is the policy) would be an easy fix. Also, a manager with better customer service is a must if this business is going to thrive here. I was in retail for over 20 years so I know it's not always easy to find great people but I'm sure some customer service training would greatly help the situation. He was wearing a mask so it made it harder to see his face but you could tell he had a very poor attitude! read more

Unfortunately this is the second time we've had a an issue with it taking too long to receive two coffees. Order was placed a little before 4 p.m. and didn't receive until 4:45 p.m. That is just ridiculous and when asked about the order they go to check it took 20 mins.
