The chicken fried steak & loaded baked potato at $13.99 was very good and a nice portion. The chicken Caesar salad at $10.99 also was very good. Now the Shrimp platter at $14.99 and the Fish and Shrimp platter at $15.99 not so much as too much breading and not enough seafood for the price. The lady that brought the food to our table was friendly but the cashier was not. I went to 9er's Grill on Sunday and had their special on chicken fajitas I was eating one of my chicken fajitas and I crunch down on a big piece of bone. So be prepared when you go to 9er's to check your food out to make sure there's no bones in it or just don't go there. At least I can say I tried it once. More realistically a 2.5 star. Bumped it up since they're new. The shrimp po-boy was a disaster. They slice through the roll, so you can't contain the excessive amount of breading they use on the popcorn shrimp. The tomatoes ruined the sandwich and I had to pull them because they tasted terrible. The onion rings were decent and I was glad to see they actually brew their own tea. Lunch special at $8.99 with a side and a drink isn't a bad deal, if it was more enjoyable. They anticipate opening up at 7 a.m. for breakfast soon, but I would be reluctant to give that a try. Still don't have some of the menu items, which makes me leery to think that they actually make anything here in-house. This just isn't my style of establishment to support, but I wish them well. The one star is for the friendly staff, the steak sandwhich, patty melt and fries rate Zero stars, all for the everyday low price of 26.00 with drinks. The steak sandwhich was thin, overcooked and seemed like leather. The patty melt was a soggy tasteless mess and the fries were undercooked. Reviews are too harsh on this place. Really.. someone left two stars because they mixed up the Tator tots and fries on the entrees lmao? Get real. The people who take your order here are nice and the food is good. Big portions for sure. I go about once every two weeks and I live right off Douglas and 30. So listen to me and not these overly tough "yelpers" who throw around two star reviews because they think life should be all magical and unicorns. Went out last night with a large group. Someone told us to check out 49rs because the food was decent. The night started with a long wait to be seated and only a few tables were filled ,probably a glitch,so i thought. The server was less than cordial and simply took our order without a bit of small talk . The food was less than average with "soggy buns" and less than average portions. We did not feel a need to complain to management and left a nice tip;though not deserved . Im glad there is some recourse for visitors. read more

Came here on a whim, house shopping in the area. I ordered a southwest burger and onion rings. My server dropped (1) of my onion rings, apologized and said she would bring me a few extra. I asked for some ranch dressing and she came back with the ranch and a full order of onion rings, no charge. That is how a business earns customers. Also the burger is very good, and almost too big. The bacon looks like real homecooked bacon. Similar pricing to Culver's but with much better food and larger portions. Will return to give them more of my business. read more

Very disappointing. After waiting months for this place to open because we are from Texas went today for the first time. It has an odd setup, you wait in line and then get a number so we waited about 20 minutes to place our order then to get to place our order and there is a long list of items they are out of including chicken fried steak which is why we went. So we left without ordering anything. First if they are out of something it should be posted before you stand in line. Second, it appears to be run by amateur restaurateurs, how can you run out of items in your first week of business. Maybe we will try it again later. read more

I've been there specially for baked potatoes soup, it was great for a couple times. Last time was horrible, the soup was more water with out any flavor on it, I told the manager about this and he responded: "we made the soup different now because some customers said it was too thick" Why are you change the original recipe and now serve "water baked potatoes soup"??? My family went to 9ers last weekend and had a great experience. I had the 9 oz burger, my wife had the chicken fajitas, and my kids had a corn dog and hamburger. When we arrived, a person at the door gave us an overview and offered us to select a table of our liking, and to sit down and review the menu. Then, you go to the counter to place your order and return back to the table for it to be delivered. Food was great, and most importantly, the portion sizes were very large. Good value for the money and the menu was huge with quite a few different offerings. A place like this is comparable to The Patio, Portillo's, or even Culver's where you place an order up front and then the food arrives to your table via a number. I like that process as there is no required tip (although we were offered refills by our server and we ended up leaving a few bucks -- no big deal). The place is obviously new -- they are working out some of the bugs -- which is expected. We arrived before a large line formed, and also did not order appetizers so I can't comment on the timing of the food, other than that our entire order arrived hot in about 10 minutes. So we will be back -- I saw so many other things on the menu and will explore further, although the burger was so good that I will likely get it again a few times before experimenting around. read more

