I am updating my review once more. Despite the issues in the building in 2021, I have noticed a progression in a positive direction in recent months. While there may still be some short term rentals, I think the change can be attributed to management being a bit more aggressive in identifying the trouble tenants and taking some action. Lastly, I can't believe I am saying this but the rent hikes have also helped. To summarize, I once rated the building 5 stars (3 years ago), which quickly dropped to 1 star in 2021 and now we are back to what I feel is a fair rating of 4. - Front desk and maintenance are wonderful and protect the building - The location is perfect - Only requests are that gym is monitored more closely as I suspect non-residents are using it and the back of the building is cleaned up read more

I've lived in multiple cities and in multiple apartment buildings in the past couple years and nothing compares to how bad my experience was at 95 Wall St For starters, one of the doorman allowed someone to try to break into my apartment unit back in August 2025. I was abruptly woken up by a phone call from the lobby at 2AM which I initially ignored since I was sleeping and was not expecting visitors at 2AM (who is??). A couple minutes later, I heard my keypad being frantically messed with by a man I did not recognize outside who was trying to get in. I was extremely scared and luckily, he gave up after numerous attempts. 95 Wall St prides itself as a doorman building so if a 2AM phone call from the lobby to my unit went ignored, this man should have never been able to come up. Afterwards, I filed a report to the police and they came in for investigation. I also tried to follow up with management the following morning but they were extremely dismissive of my case and even said the problem was "my fault" since I did not speak to them in the "correct tone of voice". My bad for being upset that someone had tried to break into my unit and I was up all night panicked, I guess. I also tried swapping units or breaking my lease early as I didn't feel safe in my space but they threatened to charge me twice my rent and refused to let me move or break my lease otherwise I also lived near neighbors who would smoke and fight non-stop. The smoking led to me being unable to breathe in my own unit. The fighting would start around 7AM, where I had to hear a couple screaming and throwing things all day long. This led to it being nearly impossible to get any sleep in my own home. And what did management do when I complained? If you guessed "nothing", you would be correct! Elevators also never work properly so expect to wait 10-15 minutes just to get upstairs I had in-unit washer and dryer but the quality was so bad that the machines often destroyed my clothes. Else, they didn't work at all so there wasn't much point of having "in-unit" Hot water would also shut off abruptly without notice. I'm pretty sure this is an NYC building code violation but alas, nothing was done about this issue either despite complaints (what's new) On the topic of water, sometimes the water from my sinks would come out brown. I want to preface this review with the fact that most of the people who work in 95 Wall are decent and hard working. The doormen were nice, the individuals in the package room were exceptional, and while the management office is certainly not eager to address your concerns, ultimately they were fine. The problem with this building is the suits at the top of UDR. The suits filed this building with trashy tenants and gave their staff 0 tools to reign it in. Simply put, this building was a 4/5 deal until UDR turned it into a prison run by the inmates. 