Don't judge a book .... Stopped here on an early leaf peeping ride through the area. It doesn't look like much and it's hard to find the door inside but once you're in you're good. Great food. Looks can be deceiving. Tucked into a gas station is a stopping place for a meal. Walk in past the convenience section and you will find a homey little restaurant. We hit it up for breakfast and had a filling meal. The French toast was a little skimpy so they lost some points for that. But the individual dog bones for sale regained a few. The bathroom seemed like a last minute addition and they've get to invest in a sign though it was reasonably clean. All in all not a bad stop. read more

Stopped here twice in two days while taking a neccessary trip up to northern Maine with my dad. On the outside it looks like a regular gas station but dont judge this place by what you see. Inside a door takes you into the 95er diner. A very casual place, clean, with plenty of seating and super friendly staff. Our waitress took our drink orders and waited patiently for me to order my food. She even helped me with my decision. They have a good sized menu and I'd love to try the breakfast sometime as I've heard it's great. The first day I had chicken fingers. These are not frozen fried chicken. They are fresh, thin, crispy and perfectly cooked pieces of chicken. They were not a bit greasy and tasted delicious! They even have honey, my favorite chicken tender dip! Dad had beans and hot dogs. The rolls here are so good we asked for extras! The next day we had the same waitress. I had the haddock nuggets. The haddock is also fresh, not frozen. They have just fried haddock as well as the nuggets. Both are the same size. I chose nuggets because I like the smaller pieces. Everything was cooked perfectly. The fish was so good and the tartar sauce was very good, too. Dad had meatloaf which was huge and he said very good. I couldn't pick a favorite out of these two as both were amazing. Its probably for the best it's so many hours away. My only regret was that I was to full for dessert. read more

This place is an unexpected gem. I was in the area and ended up being early, so I decided to stop in for breakfast. I am so glad I did. They were busy-just one waitress for about 12 tables. I had to wait a few, but the waitress was friendly and quick once my order was in. I ended up with a breakfast special with a biscuit, eggs, ham, and gravy. It was so good-pure comfort food! I've had less impressive food in much "nicer" establishments. For a diner inside an old gas station it is unbelievable! There was a selection of pastries that seemed popular, but I was so stuffed I will have to try them next time. read more

This place is AMAZING! I have been going here for 36 years. We stop on our way up to Island Falls Maine for breakfast every year. Since going there we got in touch with our normal waitress, Shannon. Shannon is by far one of the most hardworking, biggest heart waitress have ever met! Service here has never been horrible. Year after year everything is wonderful. The food has been great as well. No disappointments ever. The pancakes are fluffy, eggs are cooked well, the breakfast sandwich checked all my boxes. The fruit salad is fresh and nicely presented. The large pancake is just that large... of and fluffy. Pricing is very very reasonable. You have to go here! read more

During this pandemic, do not go to this market/diner. I had to stop in on my way to work one morning and not one person was wearing a mask. The person working there, nor any of the patrons - there were too many people inside and not ONE person had a mask (I was the only one wearing a mask). My sister loves to get breakfast here on Sundays, but since that day, she has stopped. read more

Food here use to be a very wonderful thing at the 95er. But this evening has showed me, that management might want to focus on quality vs cost effective. My burger wasn't Well Done, but how would the cook know. The waitress never asked how I wanted the burger, but asked one of the guest with me. My first set of home cut fries were all cold. So I asked for a second, and was given curly. Well as you will see from the photo a good portion of the second round was still undercooked and could still feel where they were pre frozen. On top of that, me and my guest weren't asked if we wanted any dessert. Again this was such a wonderful place for food, but clearly good things never last. read more

The 95er is a much needed staple in this area, loved by the locals. I was born and raised about 45 minutes north of here and would stop by on occasion when traveling through. It's located right off interstate 95. I live in Portland now, but still visit Lincoln to visit my grandmother. When I asked her where she wanted to go for our Easter meal, she quickly said the 95er. Half of the building is a quick stop market to accompany the gas station. The other half of the building is a restaurant that gives off a small town diner feel with 4 person booths. I came on Easter Day with my parents and my grandmother. All four of us loved our meals. (+) I had the meatloaf special. It came with mashed potato and fresh carrots. It was delicious. I ate half of it and brought the other half home for dinner. (+) My grandmother and father had fresh fried scallops. They both said they were cooked perfectly and they both finished their meals. I forgot what the sides were, I think fries and cole slaw. Both of their plates were clean though. (+) My mom had an open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potato and fresh carrots. She loved it. Brought half of it home for dinner. Don't let the outside appearance of being a truck stop deter you from stopping here if you're in the area. It's actually a great little diner with good food. Great prices too. We didn't get dessert but they had excellent looking pies on the menu and on display. read more

Don't let the exterior scare you away. Food was great. I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich which was cooked perfectly and had a great red sauce on it. Bun held up well to the sauce. Wife had the 95ah burger and enjoyed it with onion rings. Only found it from a map search on our way back from Canada but it was a great little diner. Ate at the counter and could hear the staff so it was lunch and a show. Quintessential Maine experience - brought back some great memories. read more

I stopped by the 95-er while on a long trip through Maine. The rstaurant has about a dozen booths, 3 of which were full. There was one waitress who easily took care of every table while providing great customer service. I ordered a rare steak with mashed potatoes for a side. A few minutes after ordering, the waitress returned with some warm, freshly baked bread, which was excellent. The steak came out a short time later. Over the years I have found that orderiing a rare steak outside of a stealhouse is normally a crap-shoot; sometime you get tare, but most of the time it comes out medium-rare or medium. This steam came ourt perfectly rare. The pportion was decent, at about 10 or 12 ounces. The flavor was good, and because it was properly cooked it was very juicy. The potatoes were nothing to write home about. But at $10.95 this steak was amazing. Overall, the 95-er gets 4 stars for the great service (I wish I remembered the waitresses name.. She was mid twentiea and cute, if that helps) and the great steak. read more

Great diner! Almost all the food is homemade. If it isn't they will let you know. Most of the servers are excellent. Price is very inexpensive. Portion size is sufficient. Just off of exit 217, if you are travelling north you must stop in. read more
