Stopped in for Christmas bags and tissue paper for my glambabies and kids--and wow, it was busy! Thankfully, they had enough staff working, so the line moved pretty fast. There was one irritated customer upset about a missing receipt, but after she noticed my very much fashion jacket (with a state patrol patch), she suddenly apologized Plot twist: the jacket is from JCPenney years ago, yet somehow people still think I work for state patrol. Humans crack me up. Daisy The cashier looked relieved once the situation passed, so I'll just say I saved the day They had everything I needed, prices were okay (for now), and there's plenty of onsite parking. It's also a great location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Daisy deserve the rest of the year off with pay and a raise after this. This place is terrible. Any other 99 cents only stores would be much better than this. I simply wanted to use the restroom and the one bathroom i was "able to use" was super dirty and looked kind of creepy to begin with. So when i asked an employee if she can open it she opened that same one and i mentioned that it was dirty she looked at me and basically said "that sucks, you wanna use it?" I said "no, may i use the other one" she just said no turned her back and left. Ridiculous. read more

This was a first for me. Cashier wasn't rude but she wasn't polite either. First she wasn't in her register, which, you know it happens. She apologized to whom seem to be her supervisor and she told her she didn't care. Then while she waited for me to slide my card and pay she proceeded to take her phone out to check something. Which it didn't take her to long to put it away. Just about the time that it took me to take out my wallet and card and do all the debit card process. Is just the principal of her job. She is the face of the store she greets everyone that comes in and essentially also the ones that pay and leave. I found it rude and inappropriate. read more

I checked out in Carolyn's line. Amazingly enough, she didn't speak one single word to me! Not even a simple "thanks." Carolyn exemplifies the true meaning of the ignorant employee. Understandably these types of stores don't attract top talent but surely someone brighter and friendlier than this poor excuse is out there willing to work! Still, it is not the best one I have been in, also some of the shelves are bare, not as organized but it will do the job. Less than 24 hours ago I purchased eater grass for a project. I ended up doing something else, so I came to return it. I have my receipt. They are refusing to give me my money back and only store credit because it is "seasonal". I had to dig to find this color. We are weeks away from Easter. Bad policy. I didn't like the way I was treated by the cashier around 8:45pm on 8/15/19 at this location. I came in to get my nephews a pack of cookies. I attempted to use my debit card which declined (I still don't know why because it had money on it) I only had a $100 dollar bill. I gave it to her and she through her hands up and said OH, I can't take that. I said you guys don't take hundred dollar bills, she replied not for one item. Now I can understand if she didn't have change but she didn't say that. Instead she made it look like I was trying to get over on her, while all the people in line behind me was looking at me like I was some type of criminal. From the actions of the two cashiers that I observed there it is apparent that they are over worked, stressed out or in need of some training or a refresher course in customer service. The line was extremely long and there were two cashiers at the front but the African American one appeared to be going on a break or getting off. It took about 10 minutes for another cashier (the one who didn't take my money) meanwhile someone in the line had come to the front to ask if they could open another register because there was about 10 people waiting in line. The cashier that was already there snapped at the customer saying she's coming right here. The best description of the cashier that treated my with poor customer service appeared to have a missing tooth on the left side or chipped. Sorry for this type of description but it wasn't until I got in my car that I decided to give this poor review, otherwise I would've gotten her name. read more

Woohoo! There is nothing better than wandering around when visiting a new place. Apparently, just by crossing the road, I had just left Riverside and entered Moreno Valley. I love it. Since the rain was starting and as I had mentioned earlier, that this massive mall was cut into spacious chunks, I had to run across the massive parking lot to seek shelter here. Might as well meander through the aisles of an inventory nightmare. Did I find something interesting? Why, yes indeed. Several Colgate Toothbrushes that I know was being sold at Target for at least four times the 99 cent pricetag. A small tube of adhesive similar to rubber glue. And Murine Eyedrops. My visit to SoCal had resulted in eyes that were slightly drier than usual so natural tears were a must. I walked out spending less than $5. Not a problem for a quick stop. Massive amounts of items from the smallest pushpins case to larger, like Halloween costumes and Christmas decorations. Great staff. Quick checkout. Did I mention the smiles? I was starting to get spoiled by Southern Californians. So friendly. read more

There could not have been a better place for a 99c store in Moreno Valley. It's right off the freeway, near a busy intersection for easy pull-up parking after leaving Costco, the mall, Winco, or just in passing by. They have everything here, even condoms! But don't use those for the nasty because they probably don't work and you'll be a daddy and mommy to which the 99c store will not take fault for your stupidity. The only downfall I see in this place is how dirty and messy it can get with kids taking things off the shelf to ask their parents to buy for them and then the parents throw it on the floor. Not exactly the store's fault but still sucks to walk around the store and get close to spraining an ankle on a dog toy on the ground. read more

Clean store. Well stocked. But what impresses me most is the cheerful and helpful attitude of the employees. From the stocker to the cashiers. I usually only go during the day so cant speak for all shifts but the ones I come in contact with during the day are awesome. read more

Huge store and pretty clean. Mostly non brand name items but once in a while, they do have them! and yes for 99cents! I am not a bargain hunter, but sometimes I do get lucky =D I usually get containers, small household things, toiletries, office supplies, small toys, and packaged snacks here. They have some produce, fruits and other refrigerated food items here as well. Good service. Not as organized as Target or Walmart but it is what it is. They sell things for 99 cents! I never knew that a discount store could have everything I needed! I bought my girlfriend a collection of neat items that I gave her for our 5-Year Anniversary. I know it sounds ghetto but the effect was better than I expected (she could not stop crying happy tears). It goes to show that you don't need to spend much to make someone's day extra special. I was pretty excited to check out this 99 cents store just because they recently opened. Store was pretty organized and clean so Im giving it 3 stars. What I dont get is why they all of a sudden carry items more than 99 cents. In my opinion it is false and decieving and need a name change from 99 CENTS ONLY to 99 CENTS OR MORE. I bought 2 halloween decors which cost double. Still bought it anyway bcuz it was cute lol. So be aware. Price will be located on item if it is more than 99 cents. read more

I'm a 99 cent junkie store, this is by far the best they have in the IE, it is clean and well stock. This 99 cent store used to be Circuit City, RIP =), I think that is why it is so big. Too bad I lived a distance away. read more

This place has great deals and even offers good customer service for being a .99 cent store. The store lacks some organization with products but it's still shopable. The 99 cents store need to change their name. It appears that they are slowly raising their prices to $1.99. What is really going on. I used to go there for little knick knacks. HUGE store with a huge selection and given the type of store, it's kept pretty neat, clean and organized. good job guys. I had to knock off a star though, weekend staff, 2 checkers? really? All registers should be open. Just a reminder, rule of thumb, more than 2 in line.....open another register and staff accordingly based on peak periods and days. Store stats will dictate that if you review them. ;-) read more
