We ordered the Mango Passion Fruit Rum Punch, a Wonder Light Lager, a Haterade Watermelon Sour, and an El Pepino shot. Overall, the drinks were decent, and we appreciated the cocktails being made fresh instead of from a can. The El Pepino shot was our favorite of the all of the drinks. They don't offer beer flights, as that would have made it easier to sample more of their beers. There's a large indoor and outdoor space great for large groups, events, or simply hanging out. Brewery #377 I want to like 8th Wonder Brewery, but they won't let me. I 1st came here in early December with my ladyfriend on our way back from Big Bend national Park. We stopped in and I asked if they did flights and I simply got a rude "nope" and the guy just looked away. So I ordered a Happy Accidents pale ale that was decent. I asked if they had stickers and I got the same "Nope". I asked if they ever had them or if they were just out, "out" was the reply. Not exactly a chatty guy. So, this most recent visit, I came with a couple buddies. We stopped in before the World Baseball Classic. Still no flights and still no stickers. (The stickers are important for my garage man cave wall!). However, the beertender was a much friendlier lady this time and I got an orange fudge stout that wasn't very good. The place itself is pretty cool for the most part. Really big outdoor area with a bunch of shipping containers turned patio covers. There are a bunch of pinball machines, and the decor is fun. Drink beer in a space large enough to land a helicopter in. The place is enormous, whimsical, centrally located, and full of great beer. I got here on a Friday night, fully expecting the crowds you'd find at any bar on a Friday night, but this place is so big it's hard for it to feel packed. Or maybe no one heads here on a Friday night. Either way, other people's loss is our gain and we gathered with a huge group here and had plenty of space to spread out. The outdoor space is so big and you have picnic tables as far as the eye can see. It's like a national park sized beer garden. The Beatles statues in the lot were just the cherry on top-- the perfect backdrop for the beautiful photos you can grab at this space. The inside is industrial, like any good brewery. They've filled the space with plenty of games, be them board games or cornhole. I could easily see whiling away the hours of a Saturday afternoon here. Located approx 30 minutes away from IAH, we slipped away to 8th Wonder during a long layover. The ambience and vibes were so perfect for getting our trip started! Frustrating to go back to a place that's lost its soul - after years it's weird to go there now several times the past few years and realize you're priced out. The beer is good, but the space and parking needs a lot of care. Seriously, a lot of care. I've been here multiple times in the past, but it's been a couple years. It's clear that no one is paying attention to the customer facing details. They have plenty of space for parking in the front and back of their space, but they cone/gate it off for no reason. The bathrooms are disgusting, with scum around the sinks, leftovers in the toilets, broken cup holders, etc. There's electrical wiring across the path to get outside, the tables outdoors haven't been cleaned in a very long time, and the food truck puts off such a terrible grease smell that makes it's hard to sit outside without gagging. read more

I went here with a few friends based on their recommendation. We went here around 3 PM on a Saturday afternoon so it was somewhat busy. There wasn't much parking available so we ended up grabbing a parking spot at a nearby public parking area. The distillery sits on a location near the brewery. The brewery itself is huge. The inside location has a few tables and bar seating. The beers you can order are on this huge chalkboard. There's a ton of outdoor space, a stage, and several benches outside. Fortunately, it wasn't too chilly so our group ended up getting a table outside. The brewery itself is baseball themed and I didn't notice it too much until I went to the restroom as the "wallpaper" was made of baseball cards. I noticed a food truck outside and a few people with dogs so the brewery is definitely pet-friendly. My friends ended up ordering a special for $18 where you could get 3 craft beers + commemorative glass you could keep. The way they provisioned your beers were by handing you 8th Wonder bottle caps that you can use anytime (i.e. take home and bring back at a future time). I think this is a great business model by all means. I ended up ordering one beer (Rocket Fuel), which is a Vietnamese Coffee Porter. It's definitely what I was looking for and my friends enjoyed their beers too. If I lived in Houston, this would definitely be one of my go to spots. I would love to see what the music/night life scene is when they have that, and would love to visit here again! read more

Overall not a bad spot. We visited on a weekday about 4:30ish. As you can see the place was a bit on the slow side but that was cool. It is very open and a lot of outdoor space. On a nice day or evening I can see it being a nice place to go have a beer. It is definitely kid and pet friendly. If you want food there is a food truck in the back as you can see from the pics. You can also by the special which is if you buy 3 beers you get a better deal vs buying one at a time and they give you some bottle caps that don't expire. Overall not a bad spot I would recommend it and would visit again. As for eye candy you need to bring your own. My buddy, a Houston resident took me around town for the one night I was here and this was the first brewery he took me to. There was plenty of seating but just one bar-the bartenders managed to keep it moving along for the most part. The short line helped me decide what I wanted. So, when I visited they were serving their beers in plastic cups-I get it's still the pandemic (kinda) but with so much of the other restrictions being nonexistent-and other breweries in the area serving their wares in actual stemware it's hard to justify Solo cups. The space though was huge, with tons of tables outside with a couple of food trucks. It's definitely a good place to hang and they've definitely put a lot of thought into the place I wish they would just showcase their beer better. read more

Located in EaDo next to 59. It's been a few years since I've been to 8th Wonder and EaDo has developed and gentrified quite a bit since. Parking is available streetside for free if you look hard enough and don't mind walking a block or two; be careful after dark though. Plenty of beer options, the seltzers have Thc for some reason. Their backyard was remembered to be pretty lively and busy with a bunch of activities etc going on; we came on a Friday evening and it felt pretty run down and slow; the backyard area was spare, very quiet, and the vibe is definitely very different than a few years ago. read more

This is a great spot to hang with friends! Very casual, dog-friendly, and reasonably priced. 8th Wonder is good for events and usually has a food truck or two. The beer is very drinkable. There's a wide variety of choices, and you can mix some, which is great (ask the bartenders to help!). It's not my favorite beer in houston, but again, it's very drinkable and the variety makes it great for groups. Parking can be a bit of a challenge - comes with the EaDo area - but if you're willing to pay, there are lots nearby. Some street parking (metered) and close-ish to a neighborhood (which may be free to park). Street parking is free on Sundays (yay htown!). Unless you really luck into a spot, you will be walking a bit to get there. Wish there was a bit more in the way of shaded areas, but slather on your sunscreen and snag an extra beer to keep cool! read more

I'll be honest, I didn't purchase a thing here. Simply stopped in to use their restroom en route to dinner somewhere else. I immediately loved the ambiance upon walking in. Greatly appreciated the htown rap music that was played and the homage paid to htown legends through the artwork that was on the walls. It's dog friendly. I always notice this as a pet owner. There is a large very spacious patio if you'd like to sit outside.
