We made a stop on our way to Huntington Beach, pretty much right off freeway so convenient! We got a flat white and cortoda excellent coffee and they use Verve beans yum. The pastries looked amazing and fyi they serve wine & lunches believe they close at 3pm. We loved the cozy fireplace

Cafe Ficelle, is a small and cozy French eatery in Thousand Oaks. There is both inside and outside seating (with a rectangular fire pit). While there is easy to grab bakery fare (croissants, pastries and the like), there is also a limited menu, with interesting selections. I am always looking for something different. And although the Quiche Lorraine can be found in many places, it is always different, not only in its contents, but also how it is made and presented. So that is what I chose. This dish, with bacon and gruyere, came with a wonderful flaky crust. The generous sliced portion was at the perfect temperature, creamy on the inside, moist, silky and flavorful. One could taste the egg, the cheese and how it married with the bacon. Well prepared and memorable. I chose fruit (berries) as the side, instead of a small salad. I sat outside, by the fire pit, to enjoy my breakfast, the fresh air, the soft Hollywood music and the fire pit. This was a good find and worthy of another visit, to sample more of its menu.

I had just eaten breakfast so I wasn't there to eat, but I have driven by too many times not to check it out! From what I saw, they have all the Italian food, favorites, fresh baked pastries, fresh baked bread. I did have a hibiscus elderberry iced tea which was fabulous. The beautiful space is gorgeous and airy with attentive servers on staff. The courtyard area is magnificent with this gorgeous tree! I was in awe. I will definitely go back when I'm hungry, but I wanted to share it now so that you don't wait as long to get there as I did!

Stumbled across this cute little breakfast spot in T.O--such a cozy gem! Parking wasn't the easiest, but I lucked out and found a spot nearby. Inside, there was plenty of seating both indoors and out. It wasn't busy when I arrived, but I can imagine it getting crowded during peak hours. I ordered the Liège Waffle Breakfast, and wow--what a treat! The waffle came with your choice of toppings, a perfectly basted egg (basically fried over easy), and a crispy side of bacon. I picked the blueberry ricotta topping, and it was divine--creamy, just sweet enough, and paired beautifully with the warm waffle. The portion size hit the sweet spot: I finished everything and left happily satisfied, not stuffed. My friend and I split a seasonal mimosa flight with four flavors: lavender lemon, pomegranate, grapefruit, and peach (though they were out of one, so we swapped it for a cherry one instead--which ended up being my friend's favorite). I personally loved the grapefruit and lavender lemon--light, bubbly, and super refreshing. All in all, a lovely little spot for a laid-back brunch with a few delicious surprises. Note to mention, this is also a nice spot to study or to bring your laptop. They have free WiFi.

My friend and I went there to enjoy a nice latte and something to eat. Pacifically asked for a latte in a coffee cup and not paper cup. I ordered French toast, which was definitely not worth the price. They called my name for me to get my coffee which was in a paper cup. I told him that I specifically asked for it to be in a coffee clip. He proceeded to pour it in the coffee cup. I go for the experience and pay for it. It's funny how they have you sign and want to receive a tip. I thought I was going to get good service at 18% instead I picked up my coffee and someone dropped off the very bad French toast. I don't think that is worth 18%.. very disappointed.

I am a fan of this little bistro bakery with the lovely pastries from Camarillo but, the Thousand Oaks outpost needs a lot of work. Every visit has been below expectations. There is NO parking yet they allow their team of 3-4 to park onsite every day, leaving no spaces for guests. We literally circled 3 times before selecting a "questionable spot" hoping to avoid a ticket. We arrived on a Tuesday at 10am for brunch and was told come back in a half hour because the chef is on lunch. Also, it's strange that they give you a number for your food to be delivered but you have to come and wait at the counter for your coffee. Sadly, this location could use management on site because it's really missing the service mark!

This location is absolutely stunning, and the layout is so well-designed. The espresso in my latte is always perfect, smooth and never bitter. The staff here is consistently upbeat and kind, which makes every visit enjoyable. This is hands down my favorite spot for an oat latte! They also offer a fantastic selection of food and wine. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but one day, when I'm not in a rush, I'll definitely take the time to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and try their food.

This is the third one of these I've been to and it was pretty good, even though the one in Ventura still tastes the best for whatever reason. The woman ringing us up was funny and sweet and the inside is very pretty and it looks like there's a section where people like to do a little work on laptops which is nice. I got the french onion soup with a chai latte. Drink tasted like a typical chai and the soup had good flavor. My friend got the quiche lorraine but it was kind of dry even though she said the flavor was great.

inside is really cute, lots of options and seating but the food was not very good. we kept asking the person at register for recommendations but he just kept saying it really depends on what you're looking for which wasn't super helpful but i understand. food took a while to come out. seasonal latte was pretty good but our food was super small and bland. we ordered the omelette and breakfast sandwich i couldn't really justify the price we paid because it was something we could've prepared at home which is not typically an expectation when going out to eat. can't say i would recommend i should've read reviews first.

Very nice ambiance in a nice luxurious living complex area. Private parking lot. 1. Raspberry Croissant (4.5/5) Lovely crisp on the outside and filled with a lot of fresh, tart raspberry jam on the inside. Good but very filling. 2. Bruschetta Toast (5/5) The Country French sourdough bread is crispy and fresh. Each bite had a nice crunch. The sourdough flavor really shines through. They give a good amount of avocado, topped off with Delicious, rich Gruyere cheese. The balsamic glaze adds a strong vinegary tartness. 3. Latte (3.5/5) Creamy and milky. Coffee/espresso was a bit on the weaker side though. Can choose between milk, soy milk, almond or oat milk. 4. Kouign Amann (5/5) Absolutely delicious and addicting. It's sweet, very crispy on the outside and slightly doughy on the inside. The caramelized sugar coating was an added plus.

Beautiful set up, clean, bright, inviting... but not enough to compensate for the poor quality breads and the exorbitant prices. We spent $46 on two small baked goods and two small sandwiches (a la carte). There was just one other patron here who had already been served when we arrived, yet it took some time for us to be served our two caprese sandwiches which were just alright. So far, we've been to two other branches of this chain and none of them that great. The food just misses the mark and isn't worth the price.