1) Tenant quality is abysmal. If you choose to lease here, part of any deal or lower rent you are likely being enticed by is that you are rolling the dice your neighbors will not be deranged. You could have a pleasant neighbor who has a stable 9-5 and enjoys peace and civility, or you could have complete degenerates who ruin your life. My neighbors on my right converted their apartment into a makeshift nightclub and my neighbor on my left would have emotional episodes about twice a month which led to her blasting Shallow at 5 am on Sundays. No amount of civility would get them to change their ways. It is truly baffling how few people in this building seem to work for a living. And what happens when you complain to management? Nothing really- They do their best but management has no recourse whatsoever to control tenants and the tenants know it. The security deposit here is $500, they apparently do not issue fines, and UDR will clearly not authorize evictions as it is an expensive process. When you ask the doormen to call your neighbors to ask them to please stop appropriating everyone's peace, they will mouth off the doormen or simply not pick up the phone. It's disgusting how little respect the tenants show the staff. 2) Too much crime for a "luxury building." During my first two years with this building, there were zero instances. During my last year, there was a tenant who got his throat slashed open, a guy overdosing, and a dead prostitute being rolled out in a barrel by two gang members. Management is always quick to send out vague emails that are to the effect of "you may have noticed police presence in our community, but there is no ongoing threat." Google this building and the first thing that pops up is a NY post article about a dead prostitute in a barrel. Quality public relations. Not even a week into the new year, I walked into the building to witness a police raid team in the lobby (drug dogs and a battering ram included!). Apparently, they were there to arrest a known drug dealer who was selling cocaine out of his apartment. Seeing the police in this building is not a rare occurrence. Police have told tenants the building is well known in their circle and that they come to the building all the time for noise complaints and fights and whatnot. Ultimately this issue is a result of the degenerate tenants that UDR accepted to keep down their vacancy rate; all of this crime comes from the tenants and their guests. Lastly, unless you walk in holding a machete, chances are the doormen will not ask who you are when you enter the building. The building is too over-occupied for them to know everyone and they do not want to be accused of prejudice by stopping some people and not others. Remember: two gang members managed to roll an oil drum with a woman's corpse in it past a doorman. 3) Building is over-occupied To get approved to live in this building you need two things: a w2 and a pulse. That's it. Don't have a sufficiently large income on that w2? Don't worry, they will allow you and 15 roommates to sardine it up in a 400 sqft studio. The building also leases a portion of its rooms to King's College, so just more sardining. The building has over 500 apartments, and each apartment is averaging at least 2 people. This amount of tenants places a huge burden on the building's four elevators. To be fair, the elevators have been working recently. That said, when they go out, it is actually comical how bad it gets. To handle 1,000+ tenants, all their Grubhub deliveries, and all the white guys coming in with cases of white claws going to the roof, this building needs every elevator it has. Over the summer two elevators went down and the line would loop out the door. Management prefers the "don't ask don't tell" approach to problems with the building, so they will never tell you when an elevator is down. You get to discover that on your own when you have to wait 10 minutes and are late to work. Like the elevators, the amenities are overused. There is no regulation of the roof and one tenant can easily invite 10 frat bros on Saturday to lay claim to it. 4) Airbnbing I did not care about this as much as other tenants, but illegal Airbnb/short-term rentals in this building occur constantly. You will frequently see people coming in and out with suitcases asking for keys. Consensus is management is in on it, so they won't crack down on it. read more

