This is closer to a 3.5 rating and still a good visit. I stopped in on a Saturday evening and it was not busy. Mostly quiet ambiance. There were a few bakery items remaining on the shelves, but saw a lot more empty shelves than filled shelves. The cheese garlic roll is my daughters' favorite. I was able to redeem my VIP Quarterly Drink, an iced Jasmine Green Tea. The staff was provided standard service. The bakery could have used a restock since it was only 5:30 pm. If there were more items, we would have probably purchased more. Otherwise, it was an average visit.

Glad they opened a store in simi valley. Staff are nice and helpful. I took a star off because this place doesn't have that many selections compared to the stores located in LA. I bought a mango cake and it doesn't taste the same. The mangoes are sour and the cake has so much icing that makes you sick to your stomach. I wish they sell mango cake when the mangoes are in season and are sweet. I do like their baked goods. They just need to have more selections so I don't have to go to LA.

Want more selection of fresh bread? Go earlier!. I walked in at 11 am. Most are gone. No premium milk, no ube bread ( the person in front of me grabbed the last 4) . No this and that that I like. This place always run out of bread anyway, long line, super busy with 1 cash register open. After i paid for everything, I waited for my cake, a little too long to my comfort. The dude forgotten about my cake and keep ringing other customers. Luckily, its a happy day and I'm not in the mood to get upset. Tips. If they forgot, immediately remind them, dont wait on the side like me. This is the only 1 around the ventura county. We need one in Westlake.

85° C is a staple and I can't believe I finally have access to it whenever I want. Being able to try the dirty matcha and their rotating menu is so nice to be able to get new flavors of buns, drinks, that you never get bored. Rows and rows of pastries, new drink bars, and even special celebration and promos to make the rewards program worthwhile! 85° bringing the Asian persuasion to the 805 and I'm here for it

I always love this place! They keep it so neat and the workers are so nice. The bread is soft on all the options and the coffee is AMAZING!! They always have light music playing and it's a nice enjoyable place. I wish they had seating!

I'm not sure what they do to make these pastries so light, fluffy and packed with amazing flavor but wow! There's so many choices. We tried their white chocolate strawberry cup in addition to the pastries, which is now one of our personal favorite desserts. coffee is great as well and we were so surprised by how low the prices were. The woman at the register was very pleasant, and the inside is kept clean and organized.

Absolutely loved this place. Unfortunately, I have a gluten allergy so I couldn't get any sort of baked goods there, but I DID get a caramel pudding and a latte and both were FIRE! Also, fun fact! they seal these tops of the drinks so you can SHAKE THEM before y it drink them! Lol

So exciting to see that there's an 85C nearby! The store is huge and located within a mall with very easy parking. Might have been the time of day, but the bread selection wasn't as wide as I would've expected and it didn't seem like there was a lot of fresh bread coming out. Drinks were also very solid and made quickly.

Strawberry matcha looks like milk and only taste like strawberries. 2 stars because when I ordered this last time it was amazing, vibrant green and actually had fresh strawberries in it. This time I got a strawberry Matcha boba. Granted I did ask for boba this time so I'm not surprised there's not fresh strawberry. But I didn't think that asking for boba would mean there would be virtually no matcha. Definitely not worth it this time.

So I will start off by saying that I haven't had anything that I don't like from this bakery. Although this location is a lot smaller than the one I first visited in Irvine. There were a lot of items missing from the shelves that I would've liked to try. And this is the only reason why I gave 3 stars. You're probably hungry for pastries and cookies, once in a blue moon or just nuts about them. 85 degrees bakery is all over the place and we have tried them from Westfield Century City Mall to Northridge and Simi Valley branches and they don't fail to satisfy my cravings. I dropped by 85 Degres today to snack on their Tiramisu and oh boy, it was bitter, sweet and creamy chocolatey combined in one gulp. They curate a variety of breads and cakes and also have a long lists of creamy drinks that can complement your sugary needs. Don't get me wrong, their baked goods and drinks are about the same and the store is generally clean and tidy. Staff were polite, nice and smiling as we ordered our cookies and drinks. We tried their Chifffon cakes and it reminded me of my childhood days when I feel I deserved a treat. One observation is their use of fresh fruits and vegetable to enhance their cakes and baked goods, one thing that will make you just want to snort them, in an instant. Their use of special flours and refined sugars enriches the tastes and smells of their breads and cookies. Prices is about averaged and not too expensive, parking is abundant and they're located in beautiful landscapes and malls wherever you may be.

