I don't go to the 99 often as the location closer to me got me super sick a few years ago with food poisoning (but that's another story). Their prime rib weekend special though sounded really good and since they was a different location I felt okay ordering here. I placed the order over the phone as the website didn't list it anymore as a special and I was worried since it was Sunday that it was gone but not the case and a nice woman took my order over the phone. She didn't ask which size we wanted which ended up being fine as I think the 18oz was going to be way too big (my partner and I were sharing and then we were bringing another meal to my mother who doesn't eat much). They came right out when we arrived and parked in the take out area. Fast and easy process. The prime rib was very nice. Just fatty and red enough without being too rare (we went with medium) and a ton of meat for the price. Easily two meals for one person eating or one good meal for those sharing. The baked potato was good as were my mother's mashed potatoes. The broccoli was pretty hard, we prefer it cooked more. I have no idea why the dijon asparagus is so much more money as an upgrade. It came with 5 pieces of asparagus and a liquidy mustard. Tasted fine but nothing special. I'd definitely order from the Danvers location again, especially if they have another fantastic prime rib special as the meat was tremendous and the price was seriously awesome for the amount of meat! read more

The only reason I am giving this a 1 star is because it is necessary, and the food was ok. The food was subpar at best. Their gravy is a packaged disaster. It was disgusting. I was there with a friend, and saw the waiter once. I waited 20 minutes for a refill. I put the glass on the end of the table, and finally got one. The service at this location is as subpar as their food. The location, and the food in Salem is much better. read more

I love this place! They have a large menu offering and I have found everything to be very, very good, especially the country chicken, buffalo chicken and, of course, the best burger anywhere without question! The servers are all top notch, the prices are extremely reasonable and it's a very nice atmosphere inside, I recommend it highly!! read more

Had a standard meal here. Macadamia encrusted chicken and the crunch burger were decent. My friend likes the buffalo wings so that was probably the best item we ordered. Service was good. The manager and server interacted with is regularly, it just took a really long time for them to pick up the bill. Would have rated this place 3 stars but 1 star off for the 99 not accepting coupons on phones. Does anyone even have a printer anymore besides at work? Get with the times 99! read more

I visited this location 7/17 in the early evening with my sister and niece. We sat on the bar side and from the moment we encountered our waitress Morgan it went downhill fast. Her attitude even made my 12 year old niece raised her eyebrows. We had a great experience at the 99 outside the museum of science a while back and we wanted to revisit. First my niece ordered a virgin frozen lemonade 1/2 raspberry 1/2 strawberry (which she had gotten at previous visit. Morgan abruptly answered we can't do that it will all mix together, we said that's fine. She later came back asked if we wanted to order, we told her we hadn't received menus. Morgan quickly said you don't know how to use QR codes? We were like what, caught off guard as she pointed to this little table top card we obviously hadn't seen, or been made aware of. We all were so put off by her unprofessional and lack of customer service attitude. For the first time we left cash on table to cover the drinks and left. She caught us as we left Practically yelling as if we were leaving without paying, told her the money was on the table. Morgan asked was there something wrong, we said no and left. I relocated to Danvers a year ago and was pleasantly surprised that there is a 99 here. The facility is mid-range compared to other 99s (it's not the biggest but not the worst one either). The servers are friendly and helpful. Food is always prepared well and they haven't gotten an order wrong yet (I order take out for 3 every Sunday). Service is relatively fast as well. I have had a couple lesser meals here but it came down to nothing more than my own pickiness - a lack of sauce on Buffalo wings. Now I always ask for extra, to be sure. Never had a bad experience at this 99. Decent food when it comes to chain restaurants and the menu is seriously always changing. One of my favorites is the strawberry and blueberry salad with grilled chicken, it's seasonal but SO good and relatively guilt free. My husband loves the BBQ turkey tips and often try's the different burgers that they add to the menu / most recently got a crunchy pickle burger and loved it. Service is always good and we love the popcorn they give while waiting for your food. An old local faithful if looking for a quick bite for lunch or dinner. read more

