Was near the fan fest for fifa world cup and wanted to attend a brewery. We stumbled here and watched a game. A cool place and have outdoor seating as well. Plus a food truck to order food from! A bunch of different things on draft and the staff were very chill!

Not much of a selection on beer, tried an American pale ale and a Vietnamese coffee porter both hit the mark for flavor. Most of the menu is thc based drinks

    The big board.

Nostalgic for me because I grew up going to The Astrodome, the 8th Wonder. Reasonable walk to watch the Astros. Parked between the 2 places. I really like the big board (pic) when you're deciding on your beers. I prefer the Dome Foam (cream ale) again taking me back to my youth hearing vendors yell "coldest foam in the dome" it's an average craft. Wife got Tex, blonde Ale, again just average. Food truck wings and fries are never bad. If you're a brewery person, 8th Wonder is a good stop.

Cool place with an impressive large outdoor beer garden. Came here for a tailgate sports and restaurant tasting event and was not disappointed. Great laid back atmosphere. Worth checking out. The outside beer garden is especially impressive.

I had a fabulous time at 8th wonder! I don't drink anymore so I was so ready to see the brewery where most of my options come from! They honestly had way more for sale than I realized if you're a bartender or restaurant owner looking to expand your options I highly recommend seeing what they have to offer! The vibe was really cool I loved all the astros and Houston decor! Can't wait to be back!

The nightlife haven that has been EaDo has always been impressive to me, namely because of the variety of places to crawl, hop, and indulge. No venue embodies this more than 8th Wonder Brewery, which has become a must visit since there is so much more than meets the eye. There are numerous reasons I can get behind this wonder: :: Outdoor seating is one of the best I've seen in Houston. There are tables galore and an endless amount of space to run around in. It is so vast that even on their busiest days i've still managed to find some aspect of seating. :: It's enormous. There is so much room to run around and plenty of space to where it never feels crowded. Seating is abundant and the high ceilings :: Need somewhere to go where a bunch of folks can meet up immediately? No reservations required and bring the kids and pets (during the daytime), or show up with a bunch of folks and enjoy the outdoor tables. :: Like beer? Good. There's plenty of it here. The dome foam (throwback cream ale) and the cougar paw (red ale) are excellent. :: Happy Hour is between 4pm-7pm, which includes $8 THC cocktails and a variety of other spirits. $4 beer drafts, $5 THC drafts, and $6 well liquor. Their daily "Wonder Hour is from 8-9pm where it's 25% off all to-go purchases. :: No pretension here. No cover. Come in and go out. That's a beautiful thing considering how any venues here will check for IDs and promptly ask for money. :: On select nights, this the street side destination for Yoyo's Hot Dogs (#1), which moved here after their initial run in Rice Village. :: They serve Delta-8 / Delta-9 here. Nuff said. :: Service from the bartenders has always been no frills and friendly. All drinks are normally served with a smile and the pours can be nice and heavy. The only downside is the bathrooms and the parking. There isn't enough of the latter and there's not of the former. Still, I appreciate all the intangibles that 8th Wonder has to offer and look forward to coming here each time. ___________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/yoyos-hot-dog-houston-14?

Love 8th Wonder Brewery (and now dispensary!) - always a good call when your day calls for beer in Houston. Steady rotation of GREAT beer choices, including seasonal entries that are added frequently. They do have THC infusion cocktails and liquors that really do expand their brand into the hemp-inspired world. Service is friendly and helpful to assist you with beer selection, or to let you know of some new brews to try. Casual, fun and inviting atmosphere inside and also a large spread out patio area. Food trucks are parked outside and change through the week/month. Great times are easy to come by here, and it's great for the family to come and hang out together.

Couzie of beer offered. Beer in picture is Cougar Paw Red Ale.

Staff was very welcoming and informative. Im new to the THC industry and they explained in great length about their THC infused products and answered any questions I had. I had 2 beers while i was there. IP8 and Cougar Paw. Both were very good and I sampled a few others. I enjoyed each option they offered me. They have several pinball machines in the main bar area if that's your thing. Most of the seating is park benck/table style with a lil lack of bar seating. They have food trucks available in the outdoor area out back which also provides more seating and lawn games. Very nice place yo enjoy a beer and some games with friends. I would definitely return.

Drink beer in a space large enough to land a helicopter in. The place is enormous, whimsical, centrally located, and full of great beer. I got here on a Friday night, fully expecting the crowds you'd find at any bar on a Friday night, but this place is so big it's hard for it to feel packed. Or maybe no one heads here on a Friday night. Either way, other people's loss is our gain and we gathered with a huge group here and had plenty of space to spread out. The outdoor space is so big and you have picnic tables as far as the eye can see. It's like a national park sized beer garden. The Beatles statues in the lot were just the cherry on top-- the perfect backdrop for the beautiful photos you can grab at this space. The inside is industrial, like any good brewery. They've filled the space with plenty of games, be them board games or cornhole. I could easily see whiling away the hours of a Saturday afternoon here. If I lived here I'd go here whenever the weather was nice.

