Ok so after coming in for dinner on Mother's Day, we decided to come back to try breakfast bc the prices were so low for what they were offering and once again we were not let down! I had the french toast and over easy eggs which were cooked to perfection! French toast was Not soggy not over cooked just right. My boyfriend got the chorizo skillet with scrambled gags and tortillas. The chorizo had a nice kick to it and wasn't greasy at all. This type of place is just what our area needed...great low cost with big portions and great taste! I would rather put my money here than any chain any day read more

We each got skillets which we're extremely greasy and overloaded with onion. The restaurant concept has the customers do all the work, including chasing after refills and condiments. Tried this new place on a Saturday night, arrived just before 6pm and the line was all the way to the door. It did not seem to move very fast - we were in line about 25 mins just to order. However, food came about 10 minutes after we sat down. Portions were HUGE. Everything tasted great, we had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Salad dressing (ranch) was really good. Love that they serve Coke products, but I think there should be self-serve drink stations in the dining room so we don't have to wait for a runner to grab them. Prices are very fair, especially for the amount of food you get. We will be back for sure, hopefully the line won't be as long! read more

So went here tonight to be the judge for myself, based on the reviews it was a little iffy. Seems like one of the things that gives this place not so many stars is the line that you have to stand in to place your order. The line really isn't that bad, it moves fairly quick, plus in this time of waiting you're trying to decide what you want out of the wide variety of items they have to offer, just about everything sounds delicious. For the price of everything it is completely worth for what you get. Food came out quickly as well. I was pleased with the whole experience and will definitely be back to try something else. This establishment was very clean and very busy. It used to be an Applebee's (which I'm so sad is gone) I tried the fajitas appetizer and a kids chicken tender combo. The portions were pretty big. You walk in and there's a large menu above the resisters, you place your order and you're given a number. You seat yourself. Your meal and drinks are brought out to you. But you don't actually have a waiter/waitress so flagging someone down for a refill or extra stuff is kind of a pain. The prices were too bad for the amount of food you got. I probably wouldn't go here on a first date. It's not intimate or fancy- we went as a family and that was very fitting. The layout is different. Poor setup for a restaurant. You have to wait in line before ordering like a fast food place, only to be told they are out of what you want and have to come up with a secondary order on the spot while trying not to hold up the line. Don't bother getting an appetizer because they just wait and bring it with the rest of your food and it'll arrive cold. The steaks were so undercooked a good vet could probably bring it back to life with little effort. Everything was so soaked in grease that half an hour after leaving my mouth still tastes like I licked the bottom of a deep fryer. You'll wait so long for someone to wander over and check on you that you'll just end up walking to the counter and have to butt back into the line to get a refill on your drink. You'd think if they were gonna make the customers do all their work for them (including taking the food home to finish cooking it) the prices would be better. Bottom line. It's a fast food joint that serves half assed "entrees" that they can't even be bothered to cook properly. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I didn't quite "get" this restaurant. We walked in and were seated with menus. Once we decided once we wanted, we walked up to a counter to order our food. Unlike places like Culver's, you actually had to wait for your food - they didn't bring it out to you. I found it odd to be waiting at the counter for something like, say, a steak. The prices were too high considering it was more like fast food than a sit-down restaurant. It gets two stars since there were many menu items and the food was fine. We were greeted at the door by a friendly man. I asked him a few questions about the restaurant and he answered them kindly! Great way to start. The line to order was very long and slow. It took 40 minutes to be served a burger and ribeye. They came to us warm but not hot. We thought the taste was good. I overheard the family next to ask the server why their steaks looked different because they both ordered a ribeye. The server replied that one was a New York strip rather than the ribeye. When we left they were chatting with the manager as the NY strip was tough on top of being the wrong. The food was okay but service,although friendly, was too slow. We won't return. read more

Not a fan of "wait in line to order your food- restaurants" It took longer than expected for our food to arrive. Food was good. I had the chicken fajitas. Nothing spectacular. Moderate prices. I would rather pay a little more to sit down and order from a waitress. Advice to owners: if your going to keep the current ordering process(stand in line) either have 2 more registers open or have someone taking orders by hand or iPad from the people in line(like portillos does in their drive thru). The last thing I want to do is stand in line more than 5 minutes to order food. I understand that there will be a wait during peak hours, but I would rather sit down and wait to be paged than stand up the whole time. I probably will not go back during peak hours. read more