Disclosure: I was renting an air bnb from this building, but I will only discuss the things that pertain directly to this building (and would effect you renting here). To start off with, the ONLY positive thing, I loved the location. It is in FiDi, you are close to several restaurants and bars, including Seaport and Battery Park. You are also close to the M15 bus stop, the Brooklyn Bridge, and are living above a Starbucks, Bank of America, and 24/7 Duane Reade. With that being said, several homeless people are in the area- one aggressive one sleeps on the bench right outside (he's been there for the past 5 months I've lived here) and he WILL yell at you; several others sleep inside the BOA every night. There is a dog run near you under the FDR, and a few patches of grass right outside (all you can ask for in NYC). When I saw the lobby of this building, with all the high ceilings and the chandelier, my first thought was class and luxury- and I feel I received the complete opposite of that living here. The building itself is old and falling apart. 99% of the washers and dryers don't work, so you have to pay to use the ones on the 16th floor. The parts are so old that they are unable to repair the W&D's in the units; the same applies to your dishwasher. When you submit a maintenance request, it takes DAYS for anyone to come. It's impossible to request a repair take place while you're at home (for example, if you have an animal), it will never get done. You have to be ok with them entering your unit "whenever they get time". I've even resorted to paying the maintenance guys, to try and get things fixed faster, but that doesn't even work. They do have a convenient in-house dry cleaner (on the 2nd story), I've never had a problem with any of my clothes, they do a nice job. There are no outgoing mailboxes in this building and you will have to walk to the post office to mail out anything (despite their massive mail room). There is a gym on the top floor, part of the reason I picked to lived here was there were Peloton bikes- both of which are old, missing weights, and that the seats don't stay up (impossible to finish a class on them). The gym itself is dirty and run down. There is a concierge 24/7, which is ok for security and great for storing packages, but the packages end up being a hassle; sometimes they are kept on the 1st floor, but usually the 2nd floor. You can only pick up packages from 8-5:30 pm, Monday-Saturday, from the 2nd floor, which is REALLY inconvenient if you have non-traditional hours of work. It is also frustrating when you have medications shipped that in bright orange say "PLACE IMMEDIATELY IN THE FRIDGE", the concierge and office assure you 10X that they will be placed into the fridge on the 1st floor, and yet they are sent to the 2nd floor and stuck there for days until you can get them. Back to the concierge, some of them are just NOT friendly. One guy refuses to greet me, every single time. Another one (a temp that is there quite often), refused to let me use the emergency key when I locked myself out of my apartment. I explained my keys and license are in my apartment (he saw me walk out of the building to walk my dog) and still made a fuss over giving me a key. Luckily I realized I had my ID on my phone (that was somehow in my back pocket) and was able to get the key. My question is, if they have my license IN the computer system, why did he not just look it up, and visually identify me? If the concierge is unable to help you when you lock yourself out, what is the point of them even being there!!! They're useless. My neighbors in this building have been AWFUL. They blare music at all times of the day, with no regards to others, and I have called to report them to the office on several occasions. Based on the numerous ill events that have taken place in this building (do yourself a favor and Google search), I choose not to get involved with them. The hallways reek of weed at all times of the day and the carpets are old and dirty; I feel like I'm living in college again. Elevators take a longgggg time when using them during peak hours (contributed to slow elevators and an overcrowded building). The rooftop has been closed all winter so I am unable to review that. I filled out an apartment application with 95 Wall Street, Apartment 1417, on March 21, 2023, and paid a $20.00 Non-refundable Application Fee and a separate refundable (as stated in Application Terms and Agreements - Paragraph 5) $1000.00 lease-holding reservation deposit. On March 22, 2023, I needed assistance with uploading supporting documents to the building's portal (which is repeatedly bugging and not working properly) to move forward with my application. I got on the phone with Ryan from the 95 Wall Leasing Office, who refused to help, was verbally abusive towards me, stated that he will just "cancel the application" on the phone, and abruptly hung up. The building stated they canceled my application but has refused to send physical documentation of the cancellation. Furthermore, despite canceling my application, the building has not refunded the 1000.000 reservation deposit. They stated they "credited back" the $1000.00 to my card but also refuse to provide physical documentation of the refund. I have made numerous attempts to contact the building to speak with someone on the phone to resolve this distressing issue but have been subject to continuous disparaging behavior from the building. I've spent over 6 weeks now in agonizing stress and anxiety, because UDR and 95 wall street specializes in fraud and scamming of innocent people. Again, my application was yet to be processed, no lease was signed, and this was a reservation deposit that the building liable to return to the applicant if the application is canceled by the building. This entire process has been outrageous, unfair, unlawful and quite frankly: the highest form of fraud. I was having multiple issues with some aspects regarding my transition to my new unit, and Kevin was there every single time I walked into the office in need of assistance. He handled my issues accordingly in a kind and friendly manner every single time. Despite my coming in almost every day one week, he never failed to assist me with a smile and an answer that reassured me that my issues would be resolved. He also maintained a cheerful attitude that kept the interaction lighthearted which I loved. I lived at 95 Wall for 5 years when COVID hit, my salary was reduced and I moved out with two months left on my lease. I paid as much as I could, communicated with the office and sent paperwork documenting my job status. That was in May. Never heard another word until two days ago. Received a call from debt collectors, collecting more than what was owed with additional fees, not accounting for my security deposit and uncompromising on a payment plan. They threatened to nail my credit as well as my father's. They told me UDR at this point would not negotiate. Businesses are in business to make money. Hopefully ethically. Not the case with UDR. I am jobless and ended up putting the balance on 3 credit cards. Beware. This management company is ruthless. read more