After waiting for over a year for them to open, I was able to go on their first day of business. Walking in you are greeted by a staff member who explains the process, "it is like Portillo's where you order at the counter but we bring the food out to you" and the menu. From there you proceed down the steps to the counter to order. The menu is huge and is posted on the wall behind the registers and on the menu you are handed as you enter. I order the "Big Burger", 9 ozs of meat on a huge bun with fries. I also opted for some bacon but no cheese. Drinks are filled behind the counter. Once you find a seat and place your number on the stand, you sit and wait. It didn;t seem to take too long to get my food so that was good. Make sure you pick up ketchup and silverware before you go sit down because you are going to need to cut the burger in half (at least). The burger was tasty but huge. 9 ozs of meat squashed into a 5-6 inch disc on a bun that is just as big. Lettuce was fresh but the tomatoes were poorly sliced and inedible. The fries are steakhouse style, large pieces of sliced potato that, to me, were undercooked and tasteless. Total cost for the burger, fries and a cup of water was around $10. About ten days later I decided to go back and try them again. I ordered the same burger but with tater tots this time. Unfortunately, this time the burger was over cooked and almost tasteless. There was no seasoning on it and I couldn't eat more than a few bites. It just didn't taste good. The tater tots were good, though. They serve enough for a family of four however so be aware of that. It seems everything is "Texas-sized" which might go over well in Texas but in Montgomery, I think it is just too much food. Compared to other restaurants in the area, they are seriously over-compensating there. I will be going back to try some of their other options like the steaks or cajun poboy or their catfish and shrimp platter. I just won't be doing their burger again anytime soon. read more

OMG!! What can I say about this place?!? I'm in constant search mode for the best hamburger made.. I've tried burgers from all over the country. And come to find out that one of the best(And biggest) burgers I've ever had is made less than a mile from my house. Over the last month I've eaten her 5 times. I've told countless people about how incredible your food is and how huge their portions are. This place has quickly become my favorite local restaurant. When you walk in you won't be impressed.. The first time my wife and I walked in.. We turned and walked out... That was over a year ago.. Then about a month ago We were going to see a movie across the street and needed to get a quick bite to eat. This was the closest place and I'm so glad we gave it a try. Wow was I blown away when they brought out my burger. Absolutely a thing of beauty! And man was in massive! Trust me on this one.. This place is worth making the drive if you're not local and you want a out of this world burger.. Haven't tried anything else on the menu yet because I'm still amazed by their burgers.. Horrible experience. Ordered for a family of 4 for delivery by DoorDash, spending a lot of money for a birthday dinner. Upon delivery EVERY meal had something wrong with it or it was missing items. Ordered a wrap, got a chicken sandwich. Ordered Mac and cheese, got a grilled cheese. You get the point. So we call and inform them of the issues. Employee said there's no manager working but he can credit us for the next time we visit and that's all. We asked for a correct order to be delivered and the response was a flat NO. My wife was then hung up on. Upon calling back hoping it was just a phone malfunction, the employee said they'll remake 2 meals and I had to drive to get it, which I did. Literally the exact reason why we ordered delivery was to avoid driving there. I get home and half the food order is now cold and soggy from sitting for well over an hour at this point. I called the manager the next day and after trying to blame it on door dash, he agreed to refund less than half the cost of the meal. Yippee. We aren't ones to complain like this but this situation was outrageous. It's a miracle this place is still operating, don't support them. read more

Was greeted by nice gentleman who handed us a menu and explained what they didn't have that was on the menu This place is similar to the Patio Restaurants, in that you order at that counter and given a number and then you go find a table and wait. I ordered a burger combo, which comes with fries and a drink and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich combo. My daughter had a kid's hot dog which was supposed to include a cookie, but didn't. I found the burger and fries to be Chili's/TGI Friday quality, which is pretty good. My wife loved her sandwich. The menu contains a wide range of items from burgers and chicken to fajitas to fish to steak to breakfast. I plan on returning, but probably for lunch. read more

Had an early dinner here with my husband for the first time. I had cowboy sirloin steak with potato salad, rice and dinner roll while hubby had a chicken fajitas. Over all impression for the food was okay. Although disappointed with my meat, I thought sirloin steak was one piece of good steak-- it was ground sirloin steak instead. WORST breakfast ever. Toast was moldy!! My egg entree was supposed to be scrambled with spinach and cheddar (a standard menu item) and came out with no cheese. This place has a HUGE menu selection. There are plenty of specials to take advantage of throughout the day. The people are nice here but prepare that service is slow. Also the ordering at the counter and then they bring your food to you is interesting but warrants you leaving a tip. I've tried 9 er's twice, but ate there once. The first time was breakfast for two, took over 25 minutes, however was good food. I went a second time on my lunch break with my brother. We ordered sandwiches (on the pricey side) after 25 minutes, I walked up to the counter and asked the status. I was told that the order was not done because they had a large take out order and were trying to fill it. I explained that I was on a 30 minute lunch break and couldn't wait any longer. I asked for a refund, which was given along with a "sorry we had a big order to fill". We were two of maybe 6 in the entire place at the time which made this hard to swallow. Tried today for the first time hoping for great food. Food was unmemorable. Not terrible but not great. Got the rice as a side and it tasted exactly like the pouches you buy from the store and microwave. Biscuits looked and tasted like cheap frozen ones. We didn't like having to order than sit and wait 20 minutes for essentially fast food. Drink machine was behind counter...annoying to have to ask for refills. Also entrees don't come with drinks here. Was pretty disorganized. We won't be back. read more
