What in the world am I going to do with a basement full of drenched boxes. The answer is the local dump referred to Solid Waste disposal. It shares an entrance with the recycling center but has a separate driveway where your vehicle gets weighed pre and post drop off. The charge currently is a reasonable 3.5 cents per pound. Even though all my items were weighed down and ruined by water the charge is still reasonable. Thanks Shelby County for providing an alternate to recycling when the items can't be sorted for recycling.
