I was refused service by employee at this establishment because of my nationality (and an assumption of my religious background based on my nationality). I've been finger printed before, and it's usually very easy and nice. This was unnecessarily difficult. The worst experience during my time in the office was when the man who finger printed me asked me to verify my information. I told him my information was incorrect. He told me it was correct, told me he is the expert on his system, and then yelled in front of other customers that he has "two masters degrees." I was shaking the entire time. I would go anywhere else in Silver Spring for fingerprinting. What a nightmare. read more

Getting fingerprints here was one of the worst experiences of my life. I kept getting yelled at by the person who did my fingerprints. I was shaking the entire time. The worst moment: my fingerprinter asked me to verify my information, I told him it was incorrect, and then he yelled at me that he had two masters degrees and that he knows his system better than I do out of nowhere. Great place! Very Thorough instructions, clear directives, they took great care of me. They explained several times about the parking. (Metered parking - bring a few quarters) COVID safe - plenty of purell. The woman who fingerprinted me was courteous and friendly. This office building is kind of shady, as was the office. I called in advance and was told on the phone that the cost for fingerprinting/background check would be $52 for the type I needed. I arrived and was told that I needed a full background check that would cost $69. Fine, except they only take cash and I had $67 in my wallet. They would not budge on the price. I asked to speak to the man I spoke with on the phone who gave me the estimate (the owner). She refused. She lost my business over a $2 difference. I ended up going to All American Protective Services. Their office was lovely, lots of free parking, and their fee was only $60 and they accepted credit cards (who doesn't these days??) There are many other places to have this done that are much, much easier to deal with. read more

I called to make an appointment with 9-11 Security and Investigation Services for fingerprinting and the staff member was extremely rude with me. He first interrupted me while I was asking a question about their hours, then when I asked if they are open on weekends, he said "ARE YOU CRAZY? NO OF COURSE WE ARE NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS". I asked him to lower his voice and to not talk to me that way, at which point he hung up the phone. I will never be using this service again. read more

Nice guy. Waited for us and stayed open after 4:30 pm on a Friday. The elevator is not so great so take the stairs, lol. Person is friendly enough and explains the process. He is good about the finger prints and the whole process takes about 15 minutes. Bring cash because he doesn't take credit card. Good luck. read more

Zero customer service skills and overcharges. They charge more than twice as much as other finger printing agency. $50 cash only (probably to avoid paying taxes), other agencies charge $20. They are also rude and insensitive to customers, go else where and avoid them. I live around the corner from them, but will happily travel else where rather than patronize there so called business. Don't choose this "business" if you value your time. Needed to get a background check for a professional license. It is located conveniently in downtown Silver Spring but in the shadiest building ever. You have to call to get the code to enter the building. When I got to the 3rd floor, no one was there during their business hours! I called the man I had just spoken to to get the code so he said he'll call the technician. Apparently, he was out and this man wanted me to wait for him to return. I think not. They're charging $69 (you're required to bring cash) and you want me to wait in this creepy building for some guy to show up? I think not. I also cannot emphasize to you how shady this building was. WARNING WARNING .911security submitted my live scan fingerprints incorrectly by using the wrong submission code. when I called to inform the owner of the slight mishap he immediately cut me off and began speak loudly , completely rude and didn't let me get my complete message across to him . this owner lack of understanding and caring and customer service. He then told me my only option was to pay him again to complete another live fingerprint scan ( absolutely crazy ). When you need DOJ fingerprinting competently and quickly, this is the place to go. Very conveniently located, accommodating and efficient. The staff was very helpful and used state of art equipment to ensure compliance with Federal requirements. I was nervous to get my security clearance especially because I am from another state. This place is very sketchy. You need a code to get into the building unless there is someone in the lobby to let you in. It is a run-down apartment building with a scary elevator. Got there at 1030am during their claimed online business hours, and another guy was waiting there and had called them already. They said they would come at 11. So we waited. At 1120, the wife of the owner showed up and told us that we needed to pay $55 in cash. When I said I had no cash, she told me there is an atm at the 7/11 next door, and since I was there anyway, I may as well get it done now. This was the last straw, and I walked out. I then went to American Identity solutions instead and had a wonderful, fast, easy, and professional experience. read more

Horrible customer service. I called in advance to schedule an appointment (though their hours are listed as 9-5 I was told they are only there from 11:30-4), find out what kind of payment they accepted (only cash), and any details I would need to know regarding location, parking (across the street at 8110 Fenton), etc. The guy was rude and interrupted a lot on the phone, but I ignored that and decided to proceed. Yet, when I arrived, you need a code to get into the building, and there is no buzzer. I tried calling and no one picked up. Finally, a nice lady who was exiting let me in, and when I told her who I was going to see, rolled her eyes and said she wasn't surprised no one told me about the code. I arrived and the door to the office was locked. I was let in after knocking and not greeted at all. I said hello, and started to ask about the code, when I was interrupted and told to "give me your papers". I asked to be allowed to finish, and explained that I was not told about the code. He rolled his eyes and said "you didn't ask. Give me your papers". Okay, because I should know to specifically ask about a code to get into an office building I've never been to before; that makes sense. :/ With that kind of rudeness, I said I would take my business elsewhere, and left. Best decision I made, as I found American Fingerprinting Service in Bethesda for less $$, who accept a variety of payment options, and who had great customer service. read more

I visited this company for professional licensing purposes and found the company to be very professional and very helpful. Yes, you were required to call at the front door to obtain the code, but that was explained when you initially call up inquiring about the service, it is purely for security purposes and did not feel like an inconvenience.
