This was a 3.5-star experience that I rounded up to four. We stopped here for dinner before seeing The Odyssey. I had the steak tips, and my girlfriend had the scallops with risotto. The food was good and the portions were satisfying, but both meals were fairly average and nothing particularly memorable. The drinks were better than the food. My girlfriend enjoyed her Cosmo, and I had a good IPA from a solid beer selection. Service was also better than average. Our server was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving without making us feel rushed. The ambiance is classic American bar and grill, with a large dining room, a lively bar, and plenty of televisions. It was comfortable and casual, although I could see it becoming noisy when crowded. Overall, this is a dependable neighborhood restaurant with a broad menu, good drinks, and solid service. I would return.

Worst fish tacos I have ever had! Bland beyond compare, rectangular fish that was obviously just defrosted. You can see in the photo the pathetic splash of crema that added no flavor. Dry cabbage. Granted I didn't add the pico but I never have pico yet everyone else has found a way to make better fish tacos. And for $18!?! Are you kidding me? Disaster. My dining companions didn't complain about their food but also no "this is really good" comments that are typical. Two stars because place was very clean, service and staff was good, ambiance was nice if generic and unremarkable. But serious the most lacking in flavor fish tacos ever - Taco Bell would probably make better fish tacos. Fish sandwich at McDonald's has more flavor!

mike & dave provided rude service, they told me i wasn't allowed to bring my copper water bottle into the restaurant but they only provide tap water. i get that they may feel that a person might pour their drinks into their water bottle, but i didn't come here for drinks. we ordered spinach & artichoke dip, sliders & fries. nothing was worth coming back for. regular, loud bar with rude service. not recommended. ambiance: 2/5 food: 1.5/5 drinks: n/a service: 1/5 sylvan street grille: 1.5/5

Myself and my wife have been coming here since 1991 and this visit has been like every other visit excellent. The service was excellent as always. The quality of food was great. The atmosphere was wonderful we sat in the bar area this time and it's great pub feel. Thank you to everyone at Sylvan Street Grille in Peabody.

I was able to take my mother out here for Mother's Day and we enjoyed a nice meal together. They were very accommodating and our server was prompt and pleasant. My mother usually gets the Cobb salad-it's her standby and highly rated. This time, she was such a rebel - she went for fajitas instead! She had a choice of chicken, steak, shrimp, or a combo-she went for chicken. The serving was generous and quite good! I went for chicken piccata as I haven't had it in a while. The medallions of chicken breast were tender and flavorful, covered in a slightly lemony piccata sauce. The rice pilaf was good and the spinach was wonderfully wilted-yum! Overall, a good meal with excellent service!

Great time and service. We had a nice table in the back with friends. The bar area was jam packed and loud as to be expected, but the other dining rooms were less noisy with more space. Large outdoor area for seating too which was nice. We ordered appetizers and salads. Our server Noah was excellent and very attentive. We enjoy coming here when we are in town. The food has always been solid and the atmosphere is nice. Always lots of parking too.

Connor ate the asian chicken fingers a 10/10. He absolutely thought the food was outstanding, He told me that if it was last on earth, he'd be able to eat it every single day for 20,000 years. His ambience was absolutely amazing. I just love this place so much and the service was absolutely outstanding. Connor thought our server. Jerry was absolutely amazing. I love this place so much and I would come back 20 times a week.

friend recommended this place to us... we ate in the bar area which is self seated. Lively atmosphere with a good amount of people for a weekday night. We ordered the zucchini sticks, steak fajitas and the sirloin. Good size portions for everything, but the sirloin had more of a hamburger consistency. We really liked the dipping sauces for the zucchini sticks. Ended the night with a Samoa inspired martini and chocolate brownie sundae. Brownie was big but lacked in warmth and texture was more cakey. Big menu so we will have to try something new next time

Decent food and decent restaurant experience. My Sylvan Street Panini was great. We're not from here, but the vibe reminded me of a local version of an AppleBees or TGIFridays. No shade. The food was solid. We've come back.

Met friends for dinner on a Friday night. This place gets very busy and doesn't take reservations. There's two distinctly different parts of the restaurant- the room with the bar with lots of tables and a large bar area. It's loud, active and fun but we chose the other- back area which is much quieter and better for conversations. Our server was great- very attentive, responsive and friendly. SSG has a huge menu and also specials. I also appreciated the large draft menu- great selection. The wine menu was also quite varied. Friends split fajitas which were tasty, though not sizzling. The California wrap was tasty but missing avocados. The Sylvan Street Panini- grilled chicken, roasted peppers with mozzarella was fresh and delicious. All in all this is an upbeat place with a wide menu, good food and service.

Just an awful meal ! Steak overcooked, vegetables undercooked and mashed dry. Would not come back here.

Phenomenal customer service, food was very ok! Parking is decent, if it were a packed house, then parking would be difficult. The staff were amazing, I had a server who was very attentive, and would continually checkup on me. I didn't enjoy the food as much as but even when I expressed that, my server tried to ask what they could adjust or change in the moment to help which was amazing, and I've never had someone do that before which is nice! I got the turkey burger which consisted of avocado and egg, the texture was very strange, and I didn't finish it. I also got their garlic mashed potatoes to which I couldn't taste the garlic and they were just very dry, and I also didn't finish it. The highlight was dessert which was a cute little creme brûlée. Everything comes in huge portions something to keep in mind when ordering entrees. The service alone was enough to keep me curious about this space, I will return, and try a different set of food when I do.

While there are gluten free options, I was served gluten during both visits. The first time was the wrong pasta. The kitchen made me a new meal. The second attempt was fine, but my table ate while I waited and then I ate alone when my food did come. This time we ordered a gluten free pizza as an app. We received a regular pizza. We were told that we would be comped for the mistake and a gluten pizza was on the way. Neither statement was true. An hour after we ordered, after we had completed our meal, we were told the kitchen was backed up and asked if we still wanted the gluten free pizza. We declined because we just wanted to leave at the point, but the regular pizza was still on the bill. We paid it - it's fine. As a member of the gluten-free/celiac community, I would caution others to be extra careful here. We really wanted to like this restaurant, but the very slow service (a hour before we received any food) coupled with the allergy mistakes make it tough to consider again.
