medeocre .... ordered the cheese fries and they were good. Main entree was a basic cheese burger which i ordered medium, looked good when it came out but bland,meat needed more seasoning for sure. My lady had the french dip sandwich and it was very disappointing again,the meat was just bad. The best thing we had all evening was the key lime pie.... now that is the only reason it got the 3rd star. The cheese sticks were very good! The drinks tasted watered down. I really appreciated that the manager consistently walked through and asked how everyone was doing. We ordered their hamburger challenge and I wish we hadn't because their hamburger by itself was absolutely delicious! I'd advise you to get the cheese sticks and their burger! Enjoy! read more

This place was such a disappointment! It used to be called 7 bar and grill and I'm guessing they have a new owner because they "remodeled" the inside and they have renamed the restaurant. They decided to make the bar area bigger which is fine I understand you make more money in the bar but if you're going to to eat a meal you have a small section. If you sit in the booth you can't move around too much because you will shake the person behind you! Our cups were not clean! They were all stained! Now for the food. I used to enjoy their food and I can say they have gone downhill. I went in to dine with family. For an appetizer we had chips and salsa. The salsa was tasty but nothing special. The chips taste like old grease! Ordered the pasta and it was so bland! Absolutely no flavor! Just boiled noodles with cheese and a cold breadstick. Very disappointing! We had a buffalo chicken salad. The actual lettuce I swear came from a salad bag from Walmart! It wasn't fresh. I ordered the guacamole burger and the guacamole was brown! I understand guacamole is hard to keep fresh but do not advertise as "fresh guacamole" when it's last nights guac or last weeks! Who knows? I got sweet potato fries instead of regular fries and they came in a cute little basket but I only got maybe 10 fries! The service was great! Our waitress was friendly and attentive! I really liked this place. Used to be another establishment and ownership, that I heard some not very positive things about. That has obviously changed. Service was outstanding. J's has a really solid beer selection with a good number of craft beers from Texas and around the country, which can be hard to find in Amarillo. It's a bar and grill, so the food matches that but good selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads and other entrees you may not find at other places in this space. Bartender, Vince, knew a lot about the beers and where they were from. I tried the beef egg roll appetizer and it didn't disappoint. Owner stopped by to approve the free appetizer I received through checking in on Yelp. Had a good conversation. Huge selection of TVs with a lot of different feeds so this would be a great place to watch whatever, game, match,or contest you want to see. Full bar with great liquor selection to complement the beer. Fairly small wine selection but more robust than most bar and grills in my experience. I gave it a five because there is something for just about anyone here, and compared to other bar and grills in the area it really stacks up well. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu at 7. First of all, everything is $7.00! The food was fresh and delicious with generous portions. I also really liked the atmosphere. As we entered the the location we were promptly greeted by hostess she and a warm friendly smile and a super personality. This is our second visit in the past 6 months and things are still good, service good, eye contact, and an inviting atmosphere. We had a large party in the back room and the hostess and the waitress took really good care of us and made sure that everything was set up and ready to go. Anna our server was quick efficient and made sure all the hot meals were delivered fresh and correct. There was only one meal that we came out short and it quickly arrived once they realized realized they did not have it. The house salad was great fresh and delicious crisp lettuce and cold the way a salad should be. My main course was hot fresh and delicious I really enjoyed the green chili cream gravy. The hand battered CFS was really good and crispy. I highly recommend this cute little neighborhood restaurant call ahead for large groups they will definitely take good care of you. I've been here several times and it's been good every time except for today. I ordered the $6.99 lunch special of spaghetti and meatballs. This is the first time I've ever had it and it will certainly be the last. The meatballs were ok, but the spaghetti sauce tasted like watered down tomato paste. Gross. I couldn't even finish it. My girlfriend ordered the Reuben and the corned beef was so incredibly salty it was basically inedible. The service, however, was really good and it certainly wasn't her fault the kitchen wasn't on its game. I'll go again, but just to drink. read more

I have ate here 4 times now and I have always been very pleased. There food is always so good and their Vegis are actually fresh not frozen!!! There salad isn't the standard iceberg lettuce it's a spring mix and there appetizers are always a generous portion and the drinks are fantastic. If I could give this negative stars I would. This use to be our favorite place to eat. It was family friendly the food was always good and always had great service. However the last time we went to eat there the food was not edible and it was cold. The coffee pot was broken and when they finally brought the coffee that the cooks had to make it was ice cold. (We still we're charged for it). The only seating left is in the bar area and it was loud and people were yelling because a game was on. The other half of the place was taken over by pool tables. They completely destroyed this place. I will never go back. Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth the time or money anymore. read more