Howdy from TX! Good atmosphere, food trucks on site, beer, wine, cocktails, friendly service, live music ... say no more. Come and relax here. It's a fun place which doesn't require long review lol.

Come on over to 8th wonder brewery if you're looking for a good time and good beer!!! The service here was pretty good, staff were nice and friendly so that's always a plus!! I like how the lighting inside wasn't bright but more so on the dimmer side and the decor inside and out was just a vibe!! PLUS THEY HAVE A FUNNY GUMMY VENDING MACHINE!!!!

This is a terrific local place with a multitude of beer and they have my favorite, THC infused seltzers. They give out tokens if you spend some money, I don't quite understand it but we got two free tokens after ordering a flight of seltzers and two beer. Then we got another token. It's really awesome because then you just keep drinking! They have clean enough bathrooms, a gorgeous outside area, and lots of TVs and music. They have cute ambience and things around the walls, Jenga and connect to four outside, and lots of little memorabilia. A great brewery, and kid friendly.

Located approx 30 minutes away from IAH, we slipped away to 8th Wonder during a long layover. The ambience and vibes were so perfect for getting our trip started! We're super into IPAs, so we tried a couple different ones and loved everything we tried. We thought the aesthetics were really cool too and matched the name quite well! We really loved the outdoor area and thought it was such a good open space with so many seating options and places to just relax and enjoy a brew! Plus, a "We Houston" sign is right outside of the brewery which was super fun to be a full fledged tourist with!! Not into beer? They also have THC infused seltzers. Plus, there is an 8th wonder distillery nearby too! Unfortunately, we were there a little tooo early so we missed the food truck scene but there is food available in the later part of the day!!

8th Wonder Brewery Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - 8th Wonder Brewery

Are the delta-8 seltzer's back on sale now that they are legal again?

    Yes

One review says you have to pay to get in is that true?

That is not true, you do not have to pay a cover fee to get in. I have been here multiple times and have never paid haha

Do they have gender neutral restrooms?

    Yes

Can we bring in outside food?

No but they do have food trucks inside.

Is the parking around the brewery for a limited time or can you leave your car there for a couple of hours?

There is a pay-for-parking lot next to the brewery which is owned by them. They will credit you $5.…

Can I take my kids? Also do they charge to go in?

They don't charge to go in. I am pretty sure they allow kids but there aren't generally a lot there. They do have a lot of fun games outside that I would think kids would enjoy.

    Is 8th wonder kid friendly?

Yes, there is an outside area with patio, covered and uncovered. Many families were there when I last visited.

If you're in Houston and looking for a cute girls night out, unique date night, or a speakeasy experience, add this to your bucket list immediately. Guided Tasting: 3 courses of drinks and chocolates 3. The Journey: 5 courses of drinks, chocolates, and other bites. Come hungry! You're encouraged to book a reservation through their website. But since we went on Wednesday for the ladies night, we were able to just go right in. I'm doing chemo so I can't drink or have the alcohol infused chocolate but I still had a great time. Sober folks can also enjoy this place. I got a cherry mocktail and it was the best mocktail I ever drank. They had two chocolate bon bons that weren't infused with alcohol and then all of the flat medallions are also not infused. They were sweet enough to send me home with some alcohol infused chocolates to have once I finish my chemo. We got there around 7 and didn't leave until the place was closing down. The DJ was amazing and she made the atmosphere feel more like a Saturday night.

The store front is very tiny, it could fit maybe 6 people fairly comfortably. They do have a speak easy space for their tastings, which is an interesting concept, which I'll touch on later. Effectively, they have different unique shapes of chocolate that are liquid filled with alcoholic and non-alcoholic liqueurs. Think licor 43, gin, bourbon, whiskey, tequila, etc. The chocolates themselves are good, there wasn't any that I disliked and I'd say the carajillo was one of my favorites. All that said, I think this can be hit or miss with some folks. I like them, whereas I can see how it has a bit of a flash in the pan type taste. It hits fast and then, that's it.Personally, I can get past that probably and could easily eat 10 in rapid fashion. Where this place loses my attention and where I struggle is the pricing. Value is always subjective and I'm sure some will find these to be well worth their price. For reference, I think it's 4 for $22, 8 for $34, when I recently visited. I just didn't find them to be worth that pricing model, particularly when there are other brands that you can get at a lower price and similar fillings. At the end of the day, I think this is worth it for an experience or date, particularly if you're going to go in for the tasting. Think, wine and cheese, in this case, cocktails and chocolates. It's $65 a person for the experience. Overall, I'm glad to see a boutique shop like this that's locally owned by a young, ambitious entrepreneur. My two cents, price lower and there is likely a higher amount of return customers for the chocolates, but I'll save you, the reader, the take on an entire business model diatribe here.

