There aren't many dispensary options in Malibu, but it doesn't matter because this one does such a good job!! The branding is so adorable. I love the name High Tide, and they have all ocean/mermaid themed branding that is really cute. The girl working was super nice and answered all of our questions. The selection was on the smaller side, but they have a lot of really great brands! It definitely expensive and California taxes don't help, but that's to be expected in Malibu. I would def go back and would highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. read more

The first thing I noticed was that it smelled really good inside. Not chemicals or funky air fresheners, just you old fashion ínstense. Loved the vibe inside and the staff was super knowledgeable and kind. The cases were all stocked full of a variety of different edibles, leaf and even new drinks I haven't seen before. CAUTION!!! ‼Don't buy from here!!!! I wasted over $130 (I used my 20% off coupon) on a ursa live resin smoothie dab, PUSH cart, and biscaki disposable. The dab they sold me was USED and DIRTY!!!! I am enraged because I was scammed from this dispensary. This is so nasty and unacceptable, why are they selling their customers used and returned products?! I called the store and the security answered the phone like bruh. He told me to come back with all of the stuff I brought but I live over two hours away (traffic) so it's very inconvenient plus I don't have the time. I was unable to climb the stairs because I am wheelchair bound. My driver went upstairs and one of the clerks came down to the car and suggested the edables that I bought. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I am impressed. I certainly will come back and give them my business. read more

Things have gone downhill here in the last few years. The budtender on duty when I went most recently lied about the products I was asking about and tried to sell my friend something that was the polar opposite of what we had asked for. Budtender told us the store did not sell the product I was asking for even though I had previously purchased the product I wanted from the store. Budtender could have been new, but either way, the budtender was rude and lied and told us the product was no longer available when it just was not available at the 99 High Tide store anymore. I easily found the product somewhere else in 2 minutes on my phone while standing in the 99 store. Sucks when you cannot even rely on the 99 High Tide staff to tell you the truth. I do not recommend shopping here unless you want to overpay for your weed products and get biased information from out-of-touch budtending staff --- everything 99 High Tide sells can be purchased somewhere else in Los Angeles for cheaper than it sells for at 99 High Tide. Only reason to shop here is if you're already in Malibu and do not have the weed you need. read more

She spent a lot of time with us, and was so great and easy going. They have a small but well curated selection and weekly specials. I want to deeply Thank the good people of 99 high tide who have really looked out for me and my significant other over the years. As locals/regulars they remember us, as well as our needs and preferences. They are educated about the products they carry and they truly care for the people they serve. Of that much we are convinced!. The raw fiddlers greens tincture in a ratio of 2:1 is so effective as an anti inflammatory, that I took 2 droppers every four hours in lieu of prednisone when I had full blown bronchitis. I had energy and was able to make a Target run & an errand or two before I had to hunker down & heal. It is a game changer for symptoms of my vasculitis and feeling a bit more balanced mentally. (Always a plus with or without a chronic illness!) I'm including a picture of the card that came with a sample of the tincture in my 4/20 bag of 2018. Good info! I'm extremely happy with my experiences with 99 High Tide, their staff and, their Mermaids. After decades of reliance on Ambien for sleep, I asked the owner if cannabis can act as an alternative. His honest answer was yes but I'd need to play with the type and dosage to achieve sleep and avoid a hangover the next morning. His knowledgable Mermaids had me try a sample and it worked on the first night. On my next visit they offered another similar product called Sleepy Time. One tiny drop under my tongue, along with dissolving melatonin and hour before I plan on sleep turns out to be the perfect fit for me. My adult stepdaughter has tried the same plan and viola, it works for her too. Also, during this stressful, CV19 crisis, their protocol is very reassuring. I would have given 5 stars BUT....the so-called mermaids all were either totally stoned or had zero personality. Maybe both. No smiles and no personality. I felt like I was bothering them and they seemed totally uninterested in answering any of my questions. The only friendly people I met who even acknowledged my existence were the guy at the front desk who was very friendly and another guy with shaved head. One of them was named Steve. I'd go back because the shop had a nice selection but the mermaids need to work on their customer service skills. And I was there at noon on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy at all. read more
