If Yelp would allow me I would give this establishment a negative not even a 0. Poor service. The food is terrible. Lazy employees. There only leverage is the location and it is open 24/7. Go the deli on the same block but closer to 36th Street. This has been a review that I have delayed. My friend lives on the same block and for years it is always a disaster. None of the employees no anything and the food all looks the same. No knowledge as to what is in the store. So, if you are a vegan, or vegetarian or do not eat pork or beef. I ordered delivery from here tonight. I ordered a large caffe latte (asking for almond milk if they had it since it wasn't an option on seamless), a Capri panini, and a bacon steak quesadilla. Everything was delivered hot and neatly packed. Delivered on time! A little coffee spilled out but it was in a smaller separate bag which is smart. It was $3.49. It didn't taste like espresso and I'm certain it was sweetened. I don't like sugar. So I probably wouldn't order it again. I'm just happy it was not expensive! The Capri panini contained spinach, cheese, chicken (deli) and hot peppers. The peppers were actually hot! Lol it was yummy. This was $7.99. I'd try another panini. The bacon steak quesadilla contained steak, bacon, cheese, and peppers. It was delicious! Nice portion and filling. I couldn't finish it all. Strolled in here in a desperate tizzy trying to find dog treats. I was headed to a friends nearby knowing I'd be using her spare key and her adorable little feisty French bulldog would go batshit crazy once I walked into her apartment while friend was gone. The pooch and I only met me one time before, and it was a year ago, so no familiarity. Premeditated solution: treats for the food motivated. They had wet & dry dog food, but no treats that I could see. There was, however, a deli counter and I thought, regular unseasoned chicken is the best treat anyway. I wonder if... Well can't hurt to ask. Walked to the counter and said, "I don't want a sandwich, but just some chicken, it's for a dog, can I just buy a piece of chicken?". The man was really cool and instantly accommodating. He grabbed a piece and when I asked how much he pulled a completely reasonable number out of his head. Cool! Yes, I'll take it! Thanks! Great experience. Sometimes it's so easy to please a person ;) He has NO idea how much that helped me out! Dog went nuts upon entering my friend's apartment (as projected) and once I tossed a few pieces to her, I won her over! Soon, she and I were practicing "catch the chicken" and she never barked at me again coming and going from my friend's place that weekend. Instant buds. Not only that, she looked longingly at me when I went to sleep and licked my hand clean before bedtime. The next day when her mama and I went outside for a walk, she was looking back, checking on me. Delivery was two hours late, food was made by amateur, fries had no taste, chicken in chicken steak sandwich was old, the smoothies were not smoothies, they were blended juices instead. The boxes that the food came in had holes that looked like someone had carelessly jabbed random holes into them with a fork. They have the same people rating and giving them repeat 4 or 5 star ratings on Seamless which doesn't make any sense considering the rest of their other ratings done by customers on Seamless are very, very low. Came in the other day as we were starving and this place was close to the hotel we were staying at. Wife ordered several burger combinations for us. The price was good for NY standards. If you're looking for a cheap sandwich while you're on the run, then I guess you can stop by AM-PM. I ended stopping by here since it was across the street from my apartment. Otherwise, I probably would never stop by, since every corner shop is pretty much identical. Nonetheless, the sandwiches here are actually not half bad, and it comes at a prince point that won't break your bank. Getting a hero with a soda will run you $8. Even for dinner, this hero is large enough that it will get you through the night. Will you love it? Probably not so much, but it does its job efficiently. Especially when you're on the go, popping in and out of here in a span of 5 minutes is kind of nice. Now if you're coming here just to get random goods, then they have an okay selection of drinks, but that's pretty much it. read more

While I was in town for comic con at the Javitz this was my go to place for cheap snacks and cool drinks you can't find in my neck of the woods. I tried ginger mango soda and pineapple soda during my stay for instance. Really a nice selection of grab and go to bring back to the hotel. But the dudes behind the counter were the real stars SOO polite, nice, and down to earth. I got a Mexican cheesesteak one night too, and he cooked it up right then with real finesse. steak, pepper jack, avocado, and jalapenos for like $7...such a good deal. AM-PM is your typical corner deli. It's great for me because I live in the Townsend which is literally 5 feet away. They have decent priced stuff for a deli, so the mark-up isn't too bad. They recently renovated and it is a lot cleaner and nicer now that they have a huge window as their storefront. Their sandwiches are not particularly tasty but gets the job done when you're really hungry and nothing is open/you're too lazy to get anything else. They also have some pretty random asian stuff like korean ramen, aloe drink and spam! Their beer selection is also pretty decent. However, if you're a girl remotely dressed up and there later in the night, be prepared to see some creepers/lurkers who will not hesitate to say crap to you. read more

I really didn't even expect to see this business listed but not only is it listed but there are reviews. I agree with Kim K. about it being a slight step up from a bodega. However, that is all I needed it to be because I just want to buy some beer. I picked up one 24 oz can of Bud Light Lime. Normally I wouldn't drink anything by Bud but Bud Light Lime is the exception. It tastes very close to a Corona when you put the lime with it. There was no line so I was in and out of there quickly. The grocery section of this place is great. It's actually huge compared to the other delis I've been in. A wide variety of snacks, drinks, and toiletries, plus a great selection of beer and even a whole shelf dedicated to different sizes of storage containers. They're always friendly and easy to talk to when I go to pay. I prefer going here for things than Brooklyn Fare down the block. It's generally cheaper and more pleasant. read more

I just moved into the city and needed a go to place so i tried AM--PM DELI and good thing i did. The food is always clean and fresh everytime. So are their juices!! Their sandwiches are very delicious and fresh, I can never get enough of them. I order almost every other day if not everyday. The owner has been in business in this store for over 25 years!
