We hired 916Movers for our move from our apartment to our first home. Nerves were high as we were exited to move into our first house! 916Movers confirmed the day before, showed up early, and were extremely efficient. They moved quickly and with purpose. After working with other moving companies, they were definitely very quick. We were grateful that they didn't try to drag out their time with us for more money (4 hour minimum). It seemed like they wanted to get us moved in as quickly as we did! They provided saranwrap and blankets for the furniture, and we had 90% of the boxes packed and ready to go when they arrived. The rate was the same as what we had discussed over the phone. What we were very impressed with, was that they moved items that we weren't expecting. For example, we already had a couch & table in the garage from a previous move. They moved both inside for us and into place, which we are very appreciative for. They also moved a couple of heavy pieces of furniture to the dumpster, which we weren't expecting. 916Movers was great! They gave me a reasonable price for 3 movers and their truck. They showed up on time, and got started quickly. The guys made quick work of my furniture, appliances and boxes. They had my 3/2 townhouse (1500 sqft) packed in a little under 2 hours. They then drove about 30 mins to our new house, and proceeded to unload everything in about an hour. Whole move took a little less than 4 hours. I had invited a couple friends to help move, and they said this was the easiest move ever. Aaron and Tommy were not only efficient, they were **extremely careful** with our possessions. Aaron packed our boxes and furniture in a tight, floor-to-ceiling wall inside the truck to ensure that nothing shifted (and tied down the load every few feet as an extra precaution). Never been treated so rudely in my life. 3 friends recommended this company so I wanted to use them but unfortunately my house is too large, my driveway is too steep and it's obviously not easy enough for them to make their $50 an hour per person. I'll add another 5 star review for 916 Movers. We used Steve's company recently and were really pleased with how hard Aaron, Tom and the rest of the crew handled our move. Few items of mention: we have a grandfather clock and it was obvious they had moved large clocks before. They knew how to handle the weights and pendulum and were careful in moving the clock so as to not damage the movement inside. They also worked well as a team. Calling out hand positions, noting door jambs and overall just communicating well. Every piece of furniture a moving company moves is a chance to scratch a wall, knock loose a staircase spindle or gouge wooden furniture. Good communication lessens the chances of scratches and scrapes and our crew did a really good job. We would recommend 916 Movers. read more

Good move in the time of Covid-19. They were flexible in rescheduling my move multiple times, as the sale of my home had been a moving target. Showed up early and worked quickly. They wrap fragile furniture in plastic and not a single item was damaged or walls dinged. These guys know what they are doing. They placed all my furniture as directed in the new home. Guys were respectful and hardworking. Price was a great value for moving too! My only thing that I would have changed is too have all movers masked and gloved. Only one of the four in the crew was masked and gloved. I didn't ask them to wear masks and gloves, so that's honestly on me. If you want that for your move I suggest you ask and I'm sure they would be happy to comply. Honest, good moving company. I highly recommend. read more

