I showed her an image of the nail art I wanted and she did so good! They worked with me to pick the correct colors and she checked in with me throughout the service to make sure I was happy. I've gotten countless compliments on this set! If I lived near this would be my go to spot. They are a bit pricier than other places around, but since it lasted three weeks without ANY chip or peeling it is worth it! I go here but want to stop going here....I am so bummed at this most recent experience. They changed ownership, raised prices and the service went downhill. I don't want to name the individuals but I do think the owners need to do some quality control and get back to basics. My services were so rushed that my nail technician who typically does an amazing above and beyond job left rough sharp edges and my gel dried thicker in some places vs others on my finger nails. It was so not like her but she was 30 min late for my appt and then had someone else after me even tho it was late in the evening so she was rushing to get me done and she didn't achieve her typical perfection. This visit was very disappointing. The woman who did my pedicure had no experience or was so done with working at the end of the day she was sanding off my toes and the skin on my toes off with the metal drill bit. This was the worst pedicure I ever had for $63. I did say that the drill needed to be slowed she didn't understand and finally when the owner walked by I explained this wasn't working because I was getting hurt. The tech changed the drill bit for a few minutes and shortly after went back to the metal one. She didn't cut the cuticles or clean out the sides which is what was my typical experience was here. I had so much anxiety that I was going to lose a toe in the process this ruined the self care aspect. I've been a loyal customer of Franklin Nails & Spa for years, but since the new owners took over, the scheduling policy has changed unfairly. I called to book a regular manicure with my usual technician, and was told that their top technicians no longer schedule regular manicures -- you can only book them for top services. Instead, I would have to walk in and see if they were available, while other services can still be scheduled. This policy feels discriminatory, inconsistent and frustratin. As a long term customer getting weekly manicures with my regular stylist, I was told by the owner/ manager that I could no longer make appointments with her! Stylists would only work on gels and fill-ins- not "regular " manicures. I could either walk in and if she were free I could use her. Otherwise I had to make appointments with the "Spanish girls" who do pedicures - they can't do what the stylists do! This is really unacceptable, and is insulting both to me and the "Spanish girls " If I wanted to use my regular girl I would have to pay $25 for the manicure! Instead of $17. The frequency of my visits equals the money taken in by gel appointments which occur every 2-3 weeks! I will not return to this salon! read more

THIS PLACE GAVE ME HORRIBLE FUNGUS!!!!!! Here is the owner trying to gaslight me into thinking my experience never happened! Let me describe in detail: I was at the pedicure chairs all the way in the back, where there's only 2 side by side and no other chairs nearby. The woman doing my pedicure cut me, the woman I was next to can attest to this fact as I've already contacted her. Both my technician and the technician working next to her acknowledged my cut, saw me bleeding and in pain, and after sprayed something on it continued the service. My last pedicure was at your establishment in March as I've been too embarrassed to go anywhere else because of the state of my toe. So I'm not sure where else you think I could've gotten this. I do have a diagnosis from my doctor and had to have my toe nail ripped off and sent to a lab where they confirmed. Don't you dare try and tell me this didn't happen. Not anything like I asked for, bad quality work, pretty disappointed. I went here for the first time because of the positive reviews and recommendations, and my experience started off odd. When I walked in, everyone looked at me and then looked away and went back to doing their work, which does make sense, but no-one was at the desk to ask about my appointment. I pushed that away after I was sat down and given color options, only after 5 minutes of standing awkwardly at the door. When the lady sat in front of me, I showed her the picture and she said okay and that she can do it. She did a UV Gel fill on me, when I asked for a completely new set. I'm not sure about how this salon prices things, but I paid $60 for this fill in. When I left, my nails were very round and bubble-like. Very bulky on the top and shorter than what I'd wanted. There was polish on the skin around my fingers and when I went home, I filed down the edges. My nails are all different shapes, uneven, and the length is different on each nail. There are ridges and bumps along the top of the nail, which the picture doesn't properly capture. I know too well not to fully expect a replica from a nail picture off of Pinterest, but I wasn't expecting this bad of a flop. read more

