I have AHS and Ken was incredible! He ended up having to come out twice because they made him try everything to fix my washer before eventually deeming that it was unfixable and replacing it. He was very patient and explained every step of the process to me even though it took 30 days to get the final resolution. read more

Had them come out to fix my dryer on Feb 20. They told me I needed my vents cleaned. Payed another company to clean the vent. Dryer still isn't drying. I feel like because I'm a women, that I was try like a stupid women who didn't know what she was talking about. read more

My dryer stopped heating yesterday afternoon . I went through AHS, and this company was their choice. Ken responded late in the afternoon, and we scheduled an appointment for this morning. He arrived within the promised window. He was friendly and conscientious. A fuse needed replacement, so once that was done, the dryer works fine. He also wiped the floor underneath and shortened the dryer vent hose. I have no complaints about AHS or this company. It was an easy repair. read more

So not gonna lie, felt uneasy after reading the reviews, thinking what did I get myself into, but against the odds, I had a solid experience. I had a broken dryer, set up the service request through AHS and was able to get a phone call later that day. He said he had availability the next day, so I scheduled him. Showed up within the first four of the four hour arrival window. There was a part that was bad on my dryer, he was able to replace it with a new part from his truck. Got my dryer working again and I couldn't be happier. I even had to call him a couple times throughout the day to ask a few questions and he answered each time. Not sure why so many other people have had bad experiences with this company, but I'm thankful that they were able to help me out and get my dryer fixed. read more

DO NOT USE RIPOFF.. After paying a service fee of $75 our American Home Service warranty sent this guy out 7 weeks ago to repair our dishwasher. It took him 5 mins said we needed a control panel and he would order it and be back to return to fix it in one week... Its been seven weeks and we have called countless times all for no response back, the messages go to voicemail the business address is a residence. The Home warranty company says he had the part last month and should have fixed it .. both companies are a scam they obviously work hand in hand. AVOID! read more

My refrigerator freezer stopped working, called my home warranty service to get it taken care of, and this was the company I was given as the contractor. I've been trying all afternoon to call and set up an appointment, but no one answers the phone. I drove to the address listed to see if I could talk to someone in person, it was a residential address, and no one answered the door when rang the doorbell. So...I'm stuck with no freezer for at least 48 hours which is the time frame the warrant company gives to have the contractor make contact. I'll update as things happen, but for now I can't even get hold of anyone to get service. read more

A 1 is sent out by AHS. The technician is professional and very knowledgeable. Ken, the tech, was a second opinion and he evaluated my 20 year old dishwasher that the first company failed to repair. Ken knew what part was necessary, ordered it and returned within a week to install the new part. Ken is a straight talker who knows his business and better than that he knows how to get things done. I have had many AHS techs come out for many years now and A-1, and Ken are as good as you will get. Addendum: Ken had recommended a cleaner to add to the wash to clean the inside of the dishwasher. I wouldn't even give this company one star, except I had to or couldn't write review! I called AHS and they sent this company out to look at my broken dishwasher. The technician that showed up had a piss poor attitude and acted like he didn't even want to be here. He looked under the dishwasher and stated that there were 2 broken wires, then said it was due to a mouse and said that it wouldn't be covered by AHS. I want to know how anything could possibly be diagnosed by taking a few seconds to look under the dishwasher, but not pull it out and look behind it? The technician was here less than 5 minutes! My husband and I have tried numerous times since Thursday to call their office. The phone keeps ringing and there is no answer or voicemail. AHS charged us a service fee of $100 for absolutely nothing! They refuse to send anyone back out because of what the idiot technician diagnosed! Stay far away from these crooks!! read more

When the technician showed up to fix my range w no tools or diagnostic equipment, I knew it was going to be a sh!t show. He said there was nothing wrong with the range, we should just cook the food a little longer than the recipes called for. I called AHS to cancel my home warranty and the offered to let another company come out for free. REVOFF Repair came out ( with tools), took the range apart and in 5 min told me the heat sensor was bad. At least there are some honest companies still around. DO NOT USE A-1 REPAIR. You have the right to negotiate which company comes to your house. Read reviews before choosing. read more

Came out to fix our refrigerator that is having trouble keeping our food cold. I turned down the temp settings to help as the seals on the door are ripped. Their tech came out and adjusted the settings to normal and wrote the ticket up as cosmetic. This is a function issue, not a cosmetic. Cosmetic would be if I didn't like a scratch in the door. My food is not cold because of a ripped seal. They couldn't even figure that part out. Stay clear of this company. All I need is a new door seal. read more

We had a problem with the igniter on our stove, it stopped working. We called American Home Shield and they assigned A-1 Accurate to come out to complete the repair. They were able to identify the problem within a few minutes and informed me that they had to special order a part. It took 2 weeks for the part to come in and for them to install it. It didn't take them too long to get it done, now the stove works great. Overall, a pretty good experience. read more

AHS sent this company out and i was told my bulb in my fridge was left on or that my fridge door was left open and the defrost was not properly working. He left and told me it would work fine after 24 hrs. Well 24 hrs later my fridge still wasn't working. I called to have him come back out and he told me he couldn't make it till tomorrow. I contacted AHS and they sent out Elite Pros to fix it. This man walked in and immediately knew what it was wrong. My whole freezer coils were frosted over and the heating element that keeps that from happening was burnt out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! STAY AWAY! read more

The last couple of times it was sooo hard getting in touch with anyone because a lot of times it doesn't allow you to leave a message. We were assigned this company from American Home Shield. They called and set the appointment for today anywhere from 11-2. They didn't show up by 2:00 so I called the company. They do not answer the phone. It just keeps ringing. If you should happen get through it is a busy signal. They didn't call or show up and that is unprofessional. If they have a business then there should be someone who answers the phone and follows up with customers if they are going to be late. Service man was rude and blamed me for the issue he was working on. He was short with me and said I needed a new part and would order it. 3+ weeks later, still no part! I called to find out status and left message, no return call. I called again 2 days later and found out the part wasn't ordered because the warranty wouldn't cover it. They never called to tell me this, just left me hanging! They said it was the warranty company responsibility to tell me, I call the warranty company and they said it was the repair company's responsibility to advise me. Horrible company and super defensive when I complained about the service man's attitude. Call another repairman, stay away from this one. read more

Zero Stars!! Mis-diagnosed the problem. Replaced a working part and left. I had to call them back several times and still don't have an estimate of what it will cost to fix this. They are shysters. Service man Gene was fantastic besides showing up at the appointed time when the repair was completed he explained the cause and how to avoid this from ever happening again.