Don't live in apartment 2202 or anywhere close to 2201. At least twice a month you will not sleep at all during the night, as the neighbor will blast loud music and scream until the early morning. It's currently 4:45 am and it's still going on. The tenant has lived here for 8 years and the management company can't do anything to remove him. So you know he's not going anywhere. Calling the front desk does nothing and calling the cops (which I've done ) only provides temporary relief...if at all. Apparently he received a letter from the management company formally presenting the complaint, but again... here we are. They've offered to move me to another apartment, but I just moved into my place. It's unfortunate because this place has potential and its being ruined by the tenants they're allowing to rent here. read more

I lived here for a year and had to leave for a few reasons: the elevators are SO slow. The walls are paper thin and many people in the building are party-ers. Maintenance staff is very nice but you have to hound them to get anything done. The office staff (Chris) is always away and never responds to emails. The wifi in the lounge does not work despite multiple emails and complaints from the residents. It was a good COVID deal, but now with prices back up, not worth the money. It is far from the luxury building it is advertised as. read more

I understand the building is old but they could do a better job with the upkeeps. Hallways are very dark and dirty at times. The washer machines are terrible, there are no ovens, they take forever to fix maintenance issues (if ever, you legit have to nag them), the floors in the unit are all messed up. The price you pay is luxury but I wouldn't say the building itself is. It feels like living in a dorm with all the college kids running around here. I'm on my 6th year and used to always give this building a 5 star rating, but it's unfortunately time to downgrade. I like my apartment and all of the staff is super nice, but otherwise this place has deteriorated pretty rapidly. It seems like there are too many people living here because the elevators are more crowded, the wait has increased, they break frequently and are generally pretty gross (same gum stuck to the floor for months and stuff splattered on doors for weeks). There is often trash left in public spaces, though the staff does usually pick it up quickly. The carpet near trash rooms and elevators needs to be cleaned more frequently (stains, spots). I've had repeat issues with people smoking in the building that were not resolved promptly. The gym has been consistently filthy (dust and hair balls everywhere, torn bench covers that should have been replaced long ago, dust stuck to sweat splattered on walls...). Non residents come and go freely (no security) and the quality of tenants has declined (e.g., the building recently made the news because an escort was left dead and decomposing in an apartment for days and carted out in a barrel by a known gang member). read more

The studio apartment's here are way overpriced at $3000-3500. These are rent stabilized apartments and some people are only paying $2000-2500 for the same apartments for another year and a half or more. First off, the walls here are too thin for words. I'm reading they converted this place from an old office. There is no privacy in these apartments. Your neighbors will hear you go to the bathroom, cough, etc. This is NOT like my friends other luxury apartments in the area. The appliances in the unit are all advertisements. They do NOT work when you move in and getting maintenance done is the opposite of what you think it will be. They will NEVER fix a thing. They will mark service tickets as complete without even stopping by and then yell at you if you argue to take them to court or something. Wash and fold in the city was WAY better than this! I end up using that anyway! The building is generally unsafe and without security. There are police here often. The managers, maintenance people, and door staff are not professionally trained and absurdity -- even deaths -- result in this building. They don't do anything for tenants and then act as though no laws or rules apply to them. The fitness room being open 24 hours is good, but absolutely no one cleans it. It is unsafe health wise during COVID in that fitness room. The barbecues up top are on the verge of looking like a fire disaster and unusable from all the muck and bacteria. The basketball court is used by whoever from the street wants to walk right past the doormen and hit 23 on the elevator button. No key swipes around the building -- nothing. All of this culture of laziness and unprofessionalism will end up biting you on the butt as a tenant. I thought I could go by a year without any issues by just saying nothing and keeping to myself, but the issues end up ambushing you. The building is more problematic than words will allow here. Overall, I would not recommend moving in here at the $3-3.5 price point for a studio. The studios are worth the 2,000-2,500 at best, and even then, you will be getting worse services from the landlord than a slum lord. read more

I moved in two months ago and very happy with the building and the area. Everyone working is so nice, friendly and extremely helpful especially Ryan, from the leasing team. If it wasn't for him I don't know where I'll be living right now honestly and I really wanted fi di and 95 Wall has one of the best locations because it's not stuck between the other buildings. Ryan helped me so much with the move in and paperwork and he was so nice when I was calling him with questions every other day. I don't know what people are talking about in the comments, haven't experienced any of it, surely there have been positive changes. Building is beautiful, I like that it has a dark aesthetic to it, also love the chandelier in my apartment. I also have washer/dryer inside the apartment, which is a luxury for a studio in Manhattan. read more

This resident bldg is a dump. Do not consider this bldg. dogs pooping in the hallways, elevators, outside the front entrance. Smells like a piss pan. Rude and trashy tenants. Smoking in stairwell is common. Gym has not been cleaned what seems for decades, dust, sweat, hair balls, rubbish is visible. Management is some frat boys whose solution is excuses and blame on others. Not real much of doers and problem solvers. Infuriating to think that people think it's okay for their dog to poop and pee in the hallways and elevators and do nothing about it. read more