After moving to Wayne from Bergen County about a year ago, I've been searching for a go-to nail salon. I've tried about 5 different ones in my area (all found on Yelp) before venturing further away. I called the day before for an appointment for a full gel set with extensions and a pedicure. The manager on the phone was able to fit me in, no problem. When I arrived, there was a hand sanitizing station right at the front door. I was also asked to wear gloves while selecting my color. Steve, the manager was SO helpful and worked to find my exact color after showing him a picture on my phone. Customer service was top notch. I got the Shea butter pedicure ($45) that included a nice massage. Jenny did my manicure - a full gel set with extensions ($120). I hadn't had my nails done since pre-Covid so she had a lot of maintenance to do. But the manicure came out great. She took her time and was quite meticulous about the shape and length - which I certainly appreciated! There are dividers between each station as well as a sneeze guard between you and your manicurist. Everyone in the salon was wearing a mask throughout my visit and I felt very safe. I went to grace and she was fab! I have gel, she was so gentle with removal and really took her time with the design. This place looks very cluttered when going inside and they reuse nail files and do not clean tools, do not go here while they seem friendly and nice. The place is dirty. After waiting 10-15 minutes to be acknowledged, the manager blatantly overlooked us and offered services to the customers behind us in line. Came here last week and received a dip powder manicure/15 minute massage accompanying it. Nails looked and felt great, I'm on about 8 days and they look brand new, environment felt comfortable, welcoming, and clean. Decor was modern, the staff were accommodating. I will be back!!! My pedicure was pricey and not good. They tried to charge me adult prices for my niece, $10 for her to get a nail design on 2 nails and I had checked when I bought her the gift certificate as to what the prices were. My pedicure lasted maybe 30 minutes with a weak attempt at massage. My gel manicure was ok but my nails were filed uneven. Rarely have I ever been so impressed with an establishment within minutes of walking in. Franklin Nail is certainly the exception to this rule! I don't live nearby, but stopped in after a doctors appointment for a quick pedicure. The staff was so friendly & accommodating that I ended up adding foot reflexology to my pedicure because I was immediately so relaxed! The pedicure was perfect & the foot reflexology massage was unreal!!! Before he finished I inquired about having a nail fixed (1 broke after a recent manicure elsewhere) but then opted for a full fill-in. WHILE I was getting my nails done I received a chair massage from the same employee (Joe) who did the foot reflexology. WOW. My nails look perfect, I felt more pampered and relaxed than ever and the staff just couldn't be nicer! The establishment is VERY clean and no "nail salon odors." This is the most wonderful nail salon I have ever been to. The manager, Steve, really takes pride in his salon and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. When I first started going here and bringing my daughter, he wrote her name down under my account so he could say hi to her each time she came. Then one day I brought my 3 year old son and he wrote his name down too! He's so personal and that's very important to me as it obviously is to him. Grace and Joanne do a FANTASTIC job. I like getting designs done on my nails and having very different looks and the two of them can do anything. If your nail is chipping, they fix it. Marble, matte, glitter...you name it. They also use an amazing gelish nail repair coat prior to the base coat for gel manicures that has made my nails grow longer and stronger than ever- also free of charge which sealed the deal for me! Like I said- Steve puts in the extra effort to get and keep clients. The masseuse, Jay is phenomenal. I have never had a better massage at any salon in my life! Whether it's an hour massage on the table in the back or a 10 minute massage in the chair while getting a mani, it's always an amazing experience. The overall atmosphere is clean and always happy. The owner Steve knew my name after just one visit and is very friendly. The prices are a little more than I am used to but they have a reward system and a few coupons. I could not wait to give this review. This was the best pedicure I have ever had. Rubi did my pedicure and not only are my feet the softest and smoothest they have ever been but the 10 min massage was amazing not just a foot rub but a real massage that took about 10 pounds of stress and aches off of me. The salon is also very clean and they really practice great sanitation there. Yes it was pricy, $85 for the green tea pedicure with gel polish, but it was worth every penny.
