Had this appliance company come out twice in 2 months to repair my dishwasher. The technician was very friendly but unfortunately the dishwasher stopped working again. I called to schedule a third service visit and canceled due to the receptionist being a miserable rude woman. You can thank your receptionist for loosing money. This review has taken forever to post but my mom called this company over a year ago and a guy came out, looked at the machine and said, let it finish breaking and throw it away. It has no repair. She was charged $65 for this. Then a guy from her job who is not an appliance guy came fixes it and charged her $40. It's still working perfectly after the other guy fixed it. read more

Abhorrent! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Less than zero stars!! I had them come out to repair my refrigerator water dispenser motor. They quoted me $400 at the time and I said I would have to wait to do it. They charged me $75 to come out (unmentioned prior) and said that they will apply the $75 toward the repair of the refrigerator when I was ready. Well, today I was ready. I called them to set up an appointment to have it fixed. I mentioned that I was a customer of theirs and let them know I had paid the $75 fee and NOW they said they WOULD NOT APPLY IT TO THE SERVICE! Their excuse? "It's been over a year". NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THAT AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL PAID VISIT. They said "Whenever you're ready to have the motor replaced" to call them to set it up. Not only did the tech NEVER MENTION THIS, but when I called the day they came out TO CONTEST THE $75 FOR NOTHING FEE, she ALSO never mentioned 90 days or an expiration on the $75 fee!!! I was going to have them come out and do the job. They would have made $325, plus whatever the cost would have been to repair my dishwasher. So due to their lack of consistent policy, they lost about $500, a customer and as someone with a huge following on social media, will be sure to let local followers know about this as well as report them to Angi's List and BBB. As kind as I was on the phone, I was met by her with an uppity, short, bad ATTITUDE on the phone. I also heard a man in the background saying "90 days" ... they are making up policies as they go along! AVOID THESE THIEVES AND LOOK ELSEWHERE! They also seem to have a high employee turnover rate. The first time I had them come out, the tech was the only reason I called them again. He is no longer with the company. Now I know why. I can't say enough from the service and repairs of my Maytag Dryer. When I called Jennifer answer the phone polite and set me up same day with appointment. That's when I meant the service Tech Hyatt who showed on time, and checked out unit, and told me have to order parts. They never charged me for the service call, ordered the parts, gave me a invoice for approval to order parts and repair charge. Hyatt returned to install the parts we ordered, arrived on time is plus, and guess what the dryer is now fully operations compared to replace it. I will say if you need any appliance repaired this place is the first one you call, don't bother to look any further. My LG Dryer started making a lot of noise when it was running and I called A-1 Alliance Service on a Saturday. The rep stated she could have someone out that Monday between 12-4p. The Technician, Spencer, arrived early and within 45 minutes he had my dryer running smoothly after he replaced a bad roller behind the drum. Called Monday for repair. Tuesday am received a courtesy call stating SPENCER was 30 min away. He arrived and got to work. Repair took less than 30 min. He came in my home with Covid protection on . He was really polite and knowledgeable. Repair was in expensive . I was going to save some money by doing it myself. However sometimes it's just easier to hire a good company. If I could give less than one star I would. Let me start by saying "RJ" was extremely nice and a great employee! He was pleasant and very nice young man. This review it is solely based off of the incompetent, rude and uncommunicative front desk secretary and another employee who responded to my residence. He simply did not care about my problem and needs better customer relation skills. I had them come out due to the refrigerator not cooling. The first part did not work. The second time the part did not work either. Finally, after spending $182 on different parts they attempted to try one more part. Here in lies my problem, I was without a refrigerator for a week before I had to call them and inquire when they were coming back to install the part that was on order. The woman who answered the phone was completely rude, disrespectful, and does not know how to speak to customers! When asked why she did not simply communicate to me that the part was on back order (which is out of her control, I understand that) and unknown when the part would be in; she simply said to me "I don't know what you want me to tell you". So upset and still without a refrigerator, I had another company respond and give me an answer to my problem within the first 15 minutes of their response. I would not use this company nor would I recommend it to anyone I know. They need to learn customer service skills. read more