Finally have an 85 degrees in Ventura county! We always had to drive far to visit a store. Since it's new, the store is still looking clean with a lot of selection! There's so many pastries to choose from. If you're looking for a drink I would recommend the Taro Lavender latte! So delicious! Other than that, big store and easy to get what you want. read more

Great location with a lot of fresh baked breads and pastry options and also includes a boba bar. Ordering was super fast and there was a lot of places to sit. When I visited the inside was also very clean and well stocked even though it was later in the evening. Glad we got a location in Ventura County read more

I grew up on 85 degrees - they have been my go-to bakery since I was first introduced to the original Diamond Jamboree location in Irvine. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw that they were opening up one so close to home! This 85 degrees shares a parking lot with a few other businesses. I never have any trouble with getting a spot. The interior layout is similar to most other locations. There is a section where you pick and choose pastries to take home. Each bread is individually wrapped for sanitation purposes (a change largely influenced by the COVID pandemic). You bring your tray of yummy pastries to the register where they ring you up. You also have the option of ordering from their cake (try the Strawberry Deluxe) or drink (all the sea salt drinks are solid) menu. There is also a separate kiosk for drink orders only. Service is quick and efficient. For those who are already familiar with 85 degrees, no explanation is needed. However, if you are in Simi Valley and love carbs and sugar, try this place! read more

I love that they now have an 85 degrees close enough for me to get to. They have quite a bit of tables for you to sit. These are delicious breads from Taiwan. There are many options to choose from: savory or sweet. We usually get quite a bit and will have that for a quick breakfast. read more

We are so crazy LUCKY to have one of these stores in our city! The EARLIER you get there the better chance you'll have of seeing all the different pastries, cakes, and bread filled with the best yummy goodness you will ever savor!!!! Easy to get to - next to McDonalds off Sycamore and Cochran. My #1 fave is the mangotale, milk pudding, and spicy sausage bread. If you are planning on getting a cake- order it online ahead of time. I went to the store and someone got the last mango crème brûlée cake I was planning on buying. read more

I recently went to 85 Degrees tonics up some desserts for NYE and was not disappointed. Heard about this new place opening and we really don't have a traditional bakery close by so I was excited to check this place out. So many delizioso choices, I needed a light bread for toast points for caviar and they had their own bread and it was perfect. Also picked up some other pastries for breakfast on New Years Day and they were incredible (forgot to take photos-sorry) which were light and airy with incredible tasting cremes inside just perfect with a cup of coffee. The desserts or "dulce" that I got for NYE were amazing, featuring mango, strawberry, chocolate ingredients. Also picked up their Coconut Bites and were so good and freshly made. If you are looking for some new tastes from a in house bakery making items fresh this is the place to go. They also offer a coffee bar which must be good because it had a line which moved fairly quick and had smiling faces as they were leaving and tasting their drinks. I will be back multiple times and am so ready to keep a small business open in a nearby community. Give this place a try I don't think you will be disappointed and your tummy will love you for it. Came on December 23, while everyone is doing last minute shopping. The line seemed intimidating, but they kept it moving quickly and accurately and still being pleasant. Everything is fresh and wonderful. It's such a happy atmosphere to me, people finding little pieces of joy in pastry form. read more

can confirm that 85 in Simi is just AS GOOD as the ones in the valley, LA, and OC! Service was quick for just opening and so kind. The place is clean and a little difficult to navigate but probably because of the AMOUNT of people at the soft opening. It's a great casual place for coffee, drinks, pastries, and catching up with a small group of friends. Since it's close to Santa Susana, there's likely to be a lot of foot traffic. Can't wait for the grand opening on Oct. 20th! read more

First timers! The Thai tea boba was sweet and delicious. The pastries were all yummy - about $30 for all of them. I like that the calories show on all the items so you're more aware of your choices. Everyone was very nice and service was fast. Some seating but not much - maybe like 6 tables. If you go later in the day (evening), they don't have much variety. I'd recommend going before 4 if you want to get what you want. read more

