I feel very lucky to have found Daniel at DG Plumbing!…read more I had several plumbing issues at my rental property, including two dripping bathtub faucets and old, leaking washing machine water connections. Since I live out of state, good communication and reliability were especially important to me. Daniel was excellent from beginning to end. He gave me a clear and transparent price upfront, communicated very efficiently, and was extremely flexible in working around my tenants' schedule. He arrived as scheduled and completed everything in about two hours, just as he estimated. He replaced both the hot and cold washing machine connections and provided pictures of the work, including the access panel he installed to cover the wall opening. He also repaired both dripping bathtub faucets by replacing the necessary internal parts, and replaced the two old bathtub/shower knobs. The faucets are no longer dripping and everything is functioning properly. He also showed very good professional judgment with the bathtub spouts. They were extremely tight, and he explained that trying to remove them could risk damaging the pipe inside the wall. Rather than taking that unnecessary risk, he left them in place since they were still functioning properly. He then reduced the price by $50 because the spouts could not be replaced, making the final total $750. I really appreciate his honesty and willingness to make the decision that was safest for the plumbing rather than simply doing the additional work and charging for it. Daniel was professional, responsive, efficient, reasonably priced, and very easy to work with. He also provided a one year workmanship warranty and sent me photos of the completed work, which is especially valuable when managing a property from another state. I honestly couldn't have asked for a any better outcome. Service requested : PRV replacement…read more I needed a pressure reduction valve replaced after my old one failed. I called GPS on Saturday evening, they were here as promised at 11:15 on Monday. The price quote ended up being a great value. The two guys that arrived were friendly and professional. Just nice guys. They got to work right away, and were done in about an hour. Included in the valve replacement cost, they excavated and replaced the old and inadequate builder-installed utility box with a much better one. They substantially elevated the water pipe junction to ensure it remains easy to access in the future, installed an additional water shut-off valve, and added pea gravel for drainage. We originally called for help removing an unusually placed back panel underneath our kitchen sink so we could access the plumbing. Once it was removed, I planned to install our new kitchen faucet myself, but quickly realized the space was so tight that I couldn't get the old fixture off. I called again the next day, and Vlad came out that morning and installed the new faucet for us. Then, later that same evening, I accidentally broke the cartridge while trying to install a new shower handle. We suddenly couldn't turn the water back on to the entire house. Even though Vlad had already worked a full day, he came by after his last job to help us figure out a way to at least get our water back on. What impressed me most was that he didn't just look for a quick temporary fix. He took his time, worked through the problem, and ultimately ended up fixing the shower handle and getting everything working properly.
