The turkey sandwich was fantastic, plentiful, and smothered in gravy. I also requested extra cranberry sauce (always), which was perfect. The pot roast dinner started with the most excellent dinner rolls, fresh and warm, then moved to a giant portion of pot roast with gravy, real mashed potatoes, and a side of peas (also perfect). We would have stayed longer and ordered more, but it was time to go, and we were stuffed. Next time.

I was encouraged by my son to try the Newport Diner. I love diners for their speed and for the people who dine there, and the staff. So we went. I almost passed it, because from the outside it looks nothing like I was expecting. It looks like a house and blends in with neighboring homes. Love that. Inside the decor is simple. Comfy. The staff was responsive, alert, efficient, and VERY friendly. The food was amazing. Portions were generous. The coffee was great.