85 is the absolute best. So thankful it has arrived here at Simi Valley. Love their hot dog bread, coffee chocolate chip bread, chocolate Swiss roll, and sugary butter bread. Above all, their cake slices are absolutely delicious and taken to go in cute boxes. Enjoyed their red velvet, black forest, strawberry, and mango cakes. Cannot wait to try their new ube cake. Arrived at the grand opening official 85 degree location!! The line was extremely long and got here an hour before opening. This is probably my 4th visit here, and the quality of bread and service are very consistent! Workers are extremely nice and always have a smile on their face. The bread is extremely fresh and squishy. Inside is super clean, but parking can be a pain. Overall, I'm very glad Simi is becoming more diverse. This place is a must visit!!! maybe the Vietnamese Iced Coffee isn't the drink to get at this location. But try the others they looked pretty topped off when others were getting theirs. Bread is always good but not replenished as often as the Northridge location. Again I'm just glad that they even opened a spot in Simi and the quality is pretty consistent across the board. With that said. There was really just one issue that I ran into. So please don't let that be your deciding factor. Give 85 a try & you'll see why people like myself love going in to grab an assortment of different types of bread to snack read more

I do like the fact that the products are less sweet than other bakeries but I would like to see some sugar-free options. Also, the portly girl walking around seems very disenchanted with her job here. Dirty tables and empty shelves. Is this what we should expect as a manager these days. I was SHOCKED when I found out they were opening a 85 degree bakery in SIMI VALLEY. But I am so thankful that I can now conveniently get my passionfruit iced tea and egg tarts whenever I want. This location is so nice and new. It has a great selection and was not too busy when I went. read more

I came here early morning to see what goodies they have and I got a few good items - the chocolate croissant, the sausage cheese bread, the cinnamon roll, and the blueberry muffin. It was very tasty. Although the blueberry muffins don't have blueberries inside which was kinda weird but it was still really good. The customer service was okay. They are very relaxed here not fast paced paying at the register took longer than the usual check out. This place is good for an early little dessert. Please add more blueberries inside the muffins! Finally! Something new in the neighborhood! Living here in Simi Valley has some caveats - minimum food selection. It's nice to have this bake shop around the corner. Lots of choices of pastries, desserts and drinks. I only come here just for one pastry and they seem to always ran out. It's that good, I guess. I had to ask and glad I did. The staff were really nice. Pastries and other items are reasonably priced well. Inside is modern and organized. When you pay, you're not obligated to tip not like majority of places today. Plenty of parking spaces. read more

I got the red bean past pastry and the mango filled one. They were delicious! I also got the Sea Salt Matcha Latte. So yummy! The line on opening day wasn't bad they had shade provided and had a quick plan. I got my food and everything much quicker than I expected. They had cute tables and a great area to sit and relax. read more

I love that 85 degree bakery is moving closer to me. I'm just not sure my wallet agrees since I can never leave this place without spending $30+ on all these delicious treats. They have a good system going and you can get in and out rather quickly here. Love the variety and I'd say about 95% of what I've tried here has been delicious. read more

Solid choice for bakeries in the area. I really enjoyed the Matcha roll cakes and these were just the right amount of moist and sweetness. Unlike other bakeries were the pastries were way too sweet, 85°C tends to have food at just the right amount of sweetness for me. read more

Although I'm not a huge fan of the pastries, the drinks here are amazing! My personal favorite is the Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea. I've also tried the 85 degrees coffee which is also very delicious. It was a very sweet and creamy latte that pleasantly surprised me. Service here is excellent! And I recently discovered that they have a nice seating area as well! Will definitely be coming back! read more

I was so excited when I heard of this bakery opening up in my neighboring town. I went in today for some sweet treats. I loved the cleanliness and how organized everything is. You choose your own treats with a tray and take them to the counter. There are so many to choose from. We ended up getting the jalapeño and cream cheese bread, taro filled bread, strawberry short cake slice and tiramisu slice. Although it was not that busy, there were two cashiers, so customers were being attended quickly. I got many sweet treats but the star of today's items was the strawberry matcha drink. It was so tasty. Definitely will be returning to try more. read more

Yep, It's 5 star good. Excellent coffee, not bitter like Starbucks and reasonably priced. Good service, good parking. No drive thru. Outstanding bakery items. Most all fresh baked on the spot. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. I will also mention that I tried their iced tea in the hopes that it would be better than the watery coffee, but the iced tea was so strong that it was barely drinkable.