If you order takeout never leave without checking your bag. When I picked up my order the manager stated my order "without tomato". Next person who bring me my bag says here's your wrap "no tomato". We went in on a "kids eat free" night to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Our server, Kristen, was great. My sangria was huge, and tasty. Everyone enjoyed everything that was ordered - no complaints! My burger was big, I ended up taking 1/2 of of home. We'll definitely be back!! read more

The 99 itself its just okay...Its what you would expect from the 99, however we have had John serve us a couple of times during Thursday night trivia and we love him! He is so great. He is very personable and friendly. I love a server that you can joke around with and John is just that. I'm not a huge fan of the trivia nights at this location, however, I go just for John. I have been a life long fan of the 99 Restaurant chain. My wife and I always enjoy going to the 99 in Danvers because we know we will get a good meal for a reasonable price. And, most of the time, the staff is pretty excellent. I don't know if it is the times, but, our most recent dining experience on Tuesday night, prompted me to write a review. Everyone is a critic these days, but, if you dine often, as we do, you know great service when you find it, and not so great service, as well. And it can be fixed so easily. Management can fix it at a cost of..... nothing! When we entered the restaurant, the hostess and a server were involved in a conversation, and neither could look up to acknowledge our arrival. After about 5 seconds, she greets us without looking up. Then, she looks at us, and says, "party of 2"? Maybe to most people , this is nothing to worry about because in so many places, this has become the norm. The Server was nice enough and took our order and brought the beverages. She brought me a bottle of beer, but with no accompanying mug. No big deal, I requested one, and she brought one over. The food was delivered by another person, maybe a food runner or another server. Our server came by to follow up to see if everything was fine. And it was, the meal was very tasty. Then, we didn't see the server for some time. I finished my beer and really wanted another. The manager came by to see how things were, and I asked her for a beer. No problem. She brought the beer to the table without removing the bottle cap... hmmmm...The rest of our dining experience was fine, until we were walking out the door. We walked right by the Manager, her coming into the bar area, and us going out. No goodbye, no thank you, no eye contact...Pretty sad. We will return because we like it there. Went there Friday night with family, as usual the food and service was awesome. Not into the corporate chains, but this restaurant is the exception. We usual are here once a week, such a diverse menu and everything we all try seems to be so good. Our server Friday night 4/23/15 was Alycia and she was great. Recommend this 99 in Danvers highly. I always liked the 99. They have good food at a good price. Don't bother going to trivia though because they give the CHEAPEST prize of any place I've ever gone. The first and only prize was a Pepsi blow up promo thing. Most places give a $50 gift certificate to first prize. What an insult after playing all night, and winning. read more

Came here from out of town. The menu sounded great. It started poorly when the hostess stand looked at us and told us they had no idea what tables were available. The restaurant was not very busy at this time (9:30-ish PM). They then told us our waitress would be new. The girl was nice, but was terribly slow with every request. Everyone's order (4 people) was wrong in some way, and all of our food was over-cooked (a burger, a steak, fried chicken, and fish tacos). The bar then proceeded to cut us off only a few drinks into the evening (no, we were not being loud, rude, or belligerent in any way), and the bar staff glared at our table for the remaining 20 minutes it took our server to remember what we all ordered ("I'm sorry! I forgot!"), create our checks, and accept payment. After poor service, terrible food, and rude treatment, I would never go here again. read more

i tried to order and used my gift card and it wouldnt go through i called the restauraunt and the girl didnt know what to do about it so i orderred on the phone and they said it will be ready in 15 so i went i n 20 minutes later to pick up food i paid with my gift card and tipped the two woman at desk 7 dollars i waited twenty more minutes for my food and finally manager bill came out and asked what i was waiting fo and i said take out order and my order was in cubby when i got there twenty minutes earlier but the girls never gave it to me and they both said you didnt check i n when i got there and i said yes i did i even tipped you 7 dollars. i said to Bill the manager my food i just spent 50 dollars on has been sitting there for twenty minutes while i was sitting there and he said the bag still feels warm it should still be hot i openned it and it was ice cold and bill the manager said i could heat when i got home i was extremely upset and he walked away dont ever go to danvers mass ninety nine. besides the help being horrible the manager is worse read more
