I hired A-1 based on the recommendation from the company I purchased my appliance from, and paid almost $900 for a poor and rushed installation job on a very expensive built-in refrigerator. It took almost a whole day to correct the mistakes they left. I called the office with my disappointment with the installation and never received a call back. Here's a list of the things that had to be corrected: 1.) The fridge was not fully seated in the opening, causing 1/2" + gap between the face of the cabinet and the rear side of the door panels. Caused by the water line and power cord being pinched behind. They weren't routed correctly!!! 2.) The power cord was not fully inserted into the outlet, and the cord was pinched behind the fridge body and the rear wall. Had to remove the fridge, re-route the line, and actually plug it in all the way. 3.) Water line pinched behind fridge, and water extension line added that was unneeded once the waterline was properly routed. LUCKILY it was a stainless line and didn't cause a huge water leak in my brand new kitchen. Had to remove the fridge and re-route the line, to correct this. 4.) Upper trim panel installed out of square with the face of the cabinet, causing the compressor door cover to be difficult to remove. Had to adjust the legs, reset the refrigerator, and reinstall the upper trim panel to correct this. 5.) Fridge not centered in opening, causing rubbing with right side trim. The trim flexed as the refrigerator door was opened and closed due to pressure from the refrigerator hinge. Had to adjust the legs and reset the refrigerator to correct this. Unfortunately, I was at work while this install happened. It was extremely disappointing to come home to the most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased, all crooked in the cabinet and sticking out (not built in at all). My friend at the house told me the installer was adamant that this was how it was supposed to look. I'm out almost $900 bucks and a full day, along with my contractor fixing all those installation mistakes. I called the following week to the office to explain my issues and never received a call back. I feel RIPPED OFF. read more

No one should ever use this vendor. They make mistakes and refuse to fix them. A1 installed our new washing machine for us. It has been leaking from the water exit installation point ever since, every time time we do a load of laundry. A1 doesn't pick up the phone or respond to the many voicemails I have left. We purchased a True refrigerator from AJ Madison and they recommended A-1 Pro to do the installation, telling us that Jessie Ramirez was great. We found out just how BAD he is this last week when we moved out our refrigerator to have new stone flooring put in. The electrical plate on top of the refrigerator was not tightened down there was a bulk of electrical cords pushed underneath it and the top was propped over it half off, so all the wiring was covered in dust. Underneath was even worse, the drain pan was unbolted on the right bottom side dragging on the floor when we moved it out and a wad of 1/4 inch braided stainless steel tubing that is 12 feet long was shoved above where the drain pan was supposed to be bolted in, hence there was water all over the floor, and mold starting to grow. The black plastic fan for evaporation was bent sideways on with the bottom of the drain pan underneath it, and the metal bracket which holds all of it together had been bent from vertical to horizontal. We contacted True Warranty with all of the pictures, and they stated that the installation was not done properly, and that the tubing should have been cut to fit properly under the refrigerator and that the fan and bracket were bent during installation. They are being gracious to send out a new electric plate cover, fan, and bracket under their warranty but we will have to pay out of pocket to the company repairing all of it. The mess from the water (mold) we have to take care of ourselves. So thank you for such awful service, as well as health risk due to your sloppy negligent work on installing a $20,000.00 refrigerator. We just had a Wolf range installed by Jesse and he was professional and thorough. I initially ordered the wrong stove and we needed to reschedule the appointment so this was the second time he had to come to the house. Jesse was patient and straightforward. He brought foot covers while in the house and steadily installed our new stove. He was patient with questions despite our install being the last of his long day and he was also solo since his partner was sick today. We are so happy with our new stove and also super happy that Jesse set up the clock and explained all the basics so I don't have to wait until I have time to go through the manual. I see the variable reviews and mine is on the positive side. Because in the end they did a great job of doing an oven installation. Admittedly they are difficult to reach and that is the only reason this is not a five star review. But we did not need to reach them after the install because the install was done well. They fixed another firm's installation so we knew what could go wrong, and that was probably helpful for both us and A-1. But we are very happy with their service, which was more skilled than that of the big box stores by leaps and bounds. read more

Installation of BlueStar range, vent, and backsplash Installation quality was good, but gas water heater issues when turning services back on, and these people do not keep their word- Buyer Beware before using their services! On Monday, May 20, 2024, the team arrived with my new appliances, picked up from the retail store that I had purchased them from. When trying to install the stove in the proper location, the found my existing gas line and electrical outlet were in the wrong location, and the stove couldn't be hooked up, flush to the wall in agreed on location. They said that they could move the existing locations for an additional $250.00, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. They hooked up the new stove with flex line, so I would not temporarily be without a range, and I paid them the agreed upon price of $750.00. On Wednesday, they came back, turned off my gas and electrical, and moved the lines, and then plumbed in the new stove, installed the vent and backsplash. When they went to turn on the gas and electrical to check the stove, the gas water heater would not re-ignite. They worked on it for over an hour, getting a more experienced technician on the phone for advise. They were finally able to bypass the igniter on the water heater. He told me that the igniter and gas valve had failed. They told me to call Bradford and White- manufacturers of the water heater, to see if it was under warranty. If it was, I could get the part and more a plumber to replace it. They assured me that the would payoff the service charge, which would cost about $225, since the unit failed "on their watch", while they were doing an installation and turning the gas that feeds my water heater off. I have repeatedly contacted A-1 Pro Installation, requesting reimbursement for my addition plumbing expense of $225. I have emailed them with copies of the receipt, as well as my cancelled check. I have yet to get a response- July 3, 2024. Their work was done competently, but these people do not keep their word. (Last unanswered email to them- below) Good morning, To date, I have not received any correspondence or reimbursement for the attached receipt. Your team assured me that since this had happened while they were working to finish the installation of my new Blue Star range, they would be responsible for it, as they were unable to properly relight my gas water heater due to ignitor and valve failure. Although I followed their instructions, your team did not follow through with reimbursement. If I do not get a response from you within the next 7 business days, I will escalate this issue. I had hoped to leave positive reviews on social media, but that will not be the case id this issue is not brought to completion within the next 10 business days.
