Love this bakery! The cakes and breads are lightly sweet, and light in texture, I don't feel too guilty about eating the sweets here. I love the chocolate-bun, a chocolate bun with chocolate pudding inside. I know it sounds like a lot but it is the perfect amount and not overwhelmingly sweet. read more

Finally have an 85 degrees in Ventura county! We always had to drive far to visit a store. Since it's new, the store is still looking clean with a lot of selection! There's so many pastries to choose from. If you're looking for a drink I would recommend the Taro Lavender latte! So delicious! Other than that, big store and easy to get what you want. read more

Great location with a lot of fresh baked breads and pastry options and also includes a boba bar. Ordering was super fast and there was a lot of places to sit. When I visited the inside was also very clean and well stocked even though it was later in the evening. Glad we got a location in Ventura County read more

I grew up on 85 degrees - they have been my go-to bakery since I was first introduced to the original Diamond Jamboree location in Irvine. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw that they were opening up one so close to home! This 85 degrees shares a parking lot with a few other businesses. I never have any trouble with getting a spot. The interior layout is similar to most other locations. There is a section where you pick and choose pastries to take home. Each bread is individually wrapped for sanitation purposes (a change largely influenced by the COVID pandemic). You bring your tray of yummy pastries to the register where they ring you up. You also have the option of ordering from their cake (try the Strawberry Deluxe) or drink (all the sea salt drinks are solid) menu. There is also a separate kiosk for drink orders only. Service is quick and efficient. For those who are already familiar with 85 degrees, no explanation is needed. However, if you are in Simi Valley and love carbs and sugar, try this place! read more

I love that they now have an 85 degrees close enough for me to get to. They have quite a bit of tables for you to sit. These are delicious breads from Taiwan. There are many options to choose from: savory or sweet. We usually get quite a bit and will have that for a quick breakfast. read more

We are so crazy LUCKY to have one of these stores in our city! The EARLIER you get there the better chance you'll have of seeing all the different pastries, cakes, and bread filled with the best yummy goodness you will ever savor!!!! Easy to get to - next to McDonalds off Sycamore and Cochran. My #1 fave is the mangotale, milk pudding, and spicy sausage bread. If you are planning on getting a cake- order it online ahead of time. I recently went to 85 Degrees tonics up some desserts for NYE and was not disappointed. Heard about this new place opening and we really don't have a traditional bakery close by so I was excited to check this place out. So many delizioso choices, I needed a light bread for toast points for caviar and they had their own bread and it was perfect. Also picked up some other pastries for breakfast on New Years Day and they were incredible (forgot to take photos-sorry) which were light and airy with incredible tasting cremes inside just perfect with a cup of coffee. The desserts or "dulce" that I got for NYE were amazing, featuring mango, strawberry, chocolate ingredients. Also picked up their Coconut Bites and were so good and freshly made. If you are looking for some new tastes from a in house bakery making items fresh this is the place to go. They also offer a coffee bar which must be good because it had a line which moved fairly quick and had smiling faces as they were leaving and tasting their drinks. I will be back multiple times and am so ready to keep a small business open in a nearby community. Give this place a try I don't think you will be disappointed and your tummy will love you for it. Came on December 23, while everyone is doing last minute shopping. The line seemed intimidating, but they kept it moving quickly and accurately and still being pleasant. can confirm that 85 in Simi is just AS GOOD as the ones in the valley, LA, and OC! Service was quick for just opening and so kind. The place is clean and a little difficult to navigate but probably because of the AMOUNT of people at the soft opening. It's a great casual place for coffee, drinks, pastries, and catching up with a small group of friends. Since it's close to Santa Susana, there's likely to be a lot of foot traffic. First timers! The Thai tea boba was sweet and delicious. The pastries were all yummy - about $30 for all of them. I like that the calories show on all the items so you're more aware of your choices. Everyone was very nice and service was fast. Some seating but not much - maybe like 6 tables. If you go later in the day (evening), they don't have much variety. Arrived at the grand opening official 85 degree location!! The line was extremely long and got here an hour before opening. This is probably my 4th visit here, and the quality of bread and service are very consistent! Workers are extremely nice and always have a smile on their face. The bread is extremely fresh and squishy. Inside is super clean, but parking can be a pain. Overall, I'm very glad Simi is becoming more diverse. This place is a must visit!!! maybe the Vietnamese Iced Coffee isn't the drink to get at this location. But try the others they looked pretty topped off when others were getting theirs. Bread is always good but not replenished as often as the Northridge location. Again I'm just glad that they even opened a spot in Simi and the quality is pretty consistent across the board. With that said. There was really just one issue that I ran into. So please don't let that be your deciding factor. Give 85 a try & you'll see why people like myself love going in to grab an assortment of different types of bread to snack read more