I went into A1 on a Tuesday for a wash machine hose. They didn't have it. Steve said he would order it call him with my Model number. Fifteen minutes later I called gave the lady the model number had to repeat it she wrote it incorrectly. She said Steve will call you in a little while. He didn't call. After 5 phone calls and being placed on hold most of them for a minimum of 7 minutes nothing but BS. He said the part was on the truck and would be in Thursday after 3. No call. I called Friday and Saturday. Always being put on hold I never did get the part. I called him again as he was about to put me on hold I said DONT PUT ME ON HOLD. I said you have the worst customer service and you useless. I would never recommend this company. I figured out after he left that it was just a matter to replace the filter, but he didn't even tried to check that. I called the Service department and was greeted by a very friendly voice, My LG dryer was not working, and I assumed it was the belt, and I was very wrong. My appointment was set for 03/16/23. at 9am I received a call from the technician informing me that he was on the way. I was greeted by Spencer, a fantastic service man, he had to pull the entire dryer apart to find the problem, a dead small Iguana. He removed it, and had my dryer working perfectly again. Spencer was very polite, friendly, and had amazing customer service skills. We had a technician, Spencer, come out to diagnose my LG washer. He said we needed a new boot and temperature sensor. They called and scheduled a return trip, 8-12pm. We called at 12 when no one showed up and Kevin said they were running late. Called at 2pm and they would not answer the phone. Used another cell phone and Kevin answered right away, so they were ignoring the calls. Kevin said they would be there, not to worry, they were falling behind. This was 5 days ago. No calls, no follow up, nothing. They still don't answer our calls. We went somewhere else. Very unprofessional company. They also quoted us for more parts than necessary. My washer has been fixed for $90. Don't use them, they have aweful customer service, and will try to get more out of you than what you need. Keep away. read more

I have been using A1 appliance for quite a few years for myself and all my clients. After todays visit, never again. The customer service and quality of their technicians has gone drastically downhill. The tech that arrived said that the refrigerator which was running but not cooling enough had a bad compressor and a repair or compressor replacement was not worth it but it all seemed beyond his scope and advised me to call another service tech from a different company that he knew who repaired refrigerators as he could quote me a price to repair the fridge. This guy just wanted his $75 service call so that he could leave. Well I called the other tech who spoke with the initial service tech and he stated that the A1 service tech mis-diagnosed the problem, it was not a bad compressor it was an small leak in the evaporator coil. I could go on but its not necessary. This tech clearly didn't know what he was doing and A1 office doesnt have the courtesy of returning my call to inform them. I have an 8 year old LG Refrigerator that isn't cooling sufficiently. I called A-1 and Miguel showed up the same day. He was friendly and spent some time looking. As soon as he found a "partial frost pattern" on the Evaporator coil, he stated "can't be fixed" and "too expensive" and "EPA fines" and "better to buy a new one" because it is a "sealed compressor". Took a $55 service fee and bolted. I called a different repair guy who brazed on a valve, checked the refrigerant levels and gave me a better estimate on a repair. I would say if you have a fridge that has anything more than an icemaker problem these guys are not the guys to call. Sounds like they don't want to deal with Refrigerants. UPDATE: 6 years later, Fridge is still going strong. Glad I didn't buy a new one per their advice. read more

