I normally don't write reviews unless I had a horrible experience, or an amazing one. This was the WORST manicure experience I've had. I bought a Groupon for 2 manicures. I had to book my appointment 2 weeks in advance, as they said they were all booked up. I expected the place to be super busy. The truth is, they have only 2 or 3 nail technicians, so appointments are hard to get. Even with booking my appointment 2 weeks in advance, I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time (and I got there early) to start my manicure, because the technician was doing someone else's nails and gossiping, taking breaks to check her cell phone, taking phone calls etc. while "finishing up" this person's nails. She was the only one working, aside from the person who takes appointments at the front desk. Once my manicure started, the gel didn't start close to the nail bed, and the technician continued to take phone calls, stop to text, etc. This made my appointment take FOREVER! I definitely won't be going back to 94 West Salon for my 2nd manicure. read more

I bought a groupon for here twice but would only consider it an average gel manicure. It is almost impossible to get an appointment and the women doing my nails didn't know how to do any designs. I paid extra so I could get a design and she had to keep doing it over. I finally gave up and told her to just do something she knew how to do. I felt everyone was nice and it's really close to my house but when I couldn't get an appointment for over a week I gave up on this place. read more

I would not recommend this place. I went here because i had a groupon for full highlights, cut and blowout. My stylist was really nice, but I was not happy with my results. My highlights start at the tip of my root, theres absolutely no blending and it looks beyond fake. She also chopped off way more than I asked. My hair went almost halfway down my back and now is just a little below my shoulders. If you want your hair to come out nice then do not come here! read more

I have now visited 94 West three times, because, contrary to what I'm about to say (to explain a 2 star review), their pedicure was AMAZING and the gel manicure was pretty well done. It is what kept me going back, but I will not be returning for the following reasons: 1. The wait. Every time I've been there, I've had an appointment. Every time, my services began AT LEAST thirty minutes late. This happened three times so it wasn't just a fluke. They schedule poorly. 2. The SMOKE. So gross. You go to a spa/salon expecting a nice, relaxing, peaceful atmosphere, but the employees go outside and smoke with the door open, and it wafts through the entire salon. I came for a pedicure, not cancer! So unprofessional. 3. Ridiculously priced add-ons. First I should say that the prices are generally good for what you get. The pedicures are 40 minutes of bliss and only $25. But I was recently told that they charge $10 to remove gel manicure-- even if they put it on! I've had gel done at several spas and no one has ever charged to remove the gel polish from my fingers, even if it was put on elsewhere. For $10, you can have your gel removed at another spa AND get a new (normal) manicure, so this is simply outrageous. That said, I do not recommend 94 West. There are plenty of other local options for nail services without a half hour wait, a side of carcinogens, and a $10 fee to remove gel polish. read more

Absolutely horrible The two hair stylists do not know how to highlight hair, and do not know how to highlight dark hair. My highlights look nothing like the picture I showed them when I got there, they were very rude. My highlights have a very red and orange tint to them- which I did not ask for. When I expressed my concern and dissatisfaction, The stylist walked away from me and told me she did not have time, and the other stylist screamed at me on the phone, told me I did not know anything about hair since I did not go to "hair school" and then she hung up the phone. My highlights are terrible- waste of money. This is not just a one time mess up on their part, they messed up my friend's highlights too. Would never recommend this place. Spend a few extra bucks and go somewhere nice. this place might be good for nails but it is SPECTACULAR for take out suggestions! They have a whole file of menus. read more

Bought a Groupon for this salon over 3 years ago and have been going ever since! I absolutely love the manicurist Dawn! She is always polite, courteous and does an awesome job on my nails no matter what I ask her to do. I'm a nurse and my schedule can be very crazy at times and Dawn has always been accommodating to me to make appointments, even coming in on her days off or late nights, no questions asked! I bought a Groupon back in 2013 for shellac manicure and have been going ever since. I make all my appointments with Dawn every 2 weeks. Dawn takes great care of me. She has opened the store early for me, has made rescheduling flexible, tries new designs/stamps, suggests colors and designs, as well as taking the time out to do my daughter's nails when she comes with me. The best part is that I consider Dawn a friend and know that if I need anything I can always ask her! You should DEFINITELY make an appointment with her. You will not be disappointed. read more

Great experience with groupon. Had never been to 94 west salon and went for full highlights, a cut and deep conditioning treatment. Not many reviews of this place but it's a very clean, bright and cozy salon. My hairstylist was terrific. So friendly, made me feel right at home and was professional. I am more than pleased with how my hair turned out. Highly recommend & would absolutely return. read more

The receptionist is extremely rude and gives you an attitude for calling. I bought a Groupon and they had only one option to give me for an appointment which would not work into my schedule. I would not recommend this salon based on how they treat their customers. read more

I went here because I bought a Groupon for a mani/pedi. This was the most mediocre manicure that I have ever received. The polish did not start at the nail bed, so the polish line is going to grow very quickly. I don't like the shape of the nails either, and they're not very even. The people that work here are lovely; I just question my technician's abilities/skill level. read more

definitely wouldn't recommend this place I think its a very poor environment. Purchased the groupon online for full highlights. My highlights were done quickly so I though I would be in and out fast until the color was so wrong it needed to be corrected 2x. The blow out was so generic I could have don't better at home and now that I am styling my hair myself I am seeing how horrible the hair cut was. The toner wast even applied evenly and I have about 3 different colors in my hair... after when i washed my hair die was coming out... never have I ever seen color wash out when it was done at a salon. The environment was uncomfortable as the owner continuously scolded one of the employees and the owner was nagging..... I had to listen to her complain for 4 hours... I will never be back and I wouldn't recommend it at all sorry! read more

Have been going here since I bought a groupon for my hair . Happy with my color and cut . Every month since I started going here there has been a special , single process color with free haircut . I say it again EVERY time , today its 43.00 more !!! If your offering a special every month you should tell the customer when they make there appt that's a huge difference . read more
