    Lunch Special for Thursday
    Peter M.

I was invited by one of my friends to have lunch with him and his buddy. I ordered the Thursday lunch special, Chopped Steak Entree. I got a dinner roll, a very loaded baked potato with butter, bacon, chives and a dollop of sour cream. I also ordered a Coke-zero. The service was wonderful and refills were quickly available to our table. The potato was huge and the steak came with a generous layer of grilled mushrooms, sliced onions and green peppers. I took 1/2 home as it was a full on feast! Highly recommended.

Updating my review from 5 stars to 1. Wish I could give zero to this terrible restaurant. We were dining last night, with my parents and sister. One set of food came out and nothing else for 10 mins. Very odd because it always comes out at once. My wife's chicken fajitas came out and the rice and the chicken were cold. The woman "server" came out and told us the food wasn't cold. My wife explained that it is cold and she could touch it to see for herself. She rudely said that's too bad cause it was hot when it came out ( 3 minutes prior) and that we can get a refund but they won't make or reheat the food? Never ever had service this terrible. I will never come back to this place and I also think they should look at more cleanliness in their bathrooms and the floors. Place looks pretty disgusting and obviously not managed very good. Hope their corporate office can get rid of the trash and get a better staff.

9er's Grill is an interesting place for breakfast. I didn't know this place was here to begin with. I've never heard of 9er's Grill prior to the visit. The building looks like it was a previous Applebees. There is an outdoor patio which looks like it would be a nice place however this visit kept me inside. Walking up to the counter this looked to be a sports themed restaurant. This also looked like a western themed restaurant. Pictures of football but also basketball and cowboys were hung throughout. Standing at the counter looking at the menu on tv's behind the counter I saw what I wanted. Until I was informed that the item I asked for was only available Monday through Friday. Then can't the menu be edited to only show what's available on the day that I'm looking at said menu? Three order was brought to the table and the sever was great with being attentive and keeping my coffee filled. I'm still confused on the decor but I'm not confused on the food. The food would bring me back, which would then give me another opportunity to figure out what theme 9er's Grill is gong for.

Not a bad spot. I visited two day's in a row for breakfast. The format is stand in line, order go sit and they bring the food to you. I had breakfast both days the short stack combo with a side of potato's. It was very good, hence why I had it for two days! I visited on a Saturday and Sunday morning about 10:30ish and seating was wide open! The do have a few tv screens should you want to watch sports. Overall good spot and I would visit again. Now for eye candy. The food was really good!

First off didn't like that I was gonna leave the tip on my credit card and the kid told me don't do that cause it doesn't go to anyone. To leave it at the table. Well I don't carry cash. It is sad that the tip by credit wouldn't go to the server. As far as the food it was ok. Subpar chicken sandwich. Baked potato the bacon was burnt. They toasted the bun way to long it fell apart.

Went there and got their Weekend catfish special which they increase the price by a $1 and took away the salad. Apparently they are pinching pennies and apparently fries too! Why would anyone think it's ok to package food like this and serve it to a customer. No wonder the place was EMPTY on a Friday evening. Won't be back!

Excellent breakfast options! My bf and I love coming here. The service is always fast, friendly and the food is so good. It's our favorite breakfast place in the area.

This place was built a while back just after I moved to the area. Since I was hoping for more bar-like restaurants for the evening and socializing, I didn't give it a shot when I found out it was just a regular restaurant (although they do have a decent selection of beer). Today I tried it for the first time. I ordered the Big Time Burger which is topped with bacon, jalapeños, and a fried egg. It was amazing. The lettuce was crispy fresh, the egg perfectly runny, and the burger perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that the burger is so big that once you get started you won't be able to eat your fries or take a drink: it's a full two-handed effort all the way through! The place is clean, the people friendly, and it has an outdoor seating area. I'll definitely come back here to try other menu items.

Cowboy Chopped Steak. Got specials going throughout the week!

This was my first time there and I am surprised I haven't heard more people talking about it. I stopped in a little after 9:30pm to meet up with the rest of the group of 6 on a Saturday night. I didn't realize until I got there that my cousin's cousin who is a friend was actually bartending so that was a nice surprise because he's got a lot of experience. Our server was really nice and came up to our high top as I was looking over the drink menu to let me know that the kitchen would be closing soon in case we wanted to order any food but we had all already eaten. I do kind of wish that I had looked over the food menu though because some of the last plates I saw being served for the night looked pretty good. Both the server and our friend did a great job of checking in throughout the night with our party and the others. This was the same night as the Pride Celebration in Aurora that was literally just outside on Stolp Ave but it wasn't very busy for a while but a good amount of people trickled in for a nightcap after the show at the Paramount let out. The 2 drinks I had were really good. The first one was the featured cocktail: Naughty Nellie's Nectar which was a great Tiki-esque drink with spiced rum and bitters mixed with various fruit juices including passion fruit, guava, pineapple, and lime. It was right up my alley so I was a little sad when I went for a second one and the bartender said that they had run out of some of the ingredients but that he would make me the other drink on the menu that's similar, the Twilight Tixi. I liked that one a lot too. What really made the night great though was the chill and relaxing ambiance of the space. The nice lighting gave the mood of a mix between lounge, restaurant and bar. The music was good and although they had the TV above the bar playing the last game of the NBA finals it was not the focal point. I'm looking forward to more fun nights at Arthouse in the future.

So delicious. I'd say the steak could have used a little more of a crust but overall was still really yummy. The service is always wonderful, tonight Poncho was working and he always remembers my drink and makes my friends feel welcome. If you haven't been before the ambiance is really great. I challenged you go to in and find a new bad you haven't heard of, or count all the ones you recognize in the decor. I also really love the Arthouse Salad

So I thought we were all set. Our reservation was for 6:00, and we arrived at 5:54. We were told to wait until six, which was perfectly fine. Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

My group ordered an Old Fashioned, a Manhattan, and I went with the Golden Cider, which was like a fall-inspired Moscow Mule. We all loved our drinks and would definitely order them again. For an appetizer, we shared the mussels (a family favorite). The portion size was impressive & easily more than what you get at most places & the sauce was absolutely delicious. The accompanying bread complemented it perfectly. I'd absolutely reorder this. For my meal, I went with the Shrimp Po'Boy since it's not something you often see around here, while the others in my party tried the Wagyu burger and loved it. The shrimp on my sandwich were perfectly battered and fried, and the sandwich itself was enormous with great flavor and portion size all around. Service was great as well; our waitress was friendly and attentive, and we had a wonderful overall experience. I'm genuinely so happy that Oswego finally has a solid local dining option. I highly recommend checking out Neat Kitchen whether for a casual dinner, a night out with friends, or just drinks and apps, it's a fantastic addition to the area.