Spencer did a service call to assess the condition of my Maytag washer; I wasn't sure if the noises meant it was time to repair or replace. He told me that while there was some wear of bearings, the machine was still fully operational. Spencer also gave my Whirlpool dryer the once over and said it was fine. Spencer gave advice on good brands to consider with future purchases. Lastly, he gave a referral for cleaning my dryer duct. But after the service call and quote for the repair to be 180 dollars on a 40 part I elected to do it myself and save 140 dollars. The service repair they directed was incorrect, I have called numerous times in an attempt to have someone come out again to troubleshoot it for a second opinion. We moved in about a month ago and our dryer has never been able to produce heat. For some reason I had no idea that repair men for these equipments existed and was recommended by a neighbor to call A-1. I called on Tuesday morning and they worked with my annoying schedule and got someone out first thing the next morning. Mike was my technician and was so amazing, if you can request anyone request him! He was kind and was able to diagnose the issue immediately. He didn't have the same exact fuse that my dryer had initially so he offered to come back later with the part and finish the job. He came earlier than when he said he would and finished the job super quick while we chatted about cats. I will forever recommend this company as well as Mike and his customer service to everyone I know! Thanks for saving my coins from the coin laundry and helping me out so fast, guys! We bought a new home and the former owner left the kitchen refrigerator, which we moved into the garage. Shortly therafter, it died. I liked the thought of a second fridge at home so I called A1 Appliance Service. I got a visit the following day and was told that the motor died. He had all the parts needed to fix the problem and half an hour later I had a working refrigerator/freezer again. The price was reasonable so I'm extremely happy. read more

My whirlpool washer has not been working well. I googled this company. 'Buddy' (I assume the owner) was short, but got Miguel out here right away. He looked at, recalibrate it, (essentially turned it off and then back on). Said he couldn't find anything wrong (even though I was standing here explaining the issue wasn't when the machine was turned on, but mid-cycle). He then went on to say- it may be the mother board, he didn't know, it can't be fixed and advised me against by 'Chinese' or 'Koreans'. I was CLEARLY offended by his blatant racist remark, so he recovered by adding ...for lack of accessibility to parts. He left, and the stall and non draining happened again, so I called Buddy. He didn't like that I said Miguel 'claimed' that is was... And started telling me what I couldn't and could say (as if I were one of his children). Needless to say this made me irate. He spoke to me as if I were a bother, and he annoyed to have to talk to me, again! He hung up, saying he would call back and never did. A week later I received a void check, and note saying 'don't call us again'. I have been shooting BLANKS down here in Florida with local companies and then customer service.... read more

I would avoid. My refrigerator/freezer was making a clicking noise and at times was not cooling/freezing correctly. I called A-1 and they sent out a technician. The technician stated that since the appliance was operating at the time he was there, and he could not hear any clicking that there was nothing he could do. Charged me $55 for the call and stated if there was a problem within 30 days the $55 would be credited to the actual repair. The guy did not even move the appliance to look at the back. 45 days later the refrigerator was not working and the clicking was occurring more often. I texted the tech and he said A-1 would not credit the $55 to the necessary repair. After some research, almost all blogs stated that the clicking was coming from the compressor relay. Today, I had a different company come out and as soon as he moved the refrigerator he saw the problem. The vents for the fan and coils were clogged which was causing the compressor to overheat. He vacuumed out the vents and cleaned the coils. He also changed the relay and installed a heavy duty replacement since the old relay was tripping for the past month and a half. He stated the newer refrigerators are notorious for having clogged vents because the vents are smaller and it is a common problem. I find it unacceptable that the A-1's technician did not even move the refrigerator to check the vents, the cooling fan, or even place his hand on the compressor to see if it was overheating. I would not recommend A-1. I wasted $55. read more

Be prepared to wait days as they made numerous mistakes scheduling and then rescheduling our appointment. Have had to wait 4 days for them to come and see my washing machine. Outstanding honest service. My dryer sits outside in a shed and parts fail regularly. First time had a repairmen to the house to troubleshoot he dryer and fee was reasonable. I've taken dryer parts in that I thought failed and instead of selling me the part requested they tested the part only to find it was ok. On that instance I ended up finding a problem with an electric feed. One time before I knew how to test fuses, thermostats, heating elements, I sent all the parts in with my wife. They tested the parts and only sold the bad part to her. More businesses should treat their customers like this. read more

My freezer was not making ice and I called this company based on a referral. Spencer came out and decided that the unit did not have the water valve turned on properly. He turned it on and heard the water rushing in so he assumed it was fixed. He did not wait to see if the freezer would make ice. I called the company and asked that he return since it was not making ice but common sense would have a technician stay and make sure the issue is resolved before leaving. He did not. Two separate trips and I wasn't willing to deal with a third. I called another company and they deemed it was a faulty motor and they fixed it on the spot.