Steve was quick to respond with a very reasonable quote. He even called day of to let me know the crew was going to be late - but they actually arrived on time. The guys were polite, speedy, and handled all of furniture with care. They moved a few items around for us at our new home, which was very helpful since I have lower back issues which limit my ability to lift things heavier than 15lbs. Very professional and courteous. They did a wonderful job moving my family from one assisted living facility to the another. They carefully wrapped and disassembled furniture when necessary. They also tied down the boxes and furniture in the truck to prevent anything shifting during the drive. It was a seamless move. We planned them out about two weeks ahead for the to arrive in Folsom for our move to El Dorado Hills. They showed up a few minutes early, we were glad and all ready for them to start, they wasted no time and got right to it. We had a heavy safe which they agreed to move before hand, they moved it without issue. It was a three person team and they were professional, fast and careful with all of our things. I call these guys "MiracleMovers". I wish I could give them 10 stars! Aaron and his crew are the best. Pier 1 Imports had my queen size leather sofa delivered by a company they use. I was charged $89 to bring it to the door and $49 to bring it into the house because I have hard wood floors. The movers showed up on a rainy day and had no covering to protect the couch. Then they couldn't get it through the front door and tore the leather trying to get it in. They told me there was no way to bring the couch into the house. I called 916 Movers because they did an awesome job of moving me from Oakland to Sacramento. I'm leaving 3* review based on my customer service experience. First of all, they only did business via phone call, whereas I found a company that had an awesome and quite accurate online quoting tool. Anyways, so they insisted on calling me in response to every single one of my emails, even though I really didn't want to talk again because the guy that I talked to 2 or 3 times had an unpleasant attitude. First of all I explained that I had a 1,400 sq ft house but because I had purged most of my old furniture that they couldn't do my estimate based on a normal 1,400 sq ft, 4 bdrm 2 bath house. I literally had only ONE bed and ONE dresser and NO couch or dining set, among other facts. So even though there's a 4 hour minimum, I said I didn't expect them to spend the full 4 hours moving since I was only moving a three minute drive down the street, but that I could be wrong and it could take 5 hours. The guy on the phone was like 'what makes you think that?!' or something to that effect. Then I proceeded to list the few large items that I had to move. I mentioned the four raised garden planters and he was like 'we can't move those, I don't want dirt in my truck' to which I responded that they would be empty and rinsed out. Then I was like 'what a about the BBQ grill?' and he was like 'I don't want it dripping all over my truck'. Then he proceeded to tell me they would not move ANYTHING that wasn't in a box; including garden supplies. Despite his offputting personality I booked the service because they had great ratings. However, the move date was postponed due to the loan processors delay. Meanwhile I accidentally happened across another company while searching for a quick move of 3 large items to my brother's house. Not only did this company have an absolutely awesome job estimating application, but they were willing to communicate via email and they were MUCH more pleasant when I did talk to them on the phone and they were FAR more lenient as to the 'we can only move stuff in boxes' policy. Also they only have a 2 hour minimum. The 916movers guy is SO unpleasant to deal with that I am amazed they get so many jobs. FYI this was my 1st time hiring movers.... So I am by NO means an expert. But based on that guy's tone I would NEVER deal with 916movers when I found such a more pleasant company to deal with. Maybe he's going through things. Maybe he's used to dealing with males. I don't know, but I wasn't impressed. read more

Immediately, upon entering my home they introduced themselves and I was at ease. Like the professionals they are the move was handled swiftly, in an organized manner and timely. Each one of them were respectful and also very helpful. At one point I needed help in my wheelchair up a slight incline and lo and behold I was helped! I've gotten hosed previously by movers so made sure to do a little research on this one. I saw that 916 Movers were highly rated so scheduled with them for my move this past weekend. Great decision! They showed up right on time and all three of the guys were polite, friendly and very conscientious. They were extremely careful with my goods and very efficient. The move was finished earlier than I anticipated and they made sure to have me to do a final walk through to make sure everything was in its place. I've been struggling with a severely pinched nerve in my back and have been very limited in my ability. They even loaded and unloaded my pickup truck with breakable a and other items that were not permitted on the truck. I could not be happier with the service and price and would absolutely recommend them when you are in need. read more

Basically whoever I spoke with said that my move would take longer than I think it would, and he was going to charge me more than another company that I ended up going with. I even told him that all of our stuff was ready, boxed up, and by the door, and he still said the same thing. Customer service is part of the job, so don't just tell me that my move is going to take almost twice as long as I think it will. The company I went with did the move in the time I estimated and for cheaper than 916Movers. Plus, I'm not sure how organized they are because they didn't even remember that I said no to them already, and then they called me to see if I still needed help. I started talking to them on the phone because they were available the ideal day I wanted to move, but after the phone call, the day alone wasn't worth going with them for their business. I've had better interactions with same day movers. I'm sure they're great for local moves, but I can only speak of my experience. read more

I've never hired movers before and was very apprehensive about the process, but I was referred to 916Movers by a coworker who stated they did an excellent job with his move. When we called to see availability, Steve was quick and to the point about moving costs, he also allowed us to book in advance (we called about 1.5 months before the actual move). I did not like that there was no email or paper confirmation of the appointment, only a verbal agreement. I was worried that he would cancel at last minute and leave us hanging, but he didn't disappoint or flake, he called a few days before to confirm the move. The gentlemen who did the physical move were exceptional. They arrived on time, positioned the truck to where it would be the most efficient in the apartment complex, and never wasted time. They were nice, professional, and efficient (I don't think I can emphasize that enough). Living in an apartment complex there was no choice but to block other vehicles, but when another resident needed out, they were able to move the truck and reposition within 5 minutes. During the move they broke a bookcase, but they completely owned up to it and offered different options to get it fixed. It was an old bookcase and made of plywood (which is probably why it broke, not them). I still appreciated that they offered solutions and were quick to do so. Other than that, everything was flawless. I will definitely recommend and use this company for future use. read more