I came here early morning to see what goodies they have and I got a few good items - the chocolate croissant, the sausage cheese bread, the cinnamon roll, and the blueberry muffin. It was very tasty. Although the blueberry muffins don't have blueberries inside which was kinda weird but it was still really good. The customer service was okay. They are very relaxed here not fast paced paying at the register took longer than the usual check out. This place is good for an early little dessert. Please add more blueberries inside the muffins! Also, the portly girl walking around seems very disenchanted with her job here. Dirty tables and empty shelves. Is this what we should expect as a manager these days. Finally! Something new in the neighborhood! Living here in Simi Valley has some caveats - minimum food selection. It's nice to have this bake shop around the corner. Lots of choices of pastries, desserts and drinks. I only come here just for one pastry and they seem to always ran out. It's that good, I guess. I had to ask and glad I did. The staff were really nice. Pastries and other items are reasonably priced well. Inside is modern and organized. When you pay, you're not obligated to tip not like majority of places today. Plenty of parking spaces. read more

I got the red bean past pastry and the mango filled one. They were delicious! I also got the Sea Salt Matcha Latte. So yummy! The line on opening day wasn't bad they had shade provided and had a quick plan. I got my food and everything much quicker than I expected. Although I'm not a huge fan of the pastries, the drinks here are amazing! My personal favorite is the Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea. I've also tried the 85 degrees coffee which is also very delicious. It was a very sweet and creamy latte that pleasantly surprised me. Service here is excellent! And I recently discovered that they have a nice seating area as well! I was so excited when I heard of this bakery opening up in my neighboring town. I went in today for some sweet treats. I loved the cleanliness and how organized everything is. You choose your own treats with a tray and take them to the counter. There are so many to choose from. We ended up getting the jalapeño and cream cheese bread, taro filled bread, strawberry short cake slice and tiramisu slice. Although it was not that busy, there were two cashiers, so customers were being attended quickly. I got many sweet treats but the star of today's items was the strawberry matcha drink. It was so tasty. Definitely will be returning to try more. read more

Since I work long hours during the week and usually am not up for jumping right up on the weekends, that is cool with me! DH will go over and pick out fresh pastries for us for breakfast/brunch. He'll usually select one savory item and one sweet treat. Often, their Japanese-style egg salad tucked inside a pastry is so perfect for me. The actual dough is like a marriage between a bagel and a croissant. It's lighter than a bagel, but it's flavorful and tender like a croissant, but not flaky. The egg salad filling is just right for my tastebuds, and it provides protein in a fancy, delicious fashion. Today there was a hint of savory garlic on the pastry, and that added a nice flavor accent. Today's sweet pastry was an open-faced tart filled with a smooth, light chocolate base, topped with creamy custard, and then sliced pears on top. Mmm. I like the choice of pears offering a hint of the autumn season ahead. The last time we had out of town guests staying with us, we took my them to Le Herisson one morning. They fell in love with the food and the sweet, simple ambiance. The next morning, my sister-in-law got up early and went back over, bringing back a box of pastries for everyone to share. That definitely tells the story of how much everyone enjoyed the food offerings. It's a special treat to have a quality bakery like this in Simi. We prefer it to another well-regarded bakery on the west end of town, which is a different style and more expensive.

I recently visited 85° in Simi Valley. This particular location is clean and organized, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They have a wide variety of pastries and baked goods, making it a perfect spot to stop by for a treat or a coffee. The only downside I noticed is that all their baked goods seem to have soy in them. Terrible service! It's baffling that a so-called high-end bakery refuses to write something as simple as 'Happy Birthday' on a cake. The products are overpriced and definitely not worth the cost. I sincerely hope a better bakery takes over this location to offer the quality and service customers deserve. read more

I was shocked when they opened in Simi. Very glad to see they are doing well. Always customers in there and they don't over make the food. Arguably the best boba drinks in Simi. I just hope the less friendly members of our community dont treat it poorly. read more

The egg salad filling is just right for my tastebuds, and it provides protein in a fancy, delicious fashion. Today there was a hint of savory garlic on the pastry, and that added a nice flavor accent. Today's sweet pastry was an open-faced tart filled with a smooth, light chocolate base, topped with creamy custard, and then sliced pears on top. Mmm. I like the choice of pears offering a hint of the autumn season ahead. The last time we had out of town guests staying with us, we took my them to Le Herisson one morning. They fell in love with the food and the sweet, simple ambiance. The next morning, my sister-in-law got up early and went back over, bringing back a box of pastries for everyone to share. That definitely tells the story of how much everyone enjoyed the food offerings. It's a special treat to have a quality bakery like this in Simi. We prefer it to another well-regarded bakery on the west end of town, which is a different style and more expensive.