Moving out next week and counting down the days. Do not even think about moving in here. I've paid over $3.3k for a studio for the past 2 years and have had to deal with the following - a 4+ month roof construction project which has cut off AC access for the building. It's currently 89 degrees and not able to use our AC - The construction noise is absolutely deafening and was completely random with no prior notice. The sounds of debris sounded like the ceiling was caving in and drilling was so loud I couldn't hear my zoom calls while wfh - Construction also caused 2 leaks through my light fixture, nearly causing an electrical fire plus the debris hitting my ceiling hit where one of my light fixtures is and caused the light to break and shatter a light bulb over my bathroom - I once had a leak coming through my light late at night and maintenance came and told me the only thing they could do was wait for the water to stop dripping and went into the hallway and got a smelly recycling bin that was being used by the floor and put that germy, smelly bin on the counter in my bathroom to catch the water. - When reaching out to management they simply said there was nothing they could do because it's a 3rd party. No offer to cut amenity fee or deduction in rent. No apology, just a "this is a necessary project and will be good long term" - It once took over 5 months to get a washer and dryer replacement when they broke and we're unusable. - Within those five months and at other times in my lease it took weeks to get responses to my maintenance requests. When complaining I was told that with the size of the building they could not address everything right away. They are understaffed and ill prepared to handle requests. - The building says they are pet friendly but require all residents to use a back alley entrance when taking dogs out, despite the back alley being extremely unsafe and disgusting. I once was chased down the street with my dog and also had to witness some truly disgusting things happening out there like people defecating by the door and rats coming from the trash by Duane Reade. You pay for the protection of a doorman building and then are looked down upon for using that amenity to keep yourself safe at night. - Neighbors are loud and inconsiderate. I had to live next to a neighbor that came home every night at2am and blasted music, threw things against the wall, screamed at his girlfriend and hosted parties until sometimes 10AM!!!! After several noise complaints nothing was ever addressed. The tickets were closed and noise continued. - Was once asked to fill out a survey about the building and if I would resign my lease. I listed several of these concerns and got a phone call from management basically gaslighting me that safety concerns weren't actually valid because and I quote, "we live in NYC, so it's actually worse in other neighborhoods like Brooklyn". - There's no oven in the apartments here which was sneakily not addressed during a tour of the building. You only have a microwave. - Package room is open 8:30-5pm Mon-Sat and you cannot get packages at other times outside of those hours. If you don't work from home, good luck! - The roof is one of the amenities that you pay for but they rent it out to be used by people who don't live in the building and closed during winter months so it's basically never actually usable. - The gym is packed and also basically unusable because machines are used and weights are missing because residents take them - Had a cockroach infestation in my cabinets and dishwasher - Elevators are slow and dangerous. Was once stuck in one for over 20 minutes. Whenever I tell another resident they have a similar story - I did not resign my lease and my apartment went on the market for over $4.5k. I currently pay $3.3k and even that is not worth the money. - Last but certainly not lease there was a murder in the building which management tried to sweep under the rug, despite being featured in the news Do not live here. It will ruin your mental health. read more

Our family recently leased at 95 Wall Street and I cannot say enough good things about the professionalism of the staff and overall application smooth process. Specifically, Mr. Kevin Stainback in the leasing office was an extremely pleasant and friendly interlocutor who patiently helped us navigate the process and overall move, which can be an extremely stressful time. Mr. Stainback went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of and all our needs and concerns addressed. Should you elect to leave at this amazing and beautiful property, I would encourage you to ask for Mr. Stainback by name. He will not disappoint! read more

I had a few experiences here that ruined it for me. For one, don't ever fill out the surveys they send you because they are not anonymous. A few months after we moved in, I filled out a survey that they sent to my email. In my survey I expressed my disappointment with a few interactions I had in the mail room. The next day I go pick up a package and the mail guy confronts me about what I wrote and goes into detail on specific things I mentioned in the survey. He then admitted that management had told him what I wrote and that he was very upset with me. Mind you, I never submitted a complaint regarding the incidents, I just thought I was submitting an anonymous survey in which they ASKED for feedback. I felt so uncomfortable and upset every time I had to pick up packages after that. I also called management to express how upset I was with their confidentiality and they didn't even care lol. The next thing I would like to highlight is the whole AC situation. The project was not completed on time and the entire building had no AC during a heat wave. It really was unbearable and unlivable. The best part is management sent a terrible "apology email". Funny because when they were doing repairs in the lobby they hosted a breakfast for residents, but when they create horrible living conditions, they barely even acknowledge it. It was actually hotter in the apartment than it was outside. The windows barely open so there wasn't even airflow. It was so bad I would've rather left my dog in a locked car on a hot day with the windows rolled up than my own apartment. When we confronted management they said "sorry for the inconvenience". How is this a luxury building and they get away with things like this? Least they could've done is offered refreshments in the lobby lol. Also would like to acknowledge the mail room hours. 8:30-5:30pm. Good thing I work from home because my boyfriend works from 7:30am-7pm in office and is never home in time to get his mail. Only good thing about this place was the maintenance staff and doormen (and woman). They were great and always so nice. Overall though, this place sucks. NO AIR CONDITIONING. I would say the first amenity that counts towards labeling a building 'luxury' would be AC. Like Nicki S. laid out in her comments below: it is OVER 80 degrees in the apartments as THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!! read more

