Between the four of us, we ordered: -The Shanghai-style chicken chow mein was the table favorite, everyone agreed it was the best dish. -The crab & pork xiaolongbao was another favorite. I wish there was more of a crab flavor, but they were piping hot and delicious. -The shumai and tonkatsu ramen were just okay and pretty mid for all of us. -The wontons in chili oil were easily our least favorite. Unfortunately, the service lacked any kind of hospitality. We were handed four menus and told to "pick a seat and come back up to order." There was no one in line, so we weren't really sure why we couldn't just order first. When we tried to sit at a larger table since we knew we were ordering several dishes, the waitress told us we couldn't and pointed out that other tables could fit four people. We looked at the smaller table and knew it would be cramped, but we sat there anyway just to avoid any conflict. When I went back up to order, there was now a line. I was on the phone while looking at the menu when the same waitress came over, took the menus from me, and said, "You only need one." I understand the intent, but the way everything was handled just came across as rude and unwelcoming. The ordering system is a bit confusing--you can either grab a menu and seat yourself then order up front or order first at the counter and have the food brought out. That said, the staff is friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere. While we waited, we could watch the staff making dumplings fresh in front of us, which added to the charm. 88 BaoBao Dumpling & Ramen was my most anticipated restaurant. I have been waiting for this restaurant to open forever. My patience has paid off, and I am thrilled Tulsa finally has a Chinese restaurant specializing in noodles and dumplings. The menu is simple. Try a dumpling and a noodle soup. Trust me, this is the place for these two items. For the dumplings, I would recommend XiaoLongBao aka "soup dumplings." These are steamed dumplings made with a thin dough wrapper, a seasoned broth, and juicy meat filling." The pork soup dumplings at 88 BaoBao were delicious. For the noodle soup, you have to try the beef ramen. Tonkotsu ramen, black garlic ramen, and chicken ramen were available on the menu but it was hard for me to get any of these soups thanks to Jinya Ramen Bar. I would consider the wonton ramen, but the go-to noodle soup for the first visit is the BEEF RAMEN. This was the best beef ramen in Tulsa. The beef slices were soft and tender. The noodles were perfect. I could have probably handled extra spicy. The only complaint was the broth which could have been more flavorful. This restaurant is going to be trendy. It's really unique, and I am surprised that Tulsa hasn't had one. 88 BaoBao is the first, and I hoping for more Chinese soups and dumplings restaurants in the future. I came back and tried the cucumber salad which was okay. Basically, chopped cucumber in a sweet garlic sauce for $6.95. Hmm...not sure about it. Also got the wonton ramen extra spicy. Came here after a long day at a convention nearby, we were hungry and looking for some authentic Chinese food and we found it here! For starters, we got the cucumber salad and BOY it is refreshing, crunchy, well seasoned and crushed like how it's supposed to be. We got the sautéed green beans (requested no msg) in garlic... so good, came out right away. We ordered F2 stir fry vege rice noodles (requested no msg) and that came out next. The rice noodles were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned (just the way we like it!) Of course we ordered pork xiao long bao and this was the highlight of the meal. You need to wait as they need 15 min to steam. They came out last, piping hot soup inside and just delicious. I added a few drops of soy and vinegar to my spoon before loading up the dumpling into my spoon. Perfection. We definitely need to come back at least one more time to have the beef noodle soup. read more

As per the Doctor's recommendation, I ordered the Beef Ramen. It was very good, The beef; lean, tender, and pleasantly seasoned. A little more spiciness wouldn't have bothered me at all. My wife went with the Shanghai Style Chicken Chow Mein. It didn't have much flavor and was too oily for her liking. We kept a copy of the menu at the table to study the meal options. She had noticed Orange Chicken had been added to the menu in handwriting. She wished that she had ordered that. Order at the counter and pay at the counter. Grab your soda from the cooler before you sit down. Your food is delivered to your table. I like the open kitchen. You can view the cooks as they prepare the food. Any strange animals are probably executed out away from the public view. It appeared to be a well ran operation. A previous reviewer noted that on his visit, the restaurant had a malodorous fragrance. They must have addressed the problem. It was clean and odor free today. I had the wontons in chili oil today and they are freshly made in the kitchen, steamed and doused in chili oil. The cilantro and green onion on top are a nice complement as well. The sauce is slightly spicy or if you are a chili head, not so spicy There is also a bit of sweetness to the pork filled wonton and they are overall delicious! I have ordered the Pork XiaoLongBao soup dumplings several times in the past and they are the #1 seller for a reason. Handmade and full of broth so be careful with you take a nibble from the side to slup the soup, they are served piping hot. They include a side of chili crisp oil, a sweeter dumpling sauce and a more savory dipping sauce. The location is on the Northeast corner of 71st and Memorial which can be kind of tricky to get to during heavy traffic times so just plan your approach accordingly. I am always on the go and usually order online for pickup and they have always had my order ready in 15minutes or less. They do have seating inside if you want to dine in. read more

The garlic green beans as an appetizer are a must, they are amazing. The pork Bao Buns were alright, could've used more meat inside of them. The pork and crab soup dumplings were amazing. The shrimp rice noodles were pretty good, nothing to run home about, but I added garlic sauce to them and it made them much more enjoyable. The minced beef noodle bowl was delicious. But the chocolate dessert buns were just a melted hersey kiss, not worth it. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. read more

You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. 3 of us ordered ramen with those being beef ramen, pork ramen and wonton ramen. All were delicious and full of meat and veggies. You can get any ramen at any degree of hot or non at all. An order of pork steamed buns and pork/crab dumplings were also very delicious.