First thing to know , this is not a sit down resturant. When you walk in you are greeted by a worker who hands you a menu and explains the process to you. Then you wait in line and place your order, sit at a table with a number and the food is brought out to you. My wife had the shrimp platter and I had the chopped steak with baked potato and 4 jumbo shrimp (shrimp cost extra) The food was cooked to order and to the way we had asked it to be prepared. My wife's shrimp was OK at best. She did not care for the taste of the cocktail sauce. My steak had zero flavor. It was very obvious that it was not seasoned prior to cooking. The dinner roll that came with my meal was stone cold. The salad that came with my dinner was partially frozen. Parts of the salad were way too cold and made eating it difficult. The shrimp were OK. The positive part of my meal was the potato which did have a generous amount of toppings. The two meals were delivered to our table quickly and for the most part the staff was friendly. That being said we did have a staff member who decided to turn up the news on the t.v. from between my wife and I at our table. I am sure it was unintended but was a bit awkward. Went to lunch with a friend today. We loved the place. Really nice inside and outdoor seating is nice too. They have excellent lunch specials that include a side and a drink for $8.99. The burger is HUGE! I had a buffalo chicken wrap with blue cheese and a whole grain wrap. It came with a ton of steak fries, but there are other sides you can choose. First time and most likely last time I will eat here. Food was just not good! My wife and I ate there tonight for the first time and I was not impressed. First, the place looks like it has some style when you walk in thinking it's a serve you style place, when actually it's more like a fast food Texas steakhouse. The menu is incredibly large, unorganized, confusing and way too many choices. It's really hard to decipher what they actually specialize in. After we place our order we are given a number and are told it would be brought out to us. After sitting there waiting 15 to 20 minutes for our food I expected greatness, however I was mistaken. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. The bun was so stale and dry she literally pulled the pork off the sandwich to eat it, leaving the bun. Then her sweet potato fries (which was an up charge) were horribly under cooked and chewy. I excitedly ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich....huge mistake! A Po-boy is a southern Louisiana style sandwich. The two things that define this sandwich are garlic buttered style bread and creole seasoned shrimp. Not true at 9ers!! The shrimp was oil fried popcorn shrimp with absolutely NO seasoning or taste what so ever. Even Popeyes shrimp has more flavor. It just tasted like I was eating a deep fried flour sandwich. The hoagie style bread had no garlic butter nor was it toasted like a po-boy should be. Instead it was just bread with lettuce tomato and mayo. My steak fries was what I was hoping was at least going to save the day.....wrong again!! They obviously use old freezer burned fries instead of fresh cut fries, cause that's exactly what they tasted like, stale 5 hour old fries. Never again waste my money at 9ers. read more

I thought it was absolutely awful. My husband and I took our three kids here before seeing a movie. Big mistake. I thought we were going to a restaurant where we waited to be seated and sat down and ordered from a menu. Instead, you walk up and order yourself. Then get a number and wait at your table for someone to bring it to you. It reminds me of the old Sizzler or Ponderosa restaurants. This was NOT what I expected. I ended up with a salad for dinner because they told me they were out of kabobs. My husband and son ordered steak. My husband's side of shrimp looked like it had been cooked a week ago. My son's baked potato was swimming in butter and he couldn't even eat it. They forgot an order of shrimp but that turned out to be a blessing. My daughter ordered onion rings and those never came. The portion sizes are definitely large, but because of the poor quality of food, we left most of our food on the plate. I didn't even take it home for our dogs. Plus, for having to go to a counter and order, get my own place settings and find a table myself, the place is expensive. I don't understand how some have raved about this place. The outside seating was completely empty when we were there and barely anyone inside. Had breakfast here, the eggs & texas toast were fine but the diced chunks of potatoes that came with the meal tasted like chunks of pure salt with heavy grease poured over it. I know there had to be potatoes in there somewhere, but all I could taste was salt & grease, so I obviously couldn't eat that. Not a coffee drinker, so I had a diet coke with the meal. The diet coke seemed a bit stale, not as fresh as a McDonald's diet coke always is, but well, most restaurants diet cokes aren't. Just please, cut down on the salt & heavy fatty grease. read more

This place just opened up across the street from where I work in an old Applebee's building. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a full menu, but no alcohol. You order at the front counter and then sit and wait for your food. Don't think that because they don't have servers that the menu is smaller or limited, this is a big menu with lots of options. I really like it because you get sit down restaurant quality food, but you don't have to tip. I ended up trying their signature item, the burger, which is 9 oz, hence the name 9er's Grill. The burger is huge and topped perfectly, it came with steak fries and they have fountain pop. The only thing I didn't care for was that the fountain drinks are behind the counter and you can't refill them yourself. Besides that the place is clean and the service was great and everyone was very friendly. This a great addition to the area and a place I look forward to trying again very soon. read more

I visited 9er's Grill to eat lunch. I was tired of eating Portillo's all the time so I wanted to check the place out. When I walked in the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and the store was very clean. I had a hard time choosing an item from the menu because everything looked really good. I ended up ordering their burger combo. The burger tasted much better than Portillo's and the price was even cheaper! The steak cut fries were also nice and crispy. Overall I was very pleased with the food and my wallet was happy with the price. I will definitely visit again to try the other items on their menu! read more