Great building, very clean , safe and quite in my experience. Also great staff and amenities. I read the reviews about the building being loud but in all honesty welcome to nyc, if you want a beautiful building with amenities and service then chances are there are lots of people that live there and you may get a loud neighbor. This has not been my experience at all and all the covid protocol has been highly enforced. I never see people without masks and the elevators never have more than 4 people in them at a time. read more

95 Wall ST is a very well managed building, the property management takes very good care of the tenants and their requests... The front-desk personals are friendly and accommodating, the maintenance stuff keep the building clean. Love living at 95 Wall Street, especially the 24 Hours Gym. read more

This was my first apartment in NYC and I loved my three years here. Harold, from the leasing office, made the leasing process a breeze for me and my roommates, especially when we moved into a larger unit within the building. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. The doormen make an effort to get to know all their tenants, which really shows in their ability to know guests vs tenants, stopping all guests not with a tenant to check-in at the front desk. Being a twenty-something woman in the city, my parents were always impressed and thankful for the level of security they provided. The apartments are recently renovated with a ton of light and top notch appliances/finishes. Any issues we ever had with the apartment were resolved within 24 hours. The amenities are great and well kept. The rooftop includes grills, which we got a lot of use out of. The gym is open 24/7 and is on the top floor with natural light. The package room/valet offers some of the best prices and customer service around (Mark is the best!!). The only reason we're leaving the building is it does not offer units with the number of bedrooms we need now - otherwise we wouldn't have thought twice about renewing for a 4th year! read more

Management (UDR) is incompetent, sleazy and unorganized. They repeatedly fail to understand the concept of "client-centricity" or good client relations. This place is run like a hotel, not like a place where people live. You're better off around the corner at 2 Gold Street or anywhere else on Wall Street where the views are stunning, management is better, prices are better and the ambiance isn't one of a gloomy vampire cave. The apartments at 95 wall were built cheaply and poorly, so everything breaks often. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I lived at 95 Wall for 2 years including the Sandy evacuation, and cannot begin to count the number of problems, lack of solutions and headaches experienced during that 2 year time. The joy that filled my entire body when I handed my keys over and I knew that I would never have to go back was grandiose. I felt like a new person. 1. As I mentioned above, everything breaks often... AC, Shower, dryer/washer, cabinets (yes, the cabinet below the sink in the bathroom literally FELL OUT of the wall, TWICE, once onto my friend's foot) ..among other things. If you need something fixed, you better get your gloves out. Over 2 years, I had to call management over 4X per issue in order to have actually results. Everything was "fixed" poorly. If you call yourself a luxury building, and you charge ridiculous prices for your amenities, at least let us have a working shower. 2. "Dwell 95" is only concerned with one thing, your money. Not you, not your experience/comfort, the amount of money they can suck out of you, and the amount of money they can save by providing you with cheaply made appliances and awful repair service. Let me elaborate on the above.. 3. When I was unexpectedly hospitalized during my move-out date (8/1), and physically unable to move out (I was strapped to an I.V.), the management gracefully let my belongings stay in the unoccupied space (key: no one was moving in) at the low prorated month to month rent rate of $3450/month aka $112 per day (at least show some sympathy and charge me my normal rent - $3050 - for a light-less Studio, nonetheless) ... This is after 2 years of paying my rent on time and being a good tenant. They weren't losing any money and I wasn't living there, I just happened to get really sick on Saturday 7/27 and spent the week in the hospital. I had no choice but to wait until the weekend so that my parents could be off work, drive up from Pennsylvania and pack my things for the movers to come. So, from Thursday 8/1-Sunday 8/4, while un-rented, I was granted permission to have my things in the apt. In summary, my hospitalization = $450+ gain for UDR. Best of all, and this made me literally LOL, on our final statement the "Move-out Reason" was stated as: "Lifestyle Change." Hmm... I don't recall filling out any type of survey or questionnaire. Lifestyle change? You know what, they're right, my lifestyle has changed now that I live in an apartment with a management company that is kind, responsive and trustworthy. Having a place where you feel home/happy in NYC is crucial. In my opinion, you won't find it here. read more