It also helps support local restaurants during slower seasons while raising money for local charities, which is something I always enjoy supporting. Unfortunately, our first Restaurant Weeks experience at Private Client was underwhelming. We ordered from both the Restaurant Weeks menu and the happy hour menu. For our first course appetizers we had the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Ceviche Acapulco. The Bang Bang Shrimp were very hot, fresh, crispy and delicious. It wasn't mayonnaise forward like I would've liked but the portion size was more generous than expected. The Ceviche Acapulco missed the mark. The bowl was filled with juice, which took away from the dish. For our main course, we ordered the 14 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and broccolini that we asked to be cooked medium well. Unfortunately, it came out fully cooked, hard to cut, and under seasoned. We also ordered the lamb chops with couscous and broccolini, also cooked medium well. Those were the best out of the main courses we ordered. They were tender, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. The sides were just average. For dessert we tried the molten chocolate lava cake that was heavily drowned in raspberry sauce. And a scope of vanilla bean ice cream both were decent, but nothing to rave about. From the happy hour menu we ordered the Golden Hour and As You Wish cocktails, along with a Brut and a Rosé. We really enjoyed the As You Wish cocktail and the Rosé. We also ordered the sliders, which were easily one of the BEST things we ate, second to the lamb chops. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The interior is warm, modern chic with rustic touches, and the space feels open and inviting. The service was good, but not good enough to justify what happened at the end of the meal. Every menu clearly states that a 20% gratuity is automatically added only for parties of six or more. Our party consisted of just two people, yet a 20% gratuity was still added to our bill without being mentioned. We NEVER mind tipping for good service, and we had already left a generous tip more than what was promoted as a suggestion before realizing the gratuity had already been included. Being charged an automatic gratuity that contradicts the restaurant's own stated policy on every menu and without informing guests is unacceptable. If you decide to dine here, be sure to carefully review your bill before paying, no matter how quickly the card reader is handed to you.

Service: not great, we had a manager start off as our server but she was awkward in a "not socially aware" way (ex. she kept saying our server had to use the bathroom, even when our server came to the the table and looked so embarrassed; she also told me my non-alcoholic drink order would not taste good without knowing it's what I drink at home), rushed us (every time she said she would give us a moment she'd come RIGHT back to the table within seconds) Our actual server started off rocky as well, perhaps wasn't having a good day and she was visibly annoyed with the manager. One suggestion I would make is to have a more diverse music playlist. While the venue advertised that pop music would be played, it didn't always match the preferences of everyone there, especially given the diverse group of guests in attendance. We booked the outdoor seating and boy was it hot that day. Nonetheless, the restaurant did provide large umbrellas to shade our table, so that was nice. Main Dish: Creste De Gallo pasta, was good. My dish needed a bit more salt. Drinks: Special Sangria. This wasn't on their menu, but I asked the waitress if they served sangrias. Sure enough, they did! Although our waitress was extremely nice, the service could've been a bit better. It took about 25-30 minutes for my water. I had to remind the waitress again that I didn't receive a water. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Aperitivo. A few people at our table were not thrilled with their meal. However, I would give this place another shot and try something different on the menu..

We came a couple weeks ago during the World Cup and it was the perfect reprieve from all the fan fest craziness. They had a projector on so you could still watch the game but it was much calmer and quieter here. The drinks are super reasonable and the food is typical bar food but honestly really good! The loaded fries are my go to. Overall I really enjoy this bar and will be keeping it in mind for future times when maybe other bars in EADO are a little too crazy.

It looked dark, clubbish, and fun (exactly what I was looking for) and I couldn't wait to come here. After a 25 minute Uber ride we were downtown and walking to our destination. At first we could not find it but thankfully a nice gentlemen showed us where it was. Upon walking in, darkness with these bright lights paved our way. We sat down at the bar, but realized dancing did not start until 10pm. The bartender came over and said to us "we have a speakasy behind door #3" we were like WHAT! Let's go. So, we walked down the dark hallway and pushed open door #3 (hence the name) to find this super cool speakeasy bar. Dim lights, really modern decor, comfy suede chairs and best of all, some really great cocktails. If you are ever in Downtown Houston, I highly recommend you coming here. I promise you will have the best time. We did not stay for dancing.

The drinks were solid, and the overall atmosphere was definitely a vibe. We went on a Saturday evening, so it was pretty crowded, but once we found our spot in the Gold Room, we stayed there most of the night. Great music, great energy, and a unique concept. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different for a night out. Not sure how it took me this long to stumble in here. Parking is what it is downtown so, there's that.
